Busaba Eathai in City of London, Westminster

When I asked to use the student discount, the cashier printed the bill at the same time. After printing the bill, he explained that I couldn’t use the student discount because he already printed the bill. “You need to tell me you want to use the student discount before I print the bill. Now that the bill has already been printed, you can’t use it.” He didn’t even ask me for that before he printed the bill and I already say I want use the student discount and he can print another bill with student discount but he didn’t do this! I found this excuse completely absurd and far-fetched! Regarding service: After my friend and I queued up and sat down at a table ready to order, the server came over and suddenly asked us to change seats, directing us to sit in a dark corner instead. I figured it wasn’t a big deal since we were just eating a meal, so we moved. Then after we ordered, I realised we weren’t given any water at all. At nearly every restaurant I’ve been to, servers either ask if you need water when you order or bring it automatically. However, at this place, not only did they fail to offer water, but the people sitting at the same table (it was a shared table with several people sitting around it) were foreigners, and they had water. Even after repeatedly asking the server for warm water, they still brought us a pot of boiling hot water instead—truly baffling service! As for the food: The portion sizes were ridiculously small.

Met with a good friend to have dinner here. We hadn’t booked a table so had to wait but this wasn’t long at all and before we knew it we were seated inside. The team are very friendly, helpful with menu queries and attentive to customers. A good selection of drink both nonalcoholic and alcoholic so we enjoyed a selection of each. My friend had a prawn dish which tasted as good as it looked. And I went for the tamarind duck. The duck was soft and almost melted in your mouth. The food overall was very flavourful and the portions were quite decent too. The restaurant had a lovely vibe and atmosphere and I will be going back again!

My experience in London with busaba was perfect! Great food, excellent quality! Waiters highly trained for every need, I thank the manager Luis really excellent! Very clean place!

The pad thai is really good. The food here is great. Not the best at taking things out of dishes due to restrictions but the food is great.

When the place is full they struggle to fulfil orders within an hour. It is perhaps not the place to eat during your lunch hour.

Bella served us, and she was an ABSOLUTE angel! She was professional, passionate, sweet and considerate, the most amazing waitress we have ever met for along time!! I really wished her all the best in her life and that there could be more people like Bella in the industry! Food was a bless

The calamari here is so good it should be criminal. I don’t really like squid but this is just so sweet and slightly savoury it’s great. Rest of the menu is okay but that squid tho!

The food was delicious and the service was quite good. I was surprised to order bottled still water and receive filtered still water. I think this is terrible and I only realised after I drank the water. I make a choice not to drink tap water and if I do wish to drink filtered tap water I can do so at home for free and do not agree with having to pay for that. Customers should be made more aware that the bottled water isn't mineral or spring.

Great food, always is. Sat waiting for someone to bring the bill or dessert menu for over 30mins - when someone finally approached we said we were ready to order and he walked off to the next table. Had to go get someone to bring the bill.

Disgusting, this is Thai white mans style from 1995. Oily, no flavour, limp vegetables floating in packet curry sauces. Have a cup a soup rather than eating here.

Really disappointing experience at BUSABA yesterday. This was the first visit to this branch but have been going to the Wardour Street branch for 20 years. First up the restaurant itself is fine, not as classy looking as Wardour but fine. Staff were great. The real let down was the food - the green chicken curry had three bits of chicken in it and was the blandest Thai green curry I have ever tasted. It was pea green in colour, gloopy and withminimal flavour or spice. At £16 not including rice it was a very disappointing dish. It may have been a one off but I won’t be going back to this branch to find out. Staff did check on food but I didn’t want to affect the rest of the meal by making an issue, especially as I wasn’t sure if it was a problem with the dish or a new recipe. Bill was £88 for two people!

Very busy place but the vibe is quite warm and fun🤣 Curry chicken was flavourful but too little chicken… Beef jasmine rice was bigger in portion and you might need soya sauce and chilli sauce for extra flavour🥹 Dessert (fried banana rolls) were quite lovely

We were in London on a brief holiday. We ate there 3 times, ‘nuff said. Food was excellent. Perfectly seasoned.

I haven’t been there for a while, but was happy to see that the food hasn’t changed and is still fantastic. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. We had chicken and sweet potato fries for starters and it was amazing! Tender and juicy, absolutely yummy. Green curry was deliciously creamy and beef with ginger also has not disappointed.

My sweet and sour chicken dish was made with pre-cooked chicken nuggets, I don't understand how this is possible, it's a shame after so many years as a customer I think it will no longer be one of my options.

Lovely dinner this evening and excellent service from Thejus. The host greeted us warmly and offered us a table even though it was busy. The food was absolutely delicious!

Big busaba in soho, we didn't book on a Thursday night and had to wait outside for a while till some seats got available. Most tables are sharing ones with usually 10 seats, chairs are actually stools. The service was quick and the food pretty good. Toilets are on the lower ground floor with stairs.

La red eléctrica no era mejor. . . almohadilla tailandesa era viscosa y sabía a wok sucio / aceite . . pato si hubiera estado en un congelador durante meses de sabor . . sentado en bancos incómodos que han visto mejores días . . inodoros mezclándose . .

Calamari was cold, rice was cold, mouldy corn in soup and edamame have seen already sell by date. What a shame how this place has declined over the years. It used to be my favourite place in London. Service also terrible.

Busaba thai is always a good choice

Tuvimos una gran cena aquí en nuestra primera visita, así que decidimos volver dos días después, pero la segunda experiencia se quedó lejos de las expectativas. Pedimos casi la misma comida y bebidas, pero la calidad era notablemente peor. A pesar de tener una reserva, estábamos sentados en una mesa vacía cerca de la puerta principal, que era incómodamente frío. Mientras tanto, un grupo de cuatro sin reservas se sentó en una mesa mucho mejor. Cuando solicitamos mudarnos, el personal nos acomodó a regañadientes, lo que estableció un tono desagradable para la noche. La disposición de los asientos comunales, con grandes mesas compartidas entre los diferentes partidos, no nos molestó. Sin embargo, el servicio esta vez fue decepcionante. Todos nuestros alimentos —tanto aperitivos como entradas— llegaron al mismo tiempo. Cuando terminamos los aperitivos, nuestras entradas estaban frías. Esto fue un fuerte contraste con nuestra primera visita, donde la comida era bien - ritmo y agradable. La inconsistencia entre las dos visitas fue decepcionante, y no volvería basándome en esta experiencia.

Tom yum soup is authentic, like in thai. You can’t feel the difference. Roti even better, amazing we asked for one more it was too good. Mango sticky rice…. I’m sorry to say it’s not good, they put mango sauce on it, bad. Wine was good. We’ll be back

If you’re in Soho and craving incredible Thai food, Busaba is an absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be back before my time in London comes to an end!

Habíamos reservado dos asientos en una mesa, pero nos pidieron que nos moviéramos después de 20 minutos para acomodar a otros. El servicio era muy lento, y tomó un tiempo para llamar la atención de un camarero. Mi marido pidió un entrante que nunca llegó. La comida que recibimos estaba bien. Había un inodoro que no funcionaba abajo, con el suelo mojado, y los contenedores estaban desbordados. Pedimos que se eliminara el cargo por servicio de nuestra factura. Buscaremos un restaurante alternativo antes del teatro, por desgracia. Una pena, ya que hemos disfrutado de Busaba en visitas anteriores.

We were passing by a Busaba on our way back to the hotel and decided to make a reservation to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. I will definitely return again.

Green Curry has space for improvement, portion could be more generous for the price paid, service by Mekan was good.
