The food at this Greek restaurant was pretty decent —authentic flavours and fresh ingredients. The souvlaki was delicious and the mezzes were tasty. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively. They had good selection of alcohol drinks and were kind to offer us digestive drink on the house. The only downside was that I felt a bit rushed during the meal. The staff were attentive, but it seemed like they were eager to turn over tables quickly, which took away from the otherwise relaxed, Mediterranean vibe I was expecting. Overall, a good spot for Greek food—just wish the pacing of the service was a little more relaxed!

First time for a birthday meal. need more Vegetarian options but I did enjoy my meal halloumi and the chips were really nice. Very busy on a Saturday evening felt like did get a bit forgotten at times, we were asked what did we want to order and we didn’t actually be given a menu.

Really friendly neighbourhood Greek Cypriot restaurant excellent food great staff could smell charcoaled meat being cooked as soon as we walked in the place was super clean and spacious. If you’re up to it I would recommend the mixed meze a bit of everything from the menu the food just kept coming. Delicious

Phenomenally delicious. Excellent service. They're responsible for me having a new favourite dish! If I didn't live on the other side of the world I'd definitely be a regular customer.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding anniversary at this restaurant yesterday. There were 25 of us. Everything about our time there was just fantastic. The food, the service, the ambience, just everything, even the cost! All of our guests want to go back! Can’t speak highly enough of the restaurant!

In the top 10 meals I've eaten in my lifetime!!! Absolutely stunning grilled Calamari octopus prawns Tara Cyprus chips omg just the best!!

Fantastic food we went for the meze for 2 and I was very impressed with the everything, great value for money Service was a little slow to bring out the startes but no complaints that's just me being picky as I was really hungry and it was on the weekend so it's expected For sure I will return with the family soon

The service was good. The restaurant was very clean and well presented. Cannot fault the staff, the service or the restaurant itself. The sea bass was beautifully cooked and tasted gorgeous but the calamari came with no sauce and there were no dips or sauces and we eat out a lot and i have never been served battered squid and octopus as a main without any sauces or dips. When we asked the waiter told us this is not Macdonalds. Wow. It was a shame because it was the little things that spoilt the experience.

Great food, atmosphere and service. Deserie never disappoints whether you go there for lunch or dinner. The coconut cake with pistachio ice cream is a must try. Definitely recommend this place however do book for the weekend as it gets very busy.

Probably the best Greek place in north London, in my opinion better than any other Greek restaurant including Opso! I came for my birthday and many special occasions since. Love it. Love the Greek attention to subtle flavours and love the Greek culture. The only problem is you'll be thinking about your next trip. Babidondas is also good but this place definitely the number ONE Greek food in London .

I had the pleasure of eating at Deserie and was thoroughly impressed by the genuine Greek Cypriot authenticity and quality of their food. The mixed kebab main with lamb, prok and chicken souvlaki were cooked to perfection, full of flavour and texture. Even the starters, dips like taramasalata, humus was exceptional, right to the end with lovely homemade triantafillo (rose) ice cream🌹🍦 and bakalava were all lovely. The service was brilliant, with the staff providing fast, friendly, and efficient service. Their genuine Greek Cypriot hospitality added a lovely touch of fun and banter to the experience. I highly recommend Deserie for anyone seeking an authentic Greek Cypriot dining experience. Only thing missing was bit of an atmosphere like louder Greek music. Was really quiet

The restaurant was crowded, which I don’t understand given how poor the quality was and how expensive it is. The portions were small and badly prepared, the grill meat was dry, like it had been standing for a while. The bill came to at least twice what I’d expect to pay elsewhere for much better food. Service was quick and attentive, which is the only thing that stops me from giving just one star. Overall, definitely not a place I’d either recommend or return to. I felt like I’d been ripped off.

Absolutely appalled that when I left the table the waitress swipped my mobile phone which we later found hidden behind 4 toilet rolls in the cubical of the ladies toilets. If it wasn’t for my friend who rang my phone while I’m the toilets then she would’ve taken it home that evening. Disgusting!!!

This restaurant serves the best Greek food in London. On our latest visit I opted for the calf’s liver stater My wife chose the dolmades both were cooked to perfection. Our main course’s were grilled red mullet and the mixed grill both absolutely delicious. The service was excellent as usual. To top it off fantastic value for money.

First time at this restaurant, great service from the waiters , some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had. We had a bottle of Gavi Di Gavi which was exceptional. I highly recommend try his place .

The best Greek restaurant I've been too for a long time I have been before and really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Returned again today and had the octopus which melted in the mouth then had the mixed grill Platter which was the best I've tasted in year's the lamb was very tender and tasty my brother had the same and was very happy with the food. My mum went for seabass which was also very tasty and a nice size portion, another good thing about the place is they always offer a drink on the house which will entice you back,a very busy and nicely decorated restaurant with excellent waiting staff and food also the chefs are a credit to the place. Can't wait to return ,if in the area well worth dropping by.

I've been here a few times and whenever I've been not once has the owner ever greeted me nor the people I'm with. We've literally walked in whilst he's stood there and hasn't said a hello. He just looks past you regardless if you smile or say hello. But as soon as he sees someone he knows he runs after them like a poodle. He'll walk around the tables and not even say a quick hello or ask how you're doing.

We have been going to Deserie restaurant regularly for many years and booked in advance for a 60th birthday Sunday lunch for 5 people. Having been there many times before, when making the booking we had asked the owner for a table facing the window and for a bottle of champagne for the birthday celebration. We arrived a couple of minutes later than our 2 guests and within 5 minutes of our booking time and the table we had been given was not one near to the window but was next to the wall. We were told that the window table was not available despite the fact there was an empty table facing the window, which remained empty for at least the next 2 hours. The restaurant was not busy, only about 25% of the tables occupied when we arrived and about 50% of them by the time we left. The champagne which had previously been requested was not on the table for us and we had to request it twice before it was brought to the table about 10 minutes after we had arrived. Our daughter then had to wait a further 5 minutes for still water to be brought to the table despite having asked the waiting staff for this on 3 occasions during the 15 minutes since we arrived. Food was good but the whole experience was disappointing, especially when they asked for us to give up the table where we were sitting when we had only just been served with after dinner drinks because they had a large party due to arrive. We moved to another table, finished our after dinner drinks and asked for the bill, only to find that we had even been charged more than £7 (plus 10% service charge) for the small one portion piece of birthday cake which most decent restaurants would have provided without charge. The total bill came to nearly £90 per person and was not worth half of that amount. This restaurant used to be good value for money, but for the last 4 years has become all about fleecing the customer. A good bottle of wine was £16 to £18 per bottle in 2020, but now even their mediocre house wine is £25.95 (+10% service charge) and for anything decent you have to pay nearer £40 per bottle, plus 10% service charge. Could not believe the lack of interest/effort for our special occasion, particularly from the owner who has known us for more than 10 years.

Delicious, delicious and delicious ! But be warned that the Meze is so much food... not complaining! For sure it's a place where I want to come back!

Great traditional Cypriot food cooked on the BBQ. Clean tidy restaurant. Service was friendly. Not so busy for a Sunday evening. One of better restaurants in this well stocked High St.

Nicely presented dishes, on the large side so make sure you are hungry. Lovely atmosphere.

One of the best Greek restaurants in London very clean, fast and efficient Staff

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our party all had the mixed meze. One of our diners was gluten free and they were very helpful in explaining what she could and couldn't have and even offered alternative options where possible. Food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The restaurant was busy which doesn't surprise me! Definitely worth a visit.

1. Service was really bad, did not take the customer into account and some of the orders arrived really late and we could not get their attention when needed. I wanted salad as a started but was told I couldn’t have that as they bring it later with the mains and brought 8 dip dishes at £5 each instead which we couldn’t finish anyway. Despite that they still charged us £45.74 for service alone. 2. It’s expensive for what they bring (a plate with some kebab that looks empty and a ‘collective’ chips plate). 3. We were asked to leave as they needed the table for other customers! We were really disappointed as a group of customers and that’s the last time for us there.

The Greek salad was made of lettuce, tomato, red pepper and feta. So no cucumber, Kalamata olives, onion or dressing. When I spoke to a waiter he said they didn’t have any black olives and he brought me a small plate of onions and olive oil and vinegar. They charged us full price for the dreadful salad and service and had the audacity to charge us a service charge, and full price for 2 cheap nasty salads. Others had lamb shish which was a tough as old boots. Clearly they do something well, because it was a busy place. But it will not be somewhere we ever set foot inside again or recommend.

First time going to Deserie but really disappointed as with the overwhelming good reviews on Google we expected a better experience . We were served burnt chicken and lamb souvla at the recommendation of the waiter and soggy overcooked fresh Calamari! They replaced the burnt chicken for us to take home but the chicken appeared to be the same chicken with the burnt black bits cut off as it still had remnants of potato and tarama from the plate...... Went straight in the bin. Out of 8 meals only the Kleftiko and pork chop were decent. The pork chop being so big it ended up getting shared around to the others whose meals were shoddy. Sorry Deserie but you must do better for a bill of £322.

Spotless restaurant. Attentive service. Comfortable seating. Food is of a high standard. Mixed grilled octopus and kalamari main was superbly tender. Some may say pricey, but you get what you pay for here I believe, and you can't say that about all restaurants. It was a Sunday lunchtime, and I would like to have had some slightly more prominent Greek music and bouzouki playing in the background. All very good, and will return.

We visit this busy restaurant quite regularly. Very pleasant atmosphere and polite, but not overly friendly service. Sometimes, we feel a little rushed to finish our meal. The food is of a high standard and very tasty. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up quite a lot, and we won't be dining as often. Parking is also quite difficult.

Had a fabulous meal here with my daughter. Im a seafood lover, and we had the octopus, calamari, and seabass. I can honestly say it was cooked to perfection, which is incredibly hard when it comes to anything with tentacles

First time here at Deserie, booked a table for 2 at 7pm. We were seated straight away. The manager man came out and greeted us with a pleasant warm welcoming vibe. The starters came out super quick, fast service and waitress was very attentive. The other waiter saw us finish our starters and ask if we are ready for the main meal, that too also came out so fast. The quality of the food tastes very nice seasoned and served with LOVE. Got full quiet quickly so didn’t fancy a desert … when waiting for the bill they brought over a small plate of complimentary fruits which I thought was really nice. So nice to see a lot of customers come in and out, very clean and super fast service Thank you very much

Delicious authentic greek food. But be warned that the Meze is soooo much food... not complaining! Great tasting sheftalia (my fave). Good service and feels like it's family run with authentic Greek people serving. Can get loud in the restaurant... everyone's having a great time! Lovely in the summer with an open front and tables spilling out of the restaurant. Lovely decor inside. Complementary fruit salad at the end had amazing sweet watermelon!

Best Greek food I've had in a long time. We had a party of 11 celebrating my granddad's 80th Birthday and all the staff sang happy birthday and bought the cake out, which was lovely. The service was excellent throughout and was impressed with their attention to detail. The atmosphere in the restaurant was buzzin and packed full of customers. The food was just as great! I ordered the Sheftalia to start, it was tender, juicy and bursting with flavour with a perfect crispy char exterior. The lamb and chicken Souvlaki was also excellent, extremely tender, beautifully marinaded with a huge portion of beautifully cooked chips, crispy exterior and a lovely fluffy interior. We also ordered a range of sides/salads. I was extremely impressed by the portion sizes of all the dishes and we just about managed to finish it all. Huge thumbs up for Deserie. Best Greek Restaurant I've ever been too!

What a restaurant! The staff are all amazing and the owner George is so hospitable! Food was amazing to say the least! We went all out on their fish dishes this time round and it did not disappoint! I look very much to going back soon!

Best Greek Cypriot restaurant I have ever been to in the UK! I just felt like we were back in Cyprus. Such fresh quality fish and meat & delicious salad! We have been coming nearly every 2 week as the quality is that good! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Thanks so much again!

Amazing food, friendly staff, great atmosphere! Did not feel like we were eating in the UK. We got the seafood set menu for 2 and 2 more mains for 5 people. It was more than enough food. Wide variety of hot and cold starters, really fresh fish dishes. The lampchops were so tender and melt in the mouth. Highly recommend, would not hesitate to return.

Had a wonderful meal here on 3rd June with my sons , celebrating my 80th birthday. We all opted for the Meze and the food was absolutely delicious. In fact all of us thought it was the best Meze we had ever had. Such generous portions too! My boys can eat, and I mean, really eat yet there was more than enough to satisfy their healthy appetites. Service was great too. Not rushed and yet not left waiting too long. Thank you Deserie for helping to make my birthday so special.

Can someone please tell me what is happening with the prices at desiree 5 people for lunch only 2 starters 5 mains and one ice cream with soft drinks £225 we are not in mayfair its my local but not going back Everyone has been saying their bill must be incorrect

There is no question that the food here is prepared and served exceptionally well but I just had a very disappointing experience in order to try and book a table with the lady over the phone. First I was told they had no tables but then if I came early enough I could get a table for my friend and I. Then I was told "no you cant come because Meze takes too long." Okay, so then I requested that we could order mixed kebabs at the table which was acceptable, then told 30 seconds later no kebabs take too long as they need the table for 7pm. 1hr to cook kebabs? sure if you need to slaughter the animal on site I can understand the timeframe. I understand this restaurant is highly desirable on a Saturday night but don't tell a customer that he can have a table if they eat something that is quick to make and then back-pedal and tell them they cant have the table. Just tell the customer "We are not taking any more bookings for tonight, may we book another night for you and your friend to come and see us?" instead of opening a negotiation with the customer. Am I expecting too much or is that service only reserved for central London restaurants? Like I say, great food but book a table in advance to avoid the grief I have just had to endure over the phone!

Here celebrating a family birthday of about 25, this place was absolutely buzzing the food was amazing and the waiting staff were lovely we really enjoyed it and would recommend it!

Visited on 23rd December for my daughters 27th Birthday, We had a variety of meals, 2 of us had the Meze. The cold starters were average some dishes just should not be servers the seafood was tasteless, the chicken in mayo how is that Greek? The hot food Keftedes tasteless the loukaniko terrible. However the fish was fresh- sea bream and the meat was tasty. Overall too prices for what it was. Charged us for the birthday cake and a couple of other minor items. Then 10% on top so ripped off by around £20 Overall bill £186 for 5 of us and we had no alcohol! I wanted to aske them to remove the items but didn't want to make a scene as it was my daughters birthday. We won't be returning as integrity and value is key!, we travelled over an hour from Sidcup Kent for the occasion.

Most delicious Greek food restaurant I've ever been to. The chicken kebab is insanely most and juicy. Love all the specials too - dolmades and afgolemono soup. Just pure heaven! Helped by attentive staff and comfortable seats/tables.

I have been here a few times and i can clearly say that, this restaurant is one of the best Greek restaurants not only in London but also in UK. Their staff from waiters to waitresses are extremely friendly and professional. I am unable to talk about their food quality as its impossible to describe. But all i can say is Perfection. They have amazing drink menu where you can find some of best wines. The athmosphere is extremely warm and clean, very convenient spot for parking too. I highly recommend everyone to try some real mediterranian influence and eat here once. I am sure it will be an addiction and added to your best places list. I hope this restaurant will be here all the time as a business, because i believe it is a gem to the London. Thanks to anyone who served me and my friends/family during my visit. All great fantastic warm friendly real people.

Disaster, got a takeaway yesterday, containers collapsed and meat juices spilled all over clothing and car seats ! When I returned they cleaned the trays covered with cling film and repacked, within two minutes, expected a lot more especially as we have to pay for valeting the car seats. An apology would go a long way and at least add more gravy and redo part of my order I felt they could not be bothered

Visited last Saturday and was dissapointed , Ordered the Mixed Pork kebabs with Sheftales . No salad !!! has to be ordered seperatly as you only get a teaspoon of onions and a leaf of parsley. This takes away the essence of eating tradional Greek food and for £15.95 per portion with no salad rather dissapointing and the pork was bit tough . Had as a starter some nice octopus 4 x legs for 2 which is overpriced , I dont mind paying for eating out but leaving not satisfied hmmm not good , Overall expensive for what you get for the £. Willnot visit again
