Bella Italia Shaftesbury Avenue in City of London, Westminster

I went with my daughter for her birthday before our theatre booking..we are both gluten free.not by choice but for over 20 years. we ordered what we could..this is the first restaurant we have been to when a risotto is not gluten free..we placed our order..my chicken pasta meal came cold & under cooked which I asked to be reheated...still wasn't acceptable & my daughter had to order 3side dishes as the salad she ordered off the gluten free menu was apparently not gluten free..we were also charged £4.79 for a tiny dish of gluten free coleslaw..£8.29 for a so called brushetta which was just a plate of tomatoes & a plain gluten free flatbread..definitely not a brushetta. On top of all that we were charged £8.73 service charge...without being told that would be added to my bill...I tip as I see fit & although the service was good the food was definitely not acceptable for the price...sorry but wouldn't recommend..

On est rentré dans le resto à 19h il y avait encore qq places libres ! La responsable de salle très agacée par le monde nous fait attendre mais semble complètement dépassée par la situation ! Elle nous hurle dessus pour qu on n avance pas sauf que les gens auraient aimé pouvoir se déplacer pour aller aux WC … bref très mal accueilli on décide de quitter rapidement ! Les serveurs semblaient sympa mais celle qui gérait la salle était plus que non pro dommage pour cette enseigne!

Zoltan, nuestro camarero, era muy acogedor y proporcionó un gran servicio para mí y mi familia. Él era muy amable y se fijó en nosotros durante toda la noche, que fue muy apreciado.

We were very disappointed with our visit. A new waiter took our order. My son specified he wanted an alcohol free beer. When we had finished our meal my son said he felt odd. When checking the bill they had given him alcohol, this was absolutely disgusting and we complained as he had to drive home to Bristol and had been served 2 alcoholic beers instead of alcohol free. My other son spoke to the waiter concerned and then to the manager. Even though the waiter apologised this was not good enough and the damage was done. My son has to wait several hours before he could drive home. Also we found it disappointing there was no disabled toilets and the main toilets were down a steep flight of steps. My Mother in law struggled as she has hip issues.

Victoria made us feel welcome and and have us a great service.

Absolutely lovely place, with lovely food and atmosphere. The staff, especially Victoria are so nice and welcoming, I'd definitely come back!

Would like to say a big thank you and well done to Victoria. She was left alone in a busy restaurant due to illness of other staff. She worked like an absolute trooper. All our food was delicious and hot. Victoria is a credit to your company and should be rewarded for her endurance at what must've have been quite and overwhelming night!

Went the extra mile, in and out on a busy night in 35 minutes for a theatre visit. Awesome!

I went to this place, just to eat Italian dishes. Of course I ordered a pizza, which despite having waited more than 30 minutes, arrived something that looked like everything but a pizza. It was very flat, crispy, hard and looked like one of those frozen pizzas, practically an insult to the Italian cuisine. One tip, instead of writing Italian cuisine, write cuisine that would like to copy the Italian one, since there was only background music.

Victoria was our server during our visit. She was lovely and we had a great dinner :)

This chain restaurant is ideally situated on a street near Soho, directly facing Chinatown, which makes it a highly convenient spot. The food quality is impressive, and their pizza stands out with a delightful twist—topped with baked pasta, creating a unique and flavorful experience. However, I found the drinks and desserts to be rather average. I look forward to returning to explore other offerings on their menu.

Spicy sausage was actually spicy and had AMAZING flavor. Pizza was amazing as well. They really know how to pour flavor into their food. Added this to my favs on Google maps whenever I come back to London from the States

If your a celiac or hate gluten this is the place to be !!! Eating here has made me feel so safe , they take good care of you and they have a separate oven for the pizza as well as gluten free starters and pastas!! Special thanks to Grzegorz !! For the incredible service

zoltan was my server, he constanly asked if everything was okay. Made sure our food was up to our standards and made my evening 10/10. Best service yet.

The place we went to for dinner was a nice calzone pizza with burgers and vegetables in a closed half-moon shaped flatbread or flatbread style. I can recommend it for vegetarians or those who do not want to eat pork, because their chicken pizza had bacon. Since the BBQ chicken pizza we ordered had pork, we had to pay for it before eating it. Why add pork to a chicken product? Vegetarian pizza is also nice, the beer is an ordinary 660cc beer.

We went to dinner tonight because the menu had gluten-free options. We got a table without a reservation and it was a stroke of luck. The food was good and the waiter understood perfectly how important is my gluten free diet.

I really enjoyed this restaurant it has a wide range of food options that cater to all tastes. Every dish in Bella Italia was made with love. The costumer service was very good and the people here are extremely kind.

This our second annual visit to Bella Italia with our international school! And we will be coming back every time we visit London! The food is delicious, plates are almost licked clean by our students. Staff are superd and friendly, what more could you ask for! 5 stars!!

The menu is limited. Taste is above average. Portion sizes are less than average. The location is central.

It was a little busy so was a little difficult to get attention from the corner. The voucher I had didn't work but they half sorted it.

Wonderful service from Alexandra and Victoria

My partner and I visited here on 27th October and both the food and service were excellent. Alexandra hosted us and she was excellent from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The cookie dough is easily one of the best tasting cookie doughs I have ever had, we regularly visit desert shops and this tops all of them. Thank you. Will definitely be visiting again

Worst meal ever!!! The sea bass was like a slip of leather with undercooked potatoes and the chicken on the Caesar Salad was dry and tough as old boots. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. We won't be back!!!!

We went to dinner with low expectations and the truth? Both Alexandra and the food were incredibly fantastic. He made our dinner a beautiful evening, without a doubt we will be here for a short time but we would love to repeat. The service was 10, the food was splendid, I highly recommend the garlic bread with onion, it pleasantly surprised us. It is a pleasure to go to a place and be greeted with a smile, and be attentive to you even when there is some commotion. Very cozy place. We loved it. We will be back soon for sure!!

The pizza is fine, several choices. I tested vegetarian’s pizza and enjoyed it. The bread is light and well cooked, vegetables are fresh. Prices are reasonable for London center.

It was Bella Italia. Food is what it is but the service definitely wasn't with a smile! It was noisy and very cramped, definitely not the best Bella Italia we have been too!!

We hopped out of an Uber right in front of this restaurant. The menu was appealing, the ambiance charming, and the prices were very reasonable. The service was fast and friendly, but the highlight was the food—it was truly outstanding. We ordered pizza, pasta, and risotto, and each dish was fantastic. During my stay in London, we dined at far more expensive restaurants, but I can honestly say that this evening was my favorite of the past few days. One more thing that stood out: we saw the staff (I believe it was the owner) give food to a homeless girl, who hadn’t asked for anything or bothered anyone. It was a small moment that made the world feel right to me. In summary: excellent food, fair prices, and people with heart. It doesn’t get better than that, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you!

Victoria was the perfect host, finding us a quiet seat to celebrate my husband’s 61st. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the perfect end was a little birthday cake, with a candle and a ‘happy birthday’ song. It’s been the perfect end to our day - Thank you

We received exceptional service from our waitress Wiktoria at Bella Italia in London today. She was very professional yet welcoming and considerate. She was able to get us a table with space for our baby's pram and even asked if we wanted the music to be lower once she recognised our baby was sleeping. She also checked in to ensure we enjoyed our meals. We would recommend this restaurant and also Wiktoria as a waitress. Thanks so much for the excellent service!
