Artusi in Southwark

We booked Artusi for a birthday celebration for 14 of us and the staff were absolutely amazing, quick to respond to my queries before the booking and on the night our server was so friendly, attentive and amazing with all of our dietary requirements and requests. The food was absolutely amazing, cooked so well and so tasty - would definitely come here again!

Absolutely wonderful. The only thing that’s going to dent the experience is its inevitable popularity once foodies cotton on to the fact the small menu is delectable. This understated establishment uses locally sourced seasonal ingredients and makes just the best fresh pasta in town

Had a lovely lunch here today. Couldn't fault the food, service or ambience. Everything was homemade (pasta, ricotta, etc)

Fabulous, tasty rustic Italian food. Lovely atmosphere, although quite noisy when full. It's a popular restaurant, quite understandably! So close to other tables we got chatting to our neighbours who all agreed what a lovely place it was. Menu is very short so choice is limited, but that didn't worry us.

Had another fantastic meal at Artusi. Great, flavoursome food; a good and well priced wine list and friendly, knowledgeable service. Artusi has never been anything less than excellent.

Food was very tasty, and very reasonably priced, it was a set menu on the day we went so it was extremely limited choice. But well worth what I payed for the quality of the food.

Firstly, lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. Secondly, £29 for a 3 course in these times is unheard of, incredible value. Thirdly, the food was delicious. Hearty, wholesome and seasoned well.

I’ve been going to Artusi since they opened, and since I’ve moved away from the UK I make sure I go there every time I’m back. Best restaurant in London

Really lovely, neighbourhood vibe, well-balanced dishes, seasonal menu, nothing too fancy but really tasty and interesting, and they accommodated every single dish without dairy for my girlfriend. Couldn’t ask for more, loved it.

Been meaning to visit this place for a while and finally made it there last night. Lovely simple decor and friendly staff. The menu is small and changes frequently. Everything was delicious (the leeks in particular), we will definitely be visiting again.

An excellent fixed price Sunday lunch (£29 a head) that even catered for vegetarian & gluten free diners.All the dishes we had were great, such interesting flavours & the staff v attentive but not intrusive. We look forward to coming again soon.

Rather disappointed especially given the good I've seen. Visited for the Sunday set menu. The starters were ok. The main dish was disappointing, with watery sauce and little flavour. The dessert was good, but the caramel was too dark and very bitter, not in a nice way. Bit sad as I expected this place to be better. The place got busy so plan your visit and book ahead.

A really lovey small restaurant with a short, but delicious menu. There is an interesting selection of cocktails to start and snacks if you like. The menu had a vegetarian, fish and meat choice for starters, pasta and main courses with a couple of desserts. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced, a real treat for the tastebuds.

Booked the chef’s table for 15 of us for a Sunday birthday lunch. Great communication with the team before hand - really helpful , lovely service and tasty food in a convivial atmosphere . Would highly recommend !

Had the early bird meal. Was very impressed with the value and food quality, it included a main, drink, desert and it was absolutely perfect for a nice early dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place had a nice atmosphere with good lighting. Will be going back to try the full menu!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed another amazing dining experience at Artusi on Saturday night. A cosy yet buzzy environment. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly, the food is delicious - the menu changes regularly - serving simple seasonal Mediterranean dishes packed with flavour. I had the pasta with Cavolo Nero to start followed by the fresh Mullet. A great wine list to complement the cooking. In would highly recommend a visit. Book in advance as they get busy!

I’ve been wanting to try Artusi for 2 years since I moved to the area and today I finally stepped inside for their Sunday 3 course set menu for £29. Every single dish was full of flavour, the staff were attentive and there was a really nice ambiance, I’ll be back.

I think I’ve just found my new go-to spot! I was driving to a bakery nearby when we stumbled across this gem of a restaurant. It was a Sunday, and we booked a table right away for later that day. The food was incredible—super fresh and bursting with flavour and the service was spot on. Honestly, what more could you ask for? Thanks for making our Sunday evening so lovely!

A consistently great local restaurant!

Don't know where to begin with this excellent spot. The menu changes every 2 weeks. It's an extremely short menu which I absolutely adore. They have a great menu of really delicious aperitif cocktails & a great wine selection. The icing on the cake was we could get any of the dishes gluten free, including the pasta. Service was great too. Literally 0 complaints, can't wait to go back.

Really good restaurant with excellent food and service.

Every now and then I come across a dish that surprises and truly delights, here it’s the pickled sardine starter. The ragu was also so very good, we noticed the starter size has a different pasta to the main, perhaps they ran out but whatever the case the starter was delicious. The mains were nice too but we thought the starters were more stand out. One thing that could be improved is to serve cocktails in nicer glassware, served in a small water glass filled to the brim is not the same experience. Looking forward to next time.

Artusi is consistently great, the service is personal and generous, the food is beautifully prepared and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. I had my birthday lunch downstairs next to the kitchen with 13 friends which was a lot for the space but it never felt too cramped, it was perfect! Everyone loved the food! Great well designed summer menu, very well executed. There’s a very small choice of dishes but given the small numbers of covers, that means quality is at the forefront. A small but interesting wine list. An excellent neighbourhood restaurant with a much wider reputation.

We had a fabulous meal at Artusi last night. There was a large group of us and the staff looked after us so well! I have eaten at Artusi many times in the past and the big family style table at the back of the restaurant is our favourite place for a big group (up to about 12 people I think). Last night the food was even more delicious than normal and we had a fabulous time. I can’t recommend Artusi highly enough!

This is my favourite restaurant locally. The food is always perfection - I'm never disappointed. Plus it's fantastic value which you can't often say about a London restaurant. I've had birthdays, baby showers and mid-week treat lunches (there's an excellent pasta + glass of wine deal!) here and I hope I'll be returning for years to come.

Adding an update to my previous review - the best team, food and atmosphere. Recommend the chef’s table for groups of 8+. I’ve been for lunch and dinner and both are well worth the visit! Great for groups with amazing platters of food. Staff were friendly and good atmosphere.

We had a delicious, joyous lunch at Artusi after getting married at Southwark Register Office up the road. The restaurant accommodated our large party and a number of tricky food allergies with ease. The staff was incredibly accommodating and made the celebration so special. Artusi is one of our favorite local neighborhood restaurants but I can’t overstate just how world class the food is. Folks visiting from NYC and the far reaches of East London were blown away by the set menu — watermelon and ricotta, pickeled mackerel, homemade crab butter pasta, pork and salsa verde and olive oil cake with fresh peaches. It was all divine!

Went for the 'early bird' special and it was well worth it: a large pasta dish, dessert, and glass of house white/red for 20 GBP cannot be beaten for value! Everything tasted great and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend this spot.

Our dinner last night was stunning. The menu was short and clever, and all so delicious. We (three) loved getting our starters, and then later our mains, simultaneously. Harder to do, obviously - and done perfectly. Such a nice change from the “all our plates are designed for sharing“ line. Anyhow a wonderful evening, thank you.

Superb linguine and friendly service. Not so happy about the house red but had a lovely Portuguese after that.

We have been to this small Italian Reston Peckham several times and have always enjoyed the food and the ambience. The staff are very friendly too. Highly recommend.

Very good food. However adding a 20% tip without any notice is not on. Perhaps that info should be on the menu? Sliding it on the bill and smiling is not respectful to customers.

Great restaurant in increasingly popular Peckham. I would have given five stars all round but for a slight struggle with the menu due to various allergies I have. Artusi sensibly offers a limited choice of dishes so they can focus on providing very high quality fare rather than a laundry list of options. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening, and I would definitely recommend a visit!

Might have just been an off night but the food was anything from average (skate terrine) to misjudged (too thick, undercooked pasta on the rabbit tortellini) to just plain bad (dry as plywood beef shin on congealed polenta). Service was fine minus the fact it took 45 mins from finishing the meal to actually paying the bill. My experience unfortunately didn't live up to the rave reviews & I wouldn't personally recommend going

Highly rated and coveted chic restaurant nestled in Peckham and it's easy to see why! Artusi's chefs have mastered the art of refinement. Grand scales of richness, umami and texture, while condensing and balancing into playful dishes. The front of house staff are truly brilliant; attentive, polite, friendly and relaxed. Couldn't ask for anything more. I had the braised beef short rib with polenta and a wild garlic and herb sauce. Deep flavours that last forever, very creamy and soft polenta contrasts with the rich and intense tasting short rib texture. The tiramisu is probably the best in England and I had the biancomangiare (cold almond milk jelly with 🍓 jam, sounds weird but used to eat this in Italy as a kid). The wine list is perfectly curated, great depth of character, and the cocktails are good too. Artusi is very good value, set menu with 3 courses (+bottle of wine and glass of prosecco) came to £138 total, for a table of 3 people. Book ahead and you won't be disappointed.

Really good Sunday lunch (excellent value, too, particularly if you don’t drink too much) The terrine, ricotta, pasta and chestnut cake were all outstanding, which shows that making each dish worthy of savouring is a good way to make a short set menu really sing,
