The best restaurants in City and Hunslet Leeds Yorkshire and The Humber

I had booked online and liased with a very helpful person called Makenzie. We were greeted by a lovely, smiley lady called Chloe who took us to a beautiful table in a private room. We ordered, a selection of starters (all amazing), chateaubriands and a vegetarian roast and then deserts. Each course was truly delicious! Our drinks were kept topped up and nothing was too much trouble for our amazing waitress who was super attentive, checking everything was ok throughout our visit. We live 50 miles away but already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you Dakota for making sure this meal was incredible!

The falafel is crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfectly creamy. Amazing flavors. Definitely returning!!!!!

We have now been to this restaurant four times and every time we have had a great experience. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. Look forward to visiting again and recommending to friends!

My sister and I had wanted to try here for a while and let’s say it didn’t disappoint! It is so tiny so I highly recommend you book as I lost count of the number of people that were turned away whilst we were eating. It’s not flash in terms of decor, cute though and rustic. The staff are so lovely and really the reviews speak for themselves on the quality of the food. We shared the nduja croquettes and the arancini to start. I’m a big arancini fan and this spinach and mozzarella one was one of the best I have been had! And how a tomato sauce can taste so different to any other tomato sauce I’ll never know. My sister had the famed pistachio pasta for main and I the nduja orecchiette. It was beautiful, can’t rate it highly enough. The wine was very reasonably priced and our bill leaving a tip was £70. Not that we are by any means foodies so to speak but we eat in Leeds together at least once a month and very rarely go anywhere again mainly due to so many great places but I would love to come here again and I’m sure we will. I can imagine on an evening you would imagine that you were in Rome or Florence or somewhere equally as beautiful. Believe the hype about La Piola and go! 🥰❤️

Not going to lie I chose this venue for the rum punch and music. Bottomless brunch food is not always the best. So I wasn't expecting the food to be so tasty and the portions to be decent. I ordered curry goat, and my daughter got the jerk chicken with a side of plantain and we shared. I was also sceptical about boneless jerk chicken🤔 I was pleasantly surprised, goat was nice and spicy, chicken was smokey and delicious. Lovely vibe and friendly staff.will definitely return

Absolutamente increíble comida sabrosa. Grandes porciones y muy buen precio. Probablemente no es un restaurante en el sentido tradicional, pero puede sentarse dentro después de pedir en el mostrador. El personal es muy amable. Pero sólo en efectivo. ¡Volvería otra vez!

He estado en tantos lugares de Shawarma. Nada se acerca a esto. La mejor envoltura de shawarma. Una vez que lo pruebes te volverás adicto a la envoltura de shawarma.

Vaya. Rosquillas absolutamente irreales con una cantidad perfecta de relleno. Me recuerdan a una rosquilla típica de la costa pero luego con los rellenos dentro. ¡Me encantan los especiales de temporada y no puedo esperar a probar más!

Gran comida, buen ambiente, personal amable, fallas nowt, gran pollo frito si estás atrapado en qué pedir, siempre un ganador

Absolutamente increíble experiencia. Elegimos el menú degustación y para ser honestos todo lo servido fue genial. De los entrantes / platos servidos nos gustó mucho la mantequilla de ternera, la gallina de los bosques, las gambas y el salmón. Pero el postre con queso dulce, coco, piña, naranja ácida fue el mejor postre que tuvimos y tuvimos que pedir otro: ). El personal era muy atento y súper amable explicando todo lo servido, en general muy buena experiencia a precios decentes para un restaurante de estrella Michelin. Realmente lo recomiendo.

Me encanta la comida del norte de África, así que estaba deseando nuestra visita aquí. Y no me decepcionó. Gran comida y un servicio amable, y recomiendo encarecidamente un viaje aquí si tienes oportunidad.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Waitress, Margarett, was really helpful when we arrived, explained the menu really well and recommended the bento boxes which meant we got to try loads of different dishes. Food was amazing, so delicious and really good value. I had mentioned in the booking that it was my girlfriend's birthday and they surprised us with a huge slice of cake for dessert, which was a lovely surprise. Would 100% recommend and can't wait to go again and try some of the other dishes.

Estos tipos son la mejor cafetería en el norte de la ciudad alrededor de las universidades, el hospital y el Consejo. Voy con cada vez que estoy en Leeds (vivo en el extranjero).

Our new FAVOURITE Indian in Wakefield Home cooked food, fresh, tasty and definitely worth a visit. This is our third visit and we don’t usually book and have being lucky with getting a table, but as it’s starting to be on the radar of home cooked Indians I’d suggest booking first. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the food and when it lands we soon consume it haha but managed to get a picture tonight of the Dahl and the butter chicken. My favourite is lentil Dahl, my husbands is the butter chicken, both dishes are delicious. We love the bhaji, we prefer the smaller portion for just two of us, just right. Another favourite is pickle tray delicious raita and lime pickle. I would 100% give this place a BIG THUMBS UP!! We used to go to Leeds for our regular Indian nights but now we don’t need to, sorry cats pjamas Leeds.
