Lovely market! Great atmosphere, a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and shops to pick from. A good spot to meet up with friends and family plus very aesthetic.

Beautiful place, lots of small artisan and non-artisan shops, full of colorful DJs, many places to eat and taste specialties from various nations, I personally ate in a very small Ethiopian tavern, initially I was very sceptical, but I changed my mind when faced with the goodness and so much kindness of the lady owner. I recommend visiting the entire BRIXTON neighborhood

We arrived a little late around 11 p.m. on a weekday, there were only a few restaurants still open, too bad I think the market must be very nice when it's busy. We will come back. The alleys are very pretty, we walked around all the same, graffiti and facades always very atypical and interesting to observe.

Home town...born and bred Brixtonion! So I'm bias! It's beautiful, albeit gentrified now.

I like going to Brixton because you can get all the different cultures food to buy and the market place there are different places you can sit and eat which is quite nice. Yeah love it very much

Love this place! So much choice and a real buzz to the area. Some restaurants and bars are pricey and it's a bit of a hipster place.

Brixton market is my.Saturday shopping one of the main attractions ofy weekend where i get my.meat fish and veg and all my Caribbean food to keep me happy and not get home sick 😂

If you're in Brixton, you have to go. It smells delicious, there are shops that have been preserved here since the 90s. There are places for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can find cocktails, beer and nice wines. You can even ask for oysters to be opened and eaten right at the counter. reference!

Went early, basically every business setting up and was nice to see a Sunday morning buzzing with life as it was my first time in the area

Excellent food....HORRIBLE SERVICE. THREE TIMES OUT OF FIVE..DISGUSTING SERVICE...Last night at 7:17pm, I arrived and Ordered a whole chicken for takeaway with a waiter. The waiter told me seatdown and in 5 minutes will be ready. At 7:45 I went to the counter to ask why my order was not ready after 28 minutes...I called the waiter who took my order, and the waiter confronted the chef, and the chef said he forgot to cook my whole chicken order...and is the Third time in a year...I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT NEVER TO ANYONE....DISGUSTING SERVICE..

This place amazes me. Complete variety of every global cuisine imaginable. I remember not all that long ago all you could get in here was smack or your wallet stolen.

Alternative area with a Caribbean atmosphere in London. 20 minutes from central London. You have to see it.

Superb place. The best array of restaurants, cooking, textures and smells! And it was soooo friendly and safe too. Quite amazing… and wonderful.

25/10/24: Hemel Hempstead and Brixton Weekend! Had such a fantastic time here at Brixton Market. So many culinary cuisines from all around the world. The market full of colourful characters too. A fantastic place for people watching, while drinking and eating!

The mushroom and onion sauce is delicious and very suitable for that dish, but the meat is very tough and limited.

Loved the custom fragrance store. Literally make any scent right in front of you.

Gone down hill nothing for the youngsters no lbqt etc nothing going on here just bars and restaurants the stores are basic west end is a better choice for what your seeking 😒 sad situation

Fantastic market with a wide range of foods from across the world

It's not easy to make Thai food vegan. The ingredients are really fresh, the taste is strong but not too spicy, children can eat it, adults can eat it, and people who don't eat very spicy can eat it.

I think the best part of this place are the local shop owners who all are super friendly people and generally have a great side story about their lives in Brixton. Many of them seem to have been living in Brixton since being a youngster. And the food places are quite good too.

A not very big food hall. There are several covered lanes bordered by a multitude of small restaurants with various specialties, but also bars or other shops. At 150m you find a similar place, Pop Brixton.

Lovely place with different options for food. This area is known for its diversity and specially its Jamaican influence. Don’t hesitate to try it out. During the day there are plenty of fruit and veg and fish shops with great selections

For those who like "root" markets, a great experience. It has everything. The surrounding streets are vibrant and full of popular commerce.

Kind of a cool vibe, but having to pay for the toilet really takes the piss. Like I'm spending £40 quid at the place and you expect me to pay 50p every time I go for a piss. Absolutely wrong.

Loved visiting Brixton Village. A great place to visit for Food and shopping. Love the community feel. Brixton Street Wear is a must go place to grab something to represent Brixton.

Hidden gem just off the main road. A wealth of vibrant shops restaurants and bars, populated by a beautiful mix of people. Went to the pergola, a roof top bar drinks were reasonably priced, atmosphere was good and the bar, wait and security staff were really friendly and helpful.

Had never been to Briston Market before & was bowled over by the experience. The noise, smells, abundance of fresh food,fish & meat. I closed my eyes and was transported baci to Africa. Will be going back sion

Dogs are allowed, which is absolutely fantastic. There is good variety of businesses to choose fruit and vegetables. I focused on getting plantain and papaya, so I cannot comment on other products. I tried Colombian food and was not impressed. I preferred the morning time as it is less crowded and easier to walk around. It is unfortunate that some food businesses open from 12:30 instead of 12:00.

Meh. Insignificant place, a market equal to the 7-8 in the city. Street food of poor quality and without originality. It adds nothing to what has already been seen.

Great atmosphere, a lot of interesting eating places and able to pick up fruit and vegetables you can't get anywhere else. Well worth the visit. Loved 'The Black Farmer ' shop too.

I've enjoyed the market for over thirty years. Although it's now full of really good eateries there's still enough of what made it what it is to keep it interesting. Long may it continue!

I absolutely LOVE how multicultural this indoor market is - you've got Italian, Japanese, Colombian, Caribbean and so much more!! There's a huge range of homeware and grocery stores! And the decorations are pretty cool.
