The best restaurants in Weaponness Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Our party of 12 recently enjoyed a Christmas dinner. A warm welcome, attentive service and a wonderful ambience were all in abundance. The location is among the best on the east coast and the venue is basically perfect for an evening out and not just a meal. All tastes were catered for. Our family enjoyed the sumptuous Sea Bass, melt in your mouth Beef Brisket and of course my favourite, traditional Christmas turkey. All the food was delicious and presented to a high standard. The parfait starter was given high praise but desserts were arguably the best course and special mention must go the extensive cheeseboard. Admittedly I was initially reluctant to write a review as we were thinking of keeping this venue as our little secret. However Cecil's deserves to be talked about, given the lovely service from the staff team (even the Newcastle united fan barman 😁) and the obvious investment and care that has gone into making this restaurant so nice. We had a delightful meal at Tuscany Too the weekend before Christmas. A busy Bistro style restaurant with great staff. The menu has something for everyone and we were all very happy with our choices. I had the lobster ravioli for my main course, and it was excellent. Just after we arrived there was a short visit from a group of musicians who played a selection of festive tunes - a novelty act that seemed all part of the pre Christmas fun. Really good people work here. Thanks again!

Must have been to Scarborough a thousand times and never been in this little cafe before. I think it's a well kept secret. Right past the spa, it's quite a walk. Had a lovely coffee and a cake.

I was a regular but won’t be going back, used to to be table service now have to order at the till, only one staff member on who took my money then had to make drinks whilst other clients had to wait in queue, I hate this system, the poached eggs were over cooked and my mates fish was 60% batter, this used to be an amazing place to go, but as usual chasing the bottom line spoils the experience, maybe it was a bad day, I hope so. Note to owner, dump the till queues and brink back table service it enhances the experience and allows waiters to up sell, “would like a pudding or coffee sir, I’ll bring it to your table.

Unos días antes de ir al bar a comer, una mañana había visitado la recepción del hotel para preguntar qué se servía allí los domingos. El personal muy servicial y agradable me dio toda la información que necesitaba. El domingo fui al bar con mi hijo. El almuerzo dominical se sirve de 12 a 3 , llegamos sobre las 2 . 15 . Nos dimos cuenta de que nadie en el bar estaba comiendo. Había dos miembros del personal en el bar, mi hijo preguntó si había una opción vegetariana. Ninguno de los dos miembros del personal sabía cuál era la opción, lo averiguaron por nosotros, pero yo habría pensado que habrían tenido la información a mano, especialmente en esa etapa de la hora del almuerzo. El personal era servicial, pero parecía ser un poco vago sobre todo! Decidimos comer en otro lugar.

Three times we were brought the wrong drinks, the food was very poor. At the end of the meal we felt pressured to leave as the staff starting laying the table for the next day. Would not recommend the Wild Fig and certainly would not go there again.
