Excellent cafe, went with family, had stacked pancakes with maple syrup, blueberries, and bacon. Fantastic. Going again next week will have the same.

We stayed in an air b&b round the corner and stumbled across this lovely little coffee shop. The pumpkin spice lattes we had were beautiful and the lady was so lovely we had to visit twice!

visited with family after walking around the local area. excellent food and coffee. service a little slow but they were very busy. I will come back. Reading other reviewers fixation about the local insect like is almost a joke. you are surrounded by by trees and farm land so expect insects otherwise stay in the city or would you prefer the use of DDT and agent orange to sanitise your visit.

Food was good but 2 things to criticise: the heating was turned up way too high plus the portion sizes of the deserts were considerable small considering the price.

If you’re ever in Bishopthorpe, I highly recommend visiting this charming pub! We had the pleasure of reserving a table, and the whole experience was fantastic. The the pie—absolutely outstanding. The photos don’t do it justice. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Plus, it’s great to know that they’re dog-friendly, so our four-legged friend was just as welcome as we were! A perfect spot for a cozy meal with great food, service, and atmosphere. I can’t wait to return!

El restaurante es una delicia. Paredes paneladas y lino blanco. El servicio es formal sin congestionamiento. Si usted no está acostumbrado a "buena comida" se le hará bienvenido aquí, pero vestir inteligente. Imprescindible reservar si las carreras tienen lugar en York, y probablemente también los fines de semana. La comida se prepara muy cuidadosamente. Best fish I've had chips were great, brilliant price 6 pound odd for small fish and chips but were a good portion would definitely come again, if I'm working in the area in the future, the perfect after work tea.

We had our annual family Christmas meal here yesterday for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. It’s beautifully decorated for Christmas, everyone who served us were polite, friendly and we felt really well looked after, the food was absolutely fantastic. It’s the best Christmas meal we’ve had and the best venue we’ve been to, we already can’t wait to book again for the first birthday of the year. Thank you for making our evening so special, Merry Christmas

Fantastic country pub in a lovely setting by the river. We’ve eaten here loads of times and the food is always top notch! Very friendly owners and staff. Just returned from a lovely afternoon eating a fabulous Sunday lunch accompanied by a nice Shiraz (no dry Jan for us!!) and roaring open fire, very cosy on a gloomy January winters day! Thanks guys, we value you being one of our favourite local pubs 👏👌🍷

Marido y yo vinimos después de visitar el mercado de Navidad, el personal era muy amable y servicial. La comida era increíble, especialmente las patatas fritas. Simplemente decepcionado de que no vivo localmente.
