I told the lady before the bar I’m exempt from wearing a mask, and they said they owner Paul won’t be very happy. The owner came over to me and my group of friends and said “so who apparently is exempt?” And I said “me why?” He said to me really rudely “why though. What’s the reason you can’t wear the mask? You know it’s the law now!” I responded with “I understand it’s the law but I’m exempt and don’t feel comfortable telling you why I’m not wearing a mask” “okay so you need to tell me why, have proof you can’t wear one or I’ll refuse you service, sorry but it’s the law” he said. I actually don’t carry a mask or anything to say that I’m exempt cause the LAW says I don’t have too. They shouldn’t be pushing me to say why I’m exempt. If authorities came in and asked me I would obviously have yo explain to them more in depth of why I was not wearing one. But he also accused me of lying and anyone could say they were. Definitely not the place to go and to avoid more than COVID itself Also added pictures of the law so he can stick to all the rules and not the ones he picks and chooses

Accommodated last minute today after being looser down by a local carvery. Staff very friendly and happy to let us attend to eat despite food service officially being finish. Excellent choice of meats. Great potions sizes and all nice and fresh and hot. Great quality meats. By far the best pub Sunday lunch in the area.

Postcode for pub is WS9 9JB Very spacious roomy pub inside. Front & rear car parks. One hand pump. No pump clip. Only 6 diff types of bottle real ales served. Food served 12 – 4pm each day. Good decent size roast dinners were coming out in front of me, pity my dinner was cooking slowly whilst I was here, maybe a next day to try it when I am feeling lazy too cook. Games machine, juke box & a few TV’s dotted about showing the football. A pleasant visit. Will come back again.
