Delicious cafe latte with oat milk. Recommended. And pretty inexpensive compared to other cafes in London.

We had lunch at the cafe w in Waterstones picadilly. Wonderful service. Our waitress could not have been more helpful. Offering recommendations and friendly. Will definitely come back

Café bastante vacío, 2 miembros del personal fueron realmente serviciales y amables. Buena relación calidad-precio, saqué un montón de té de la olla.

The coffee is good, the tea is good. Not enough choice of food in my opinion though for a place that serves a lot of people. Tea in proper tea pots and coffee in cups not paper . The choice of pastries could be wider and more covered over from the public coughing all over them That puts me off eating in there . The place surrounded by books one can browse whilst sipping coffee is endless . A lovely old fashioned place .

We come here as a family quite a lot as is convenient and nestled in the excellent Waterstones bookshop. The chance to browse a bunch of books and chat in this convivial environment is the main draw. However, I think Waterstones has confused quaint with dated... some fresh seating. more comfy chairs and improved menu would be great. Why not make this cafe stand out. It is a bit fusty. They really should also make an effort on the menu and improve the level of hygiene (toilet facility especially), keep tables cleared of debris (perhaps with the odd wipe) and employ more engaged staff. Not that hard really. If Cafe W was not in Waterstones, it would be an empty relic of the past. Of course it can get very crowded during peak hours. But that is the norm for a popular and busy area. I know... all sounds a bit 'mardi' from me. However, it would be so much appreciated if Cafe W were to lift its game a notch or two. Not an afterthought.

This cafe upstairs at Waterstones can be very overcrowded at weekends Service is not great seems to be the usual loud student on some sort of drug type which whigh Waterstones cafes always seem to employ They are more interested in retelling student tales in a loud voice then clearing tables or actually serving Seem to be always understaffed Cakes are old and stale Toasted sandwich can take forever to reach you and then it will probably be burnt This with the over zealous Hampstead parents going over and over school work with their loud grumpy kids doesn't make for a nice quiet read over a nice cuppa Avoid and go up the street find a tiny Lane way and find Tanias cafe which is actually trying to be a real authentic cafe with flair and flavour!!

There is something quite attractive about cafes in bookshops -- usually it means a place for a good beverage and a quiet browse. This place is apparently popular with local families too -- very nice feature except that if toddlers are noisy detract from the quietness (we were seated next to a particularly high-energy toddler). The wifi is not strong and the restroom (unisex and much used) needed a clean. Other than that this is a very welcomig cafe.

Criticise Starbucks all you like but serving a decent cup of coffee is the one thing that they do well - loads better than Costa amongst others. The only better one is Roasting Plant Coffee in the Strand but then that place is several rungs up the ladder

Nice pub/restaurent where the atmosphare is the best thing. Quite good food but the nice personal and the atmosphare is the best thing

My mum and I popped in late July. Had a lovely milky coffee (trad caff order!) and we shared a few fresh pastries. Staff were polite and helpful and gave us a bag to take home what pastries we couldn't finish.

I’m a regular here and usually like this location. The staff are mostly friendly and it has a cozy vibe. You can sit by the window and overlook Finchley Road. Unfortunately today I had a bad experience with Georgia who was training new baristas. I scanned my Nero app to pay and was shown on my app that the payment went through. Apparently it hadn’t gone through on the till so Georgia made me show her proof of payment on my app and on my credit card statement but then argued with me that the payment was shown as pending in my Amex app, which it always is as it takes a few days for the merchant to claim the transaction. When I said that I wasn’t willing to swipe my card again and be charged double she made a rather rude comment “the payment hasn’t gone through on our end, so you’ll just walk away with a free coffee” and insisted I swipe my app again. She did give me a receipt noting that if I was indeed charged twice they would give me a refund on my next visit, however I am rather disappointed by customer service. You would think that staff would care less about a potentially free £3.55 coffee than losing a regular customer. I will not be a regular anymore at this location.
