Butlins Fish And Chips in West Somerset

The fish and fries were crispy. No queue and decent portions. Curry sauce was nice but gravy wasn't the best. It was watery and the server had to give it to us in a cup so it didn't "soak through the container." Kind of wish we picked a different sauce for our loaded fries which were otherwise pretty good.

I asked for a large cod and chips, It was horrible, my cod looked like an Asda smart price on a bad day, I could easily cover it with one hand, batter was soggy and although a decent sized portion of chips they were also terrible.... I left half my chips, if I wasn't hungry and this was my last chance to eat I wouldn't have eaten any...

Up there with some of the worst chips I've ever had. Ordered two chips, gravy and a much peas. Should be quite simple. Chips were under cooked and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil. Portions were on the small side. I'd advise venturing into Minehead if you can. No doubt a better fish and chips in the town.

The fish was solid.. Could hardly chew it! It was dry and hard looks like it was frozen and reheated.. It was disgusting 🤢 The chips in fryer long enough! I was really looking forward to eating my dinner with family. It was a really let down... I don't recommend the fish and chips from there... waste of money...😕☹️😮 tonight Monday 18/3 2024..

This may be the worst fish and chips I've ever had from a take away. I think I could make better at home and I can't even cook.

Over priced food is not great and the service is none existent they just want your money and that's it

We had haddock and chips and the kids had fishcake and chips and it all tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful and we're checking on our food will definitely be back

Better places to eat, long queue

Larger than expected portion sizes for the price. Always have been very hot and seemingly fresh when we’ve collected. Ordered on the app twice with a 50% success rate.

Worst fish and chips I’ve ever had for the privilege of the most expensive I’ve ever paid too (3 small meals cost over £26). Mini fish and chips were ‘cod bites’ and were like rubber and poorly cooked over chips. Terribly long wait despite no queue. Save your money and don’t bother.

Bad very bad rude staff rubbish food

The service here was really bad, similar to most of the other Butlin’s restaurants. We left before puddings had arrived as they were taking so long. The food was average that we did have

Got a takeaway and it was awful. We didn't touch it. The battered sausages were burnt and batter was chewy, chicken nuggets were so crispy it had no chicken were they had been cooked so much. The fish wasn't even edible. The portion size was so small. Not sure if a bad day but never again. Only thing that was decent was the curry sauce. I didn't get pictures but really wish i did to show what a rubbish takeaway.

Best place on the entire resort absolutely recommend it

I would give no stars if I could no worth even 2! Very poor customer service! Everyone seems like they don’t want to be working their and all customers are an inconvenience.

Friendly staff, tasty food, well presented space with a nice atmosphere. We ate here as part of the dine around package and would definitely go back.

Food was great, but the staff were absolutely rude, especially the person on the till called "Josh" who was so arrogant that I was almost about to leave.

Went there on my second night. (Tuesday 8th February) was fantastic got a large cod and large chips. Came back on my fourth and last night (Thursday 10th) ordered a regular chips as we had a meal prior to heading out so wasn’t too hungry portion came too small so we asked for a large instead the girl who served us seemed annoyed asked her manager and her manager ok’ed it paid the extra got back to the village and the silly little girl covered the chips in pure salt.

Don't normally go for fish and chip shops but I really enjoyed eating here and went a few times. A large chips could be shared with 4 people.

Jordan and Barry gave brilliant service. Made us feel welcome and was brilliant when interacting with my LG. Food was lovely, happy to help. 100% reccomend.

Portion sizes are massive! One welsh gentleman server was excellent, but we had one guy serve us that was about as dry as a chip that had been left out for a week and mumbled everything he said, didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Food was lovely though and the fish was suuuuper well cooked.

Portion sizes are ridiculous. A large is more like a small and normal size is like kids meal.

Lovely chip shop with fairly decent prices. The chips come doused with salt and vinegar but that's how I like them! The store has both a restaurant and a front entrance for takeaway.

Great fish and chips, there was a bit to much salt and vinegar on them but other than that nice. Very reasonable prices.

Probably the cheapest place to eat in Butlins as well as that it's actually quite nice allthough the sit down restaurant part has limited opening hours the takeaway section is open late and makes a great supper on your way home from centerstage ,reds or one of the other bars The queues can get quite long if you leave it till 11 if you have children in tow I'd recommend you get there by 10:30 and you will get served almost instantly if you leave it any later your likely to end up in a 15min queue
