Delivery hours late, lied to over the phone when I asked for updates and then started to ignore my calls. Finally got through to a rude member of their staff. Food came with missing item and curry was overly salty. Won’t order again.

Delivery was vold only coming down Hotham rd my chicken tikka batl massala was disgusting it was like chicken in a full bottle of ketchup absolutely tasteless!!!! Never again !!!!

Otra media hora más tarde todavía no con nosotros. Traté de llamarlos de nuevo, pero nadie levantó el teléfono, sólo sonó y sonó, 21: 00 sonó la campana. La comida estaba fría, los bhajees de cebolla estaban fríos y blandos. 1 3⁄4 tarde. No lo suficiente.

Took over 2 hours to deliver from ordering with updated until that 5 minutes. No apology as to why it was so late.

Indian food at it's best. Lamb madras is awesome. Quantity and quality makes it my go to Indian. Brian Cottingham

I requested 18.10 for delivery, you changed that to 18.30, it arrived at 18.55

Absolutely delicious! I normally eat in here and it's always good. First time to have delivered. it was piping hot, early and just as good as if we'd eaten in the restaurant. Will be ordering again

I ordered my food at 17.30 and delivery was supposed to be 18.35 but it never turned up, then they said 19.25 and it still hasn’t turned up and it is 19.50 now!!!

My food was ordered at 19.00 and wasn’t delivered till 22.00, then when it arrived the chips that was supposed to go with the steak was missing, the restaurant wouldn’t answer the phone either, to say I’m not happy is a understatement.

Used to be so good but has changed massively. Over an hour late delivery and everytime I rang they lied and said it was on its way. Ordered a jalfrezi and got a chilli korai which they even wrote on the lid then crossed out and wrote jalfrezi. You knew your mistake and couldn’t be bothered to rectify it and hoped I wouldn’t notice. Shocking service. Won’t be eating from here again.

Food was delicious, but original delivery time was 8:30, changed to 8:55 and then 9:25 and it didn't arrive until 10:15. I understand that it's Saturday evening and they're busy but it's totally unacceptable to be that late!

Utterly useless. Ordered via Justeat, food was an hour late. When I called the restaurant I was met by half baked excuses and arguing in the background. Clearly the team there couldn’t find there arse with both hands. They then cancelled my just eat order so I couldn’t review via justeat.

Delivery time listed was 45 minutes to an hour. Actual delivery time after order increased up between 60 mins and 90 mins. Requested update delivery time which became 105 minutes. After this slot was missed called the restaurant who said the delivery was on the way. 15 minutes later order cancelled by restaurant. When I called to ask why they said the driver had been calling for half an hour trying to find the address. 1. No missed calls, 2. Just Eat messages got through, 3 my calls to restaurant all got through, 4 if the driver had been calling for half an hour, this was 15 minutes before I called to ask for an update. The server on the phone said they could get the food delivered if I could pay cash which I agreed. Another 30 minutes later, called to ask for an update and the server told me they couldn't deliver the food as the driver had other deliveries and they'd have to make the food again. I asked why they didn't tell me this before, the server lied and said he'd get the manager to call. 30 mins later no call from manager and no response when I called. Shambolic service and highly dishonest.

Waited an hour and a half for them to just cancel. Absolutely fuming. Lost a regular customer.

Got food to take away, but wow food was amazing. Restaurant looked amazing when I went in to pick up my food. Fast friendly and polite staff.

Alachi always has delicious food and we are always made to feel welcome by friendly staff. There is an extensive menu and they are happy to adapt items for you if you ask (for example changing the spice level or the meat used). This is our regular Indian restaurant for special occasions and they have always been able to accommodate a large party of 8+ people. They do not serve alcohol (I believe due to religious reasons), but do allow you to bring your own to drink with your meal. There is on-street parking outside the restaurant which usually has spaces in the evening.

Food was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. Great value for money

No answer on the phones so ordered online, food then took that long and with no one answering phones we ordered from somewhere else, the other food came before this arrived 2.5 hours after ordering. We had to turn them away it is not acceptable. They then phones saying would make it cheaper but we had already ordered and the food had been delivered from another takeaway. Cannot comment on food or atmosphere but very poor service.

After numerous attempts to speak to a member of staff over the phone. Finally answered, tried to briefly explain my notes I added on my order hadn’t saved & type of meat I’d like with my dish didn’t save either. The member of staff wouldn’t let me speak started to shout very loud towards me. Wouldn’t listen to me. Very got the impression because I was a woman too. My mother was on loud speaker with the call she can vouch for this. Always loved this restaurant. But to think it’s acceptable to speak to anyone like this is disgusting. We obviously requested him to cancel our order, which he reluctantly wanted to assist with. We had to end up hanging up the call as he wouldn’t stop shouting. I am very upset, if I was to go into restaurant I wonder how he’d talk to my face. Shame

I ordered a chicken tikka masala and for some reason they'd changed it and sent a mushroom masala instead also the garlic nans tastes plain and really dry hardly any garlic on them quite disappointed as used to love this place but twice now I have been disapointed

I have not had an Indian takeaway for a while so went for tried and trusted Alachi. I am glad I did, it was fantastic. I played jeopardy a little and went for the ‘Handi of the Day’. I would love to know what this is as it was spectacular. Thank you.

Tuvimos una comida encantadora aquí. No te apuran así que tuvimos mucho tiempo para charlar. No hay ningún cargo por tomar su propio alcohol (athey no venden alcohol). El personal era excelente y tenía buen sentido del humor. Definitivamente volveré.

one of the curry had no taste to it witch should of been a spicy curry and plus the potatoes was no taste to them at all.

I ordered a takeaway on monday 27th may and was meant to come between 8.05 and 8.25 it is now 8.55 and no sign of the take away. On the site it said enjoy your food at 8.25. If thats the case why is it i am still waiting til 8.55 and they dont even let you know by text if there us an issue with the meal. I got recommended of this take away and i will not be ordering from them again.

We went here mid week over the tea time. We were greeted by a lovely man who could not do enough for us. He was very polite, helpful and accommodating. The food was lovely and generous potions. We were given a few complimentary items to try for no extra charge; which was a nice touch. I would recommend this place as we had a very nice night and a lovely meal; we will be going back.

Lovely food! we had the special which is valid on Mondays and Tuesdays which was £14.95. You could have Poppadoms, starter, main with rice or naan and a coffee or ice cream and we even had chocolates when the bill came and we'll definitely be back as BYO too made it great value.

Probably, quite probably, the worst Indian meal I've ever eaten. The English guy serving us appeared very drunk, not the best start. Was delighted to see Xacuti on the menu so asked for a chicken xacuti. My it was awful, absolutely awful. I left it.

Food was amazing! I went out on a limb and ordered the chicken makhani from the chef recommendation and it was the best decision I made! Tasted incredible! 100% ordering that again :)

The food was good, but the order took an extremely long time. We rang to see where it was, and the restaurant informed us it had been ready, but there was no driver to bring it. So our food was sitting out waiting, and it was not hot on arrival due to this. A restaurant called to try to change the price of our order due to some error on their end with the menu.

Got the takeaway meal for one, opened up my curry to the smallest bits of chicken I’ve ever seen from a restaurant. I even drew the cash out to help them and paid extra for a naan and this is how I am repaid. Rang the restaurant to asked what is going on, to be told they had put 8 piece of chicken in, yes they had, but that equates to 4 pieces as this was cut in half. Been using them for years and won’t be going back.. shame on you

Ordered food at 18:30 food still not delivered & it’s 21:23. Called the restaurant twice - at 20:36 they said it was just leaving & at 21:18 they said we’ll send it right now. I don’t believe they even made the food. Cancelled the order & asked for a refund via Just Eat. Absolutely fuming after waiting 3 hours for food.

Order was late - called restaurant several times and after finally getting through they hung up on us. Called several more times and when they answered without hanging up we were told the food was ‘here’ and would be delivered imminently and an hour later still no delivery. Still waiting… Thoroughly disgusted, will never use again. 0/10.

Absolutely appalling, placed an order for delivery took 3 hours to arrive, I kept calling the restaurant and the phone kept cutting off as it wasn’t in use, then after 10 times of calling they finally answered the phone. When the food arrived it was bland and my order wasn’t right. Don’t waste your money ordering here.

Walk in and was seated at the table with stand up heaters next to us as it was freezing in side!! We was the only table in there and it took 15mins before we was even asked about drinks…..then had to wait another 20 mins before we got our drinks then 45mins later we decided to leave because there was no staff in the restaurant, there was about 7 people stood in the kitchen talking and eating! AVOID THIS PLACE!!

The food is excellent and you get decent portions although the service really needs to get so much better the restaurant was very busy every table taken and they were still sending takeaway orders out for deliveroo they are either a restaurant or a takeaway especially on a busy weekend.We were waiting for over 1:5 hours for our starters. One other complaint I have is I went in a week earlier to book a table of 11 and paid £50 deposit,when leaving the restaurant they were adamant that they had been short changed to the sum of £47,I told them on a number of occasions that I had paid a deposit and then the penny finally dropped and they understood what I had done then just said thank you without a apology for that alone I won't go back.

Wrong order arrived. Rang them and they said my order was correct. I ordered set meal B they sent set A. The man argued that they sent the right order. Got no where so ended up putting the phone down. What a waste of food and money as I didnt eat much because I dont like the food in the meal they sent.
