Agathas in Enfield

Just devoured a portion of the best chips I've eaten in some time. Crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. Perfect!

The most delicious fish, chips and bbq ribs! Honestly our fav spot for consistently tasty take away treats. Also run by lovely warm and welcoming owners.

This chips here are perfection! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. And a lovely novelty to see a side of a whole potato scored into chips. The battered halloumi - yum. I'm told the battered fish was delicious as well by both people who had it at our takeaway meal. Not eating fish and having tasted just the batter, do agree based on that. Will return and explore more.

The food is awful, and it's false advertisement. Ordered Lamb Souvla, which is supposed to be lamb chops over charcoal. When I got home and opened the food up, it was a lamb Shank or some other part of the lamb, it was tough old meat and very little of it. I eat what measley bit of meat I could find on the bone The chips were disgusting, and all this for £25, I was recommended by a mate, to try Agatha's by far the worst food decision in a long time. Avoid this pace like the plague.

time kept changing, chicken kabab was cold, the chicken was dry, tough and overcooked, the salad was crunchy and the pitta wasn't edible. no sauce came with it.

The chip shop chips are the best, crispy and taste. Cant beat the souvla, two different cut versions offered for the lamb. Chicken souvla is lovely. Service is quick and often friendly. Available for delivery but prices are higher. Unfortunately they dont offer a dine in service but food makes up for it.

Love this place! I’ve ordered quite a few different things from Agathas over years and it all tastes great. Special shout out to the chicken souvlaki which is always cooked perfectly & the chips are also incredible.

My Souvla was delicious! Will definitely be coming again that’s for sure! Authenticity cooked, where the staff were so warm and friendly, such a great place! I travelled a long way to try this and it was so worth it 👌🏼

Possibly the worst service I've ever come across in an establishment.

Incredibly rude staff. We’ve tried twice to order in person now and both times we were met with dismissive and rude comments. The first time we went well before closing time and they refused to serve us because we came ‘too late’. The second time we politely asked if the large portions were enough for two. The lady who was serving us became visibly frustrated with this question, raised her voice, started waving her hands around and said ‘you’ll know when I serve you’. Both times we were very polite and patient. I honestly have never been met with such terrible service.

this was recommended by a friend months ago, decided to give it a try and was definitely not disappointed. Fantastic food. Great delivery. A little extra added, which was amazing and much appreciated. Thank you, will be back.

Very delicious wasn’t dry at all good portions sizes

Chilli sauce was not hot at all and chips were rubbish good one on top bits underneath

“Do you…?” “No” “Can I get…?” “No.” Even on the odd occasion I have managed to extract some food out of this lot it’s been average at best. They seem to exist purely to not provide any kind of hospitality. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I'm not going to say that the food was awful, but it was on the cold side and quite dry. It was worth trying, but I don't think I'll be back.

If you're craving the best kebabs and fish and chips in Winchmore Hill, Agatha’s is your go-to spot. They’ve been dishing out amazing Greek Cypriot eats for over 30 years and trust me, it shows. George and Sue, the owners, are total gems – super friendly and they know their stuff. Every time you walk in, expect a big smile and food that’ll make you come back for more. Haven’t been in a while? You’ve gotta swing by and taste what you’ve been missing!

Extremely rude woman behind the counter pretending to serve customers. The moment I walked in she scolded me for picking up a cardboard menu from the counter and said I should pick up the menus behind me. I don’t have eyes at the back of my head. She then became frustrated when after a long day I was taking my time deciding what to order and she was speaking to me as if I am at school. I will not be coming to this place again. We are the customers and we should be able to take as long as we like to eat. I advised her to learn some manners

Stopped using McDonald's because they've become expensive and unreliable. Suitable substitute now established. Foods better too.

Had a really tasty kebabs and chips from Agathas on Saturday night. Quick service and so friendly. Even popped in a complementary souvla for us to enjoy - which we had never tried before but would order next time it was so delicious!! Highly recommend as so reasonably priced too!!

Stated they where open on Google but when I arrived they had a sign stating they where closed for holidays. Wasted my time. Next time update your Google profile. I run my own business and it's not that hard.

This is an absolutely amazing little Greek takeaway -charcoal ribs are fantastic, chips are the best I’ve had, and it’s family run and authentic. In an area saturated with competitive Greek restaurants this is top.

Thought we would give this place a go after never going there before. Will never go again. Over priced!, The most oiliest fish I have ever eaten in London. Base of fish batter was thick and full of oil. The chips were all broken, some burnt and looked like they were double fried, also oily. The worst fish and chip shop for me in Enfield. Bag size of chips was small and overpriced.

Had Cod and chips freshly fried to order, the batter was crisp, and the chips are always the best.They also cook kebabs to order oncharcoal with lots of fresh salad. Friendly staff, been there for years , testament, good food, good service

I tried Agatha's again - after a considerable gap in time - in the hope things might have improved since the last time I was there, but no. The fish was ok not great, as the batter was a bit soggy, but the chips were absolutely awful, AGAIN. Large portion but they were so dry and wrinkly I'm convinced they had either been left in the fryer overnight, since the last service, or had been cooked so early in the day before opening and just left there to go dry. They tasted so old, dry, tasteless - generally unappetizing. A considerable number of them were also just dry overcooked potato scraps too, not proper chips. As I'd gone there only half an hour after opening up i thought everything would be fresh, but the opposite was true. I'm never going there for fish and chips again.

Decent Kebabs and the meat is juicy, the food isn't too good, but still it tastes decent, depending on your palette. The staff are kind and helpful, I'd recommend to fellow fish 'n' chips lovers.

The fish was cooked very well. The chips could have been better - they were a bit dry and over cooked The portion size is big!

Great fish and chips, fresh and cooked to order with a lovely light and crispy batter. The doner kebab is amazing too, I ask for it well down and Agatha’s are very accommodating. Lamb meatballs are different class and a nice twist on traditional recipes.

Brought sheftalia from Deliveroo? Tne meat was was not cooked inside and burnt on the outside ? Took a bite of it and realised it was raw ? Pls make sure u cook the meat I could of got food poisoning.

On this occasion the food was way below its usual standard. The chips seemed to have been refried and although we went to the shop ourselves to pick up the fresh ones that were offered, they too were far below the usual standard. Unfortunately out of a £40 + order, most of the food had to be binned. On the flip side, this is a very rare occurrence for this restaurant which has always had a very good reputation. Everyone is allowed a bad day once in a while so I absolutely would not hold this against them.

One of the best and most popular locations for a Greek family run business. Winchmore Hill is where alot of the best Greek places are. This take away shop does very good tasty dishes and the staff are friendly and welcoming :)

INEDIBLE, OVERPRICED AND JUST AWFUL.....!!! Ordered kleftico at £17!!!. Inedible and far from traditional. The potatoes were also awful and tasted like they had been cooked four days before. I have eaten this dish in Greece, in restaurants here and via delivery and Agatha's version us as so so far from even the concept of the dish! If I could give a minus score I would.....even our cat wouldn't touch it. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The fish was oily and batter really thick and almost burnt and chips tasted like they were re-fried. Would not buy from here again! Worst ever had. Think they should choose to specialise in one area of takeaway.

Agathas’s are the best local souvlaki and fish and chip take away in the area. It’s always super fresh, delicious and they give you huge portions. Highly recommended! 👍🏽

I was really impressed by this meal. We ordered 2 battered sausages with chips and they were good portion sizes and the chips were cooked to perfection, nice and crispy (not soggy and undercooked like most chippy’s I’ve been to in recent times). They chucked in some sauces and a pitta for free. Will definitely be ordering from here again. One thing I would say is would prefer the battered sausage slightly crispier but was still very enjoyable!
