Beamish Park Hotel in Gateshead

Went for Christmas Lunch with the family. Food was ok but service abysmal. Expensive package which was not worth it. Needs improvement.

I want to write a review about the exceptional service I experienced at my friend’s wedding this week. I want to particularly mention how fantastic Paul and his team are when it comes to the coordination of the day. Paul and Joanne did an amazing job of keeping us all to schedule and the whole day was so relaxed and went like clockwork. The staff are friendly, helpful and always greet you with a smile. Thanks to Kieran for introducing all of our speeches and Chris too for his service with a smile. Think it was Tracey helping us at reception with rooms etc too so thanks. Let’s hope I’ve remembered those names correctly. I would recommend this venue for weddings and events. DJ Julian was fantastic at getting everyone up on the floor having fun! Hotel clean and tidy always. Comfy beds too and food was immense!! Thanks to all (including those not named) for making my best friends dream day come true xx Rachel

Family wedding, perfect location

What a lovely hotel. Stayed here on our way through to Scotland. We had our dog Herbert with us and they are super dog friendly! Room was perfect, they even put in a dog bed, dog bowl and and pack of treats such a lovely touch. Also you can park your car literally outside the room so you can pop out the sliding door when they need the loo! We had a Sunday roast which was delicious and really big portions. Herbert was allowed in the garden room for our tea and also in the lounge area for breakfast. Every single member of staff we spoke to were so lovely and friendly. If we ever pass through the area again we would definitely stay here. Can’t recommend it enough. Thanks so much!

My husband and I had Sunday dinner here yesterday 081224 with our four friends. The entire experience was superb. Very friendly staff. Our waitress explained what vegetables would be served with our roasts. Piping hot food on warm plates. Gorgeous tender roast beef, and wonderful cauliflower cheese. A big "tick" from us, thank you.

Sunday lunch. Menu excellent choices and food good and generous portions. Service was excellent.

Friendly welcome. Delicious evening meal and looked after by Lexa and Claire, who are a credit to the hotel staff. The bed was very comfortable 😀 , but the loo seat kept falling down when hubby went for a wee so needs attention. We will definitely stay again 🙂

great little 9 hole course if you are just starting to play golf.

Myself and rachel would like to say a big thank you to Joanne, paul and the rest of the team here at beamish park hotel for making our wedding day possible. What a place to think we never knew the place existed till we found you on Google maps. Will be returning for future events. DJ was first class kept the music going for straight hours

Greeted by the friendly receptionist, easy check in and quickly into our room. Comfortable and tidy room with a nice large bed. Breakfast was tasty and well presented. All the staff we meet were very friendly.

Nice hotel, rooms are spacious and the food is really good. Staff are very friendly. Had an unusual issue with the night porter on the first night. We arrived at 11pm. He, for some reason decided to start knocking on people’s doors. Eventually the police arrived to stop him. But was very annoying to hand over statements at 11pm. However the rest of the week was fine.

Amazing place to stay - receptionist very welcoming and helpful with any requests or questions. Restaurant and bar staff lovely to be served by, honestly I recommend this place 100%. Originally stayed here for my partners 65th birthday so it needed to special, the rooms are so nice and clean, smells so clean too. The beamish museum 5 minute drive from hotel. Loved the wood burner in the conservatory whilst eating food and looking at the views outside - can see for miles. Congratulations to the owner for having such an amazing place and staff. Lemon tart was out of this world WOW !

Great place to stay for a visit to Beamish living museum especially if you have a dog. The dogs can be in a certain part of the dinning area with you. The meals are well worth the waiting for.

Great hotel, great service and nice scones too!!
