Capeitel in Ribble Valley

The salt and pepper spare ribs etc are excellent. As are the spring rolls. But other dishes lack salt and have no hint if soya sauce, nor any other of the Chinese sauces such as fish. Eatable and rice us fine. Chips and gravy A1 according to a mate!

Ordered a Chinese was very disappointed it was flavour less , the prawn crackers where not cooked properly and I could not bite through some of them as they where not cooked at all. We rung up after we received our meal and was told The food we wanted was not on the menu even thought there was a picture of it on the menu. And you have to Ask for it like that specifically which was not stated. The food overall was just ok and I won’t be going again.

Years ago this used to be the best Chinese take out around, and it was always my families ‘go-to’ for a take out. This year as my family reunited for Christmas, we ordered what we hoped would be a chinese take away worth travelling for. However, in reality what we received was bland, watery food. The chicken satay was not dissimilar to the sweet and sour pork, and I felt I had been lucky with my crispy beef in ok sauce. It wasn’t the most flavourful dish I had ever eaten but it was enjoyable. Unfortunately, my body disagreed with this. Soon after eating I developed mild gastro-intestinal pain, and woke up during the night with a terrible stomach ache and nausea. Sadly what I thought was an ok meal came back up, leading to a less than pleasant Christmas morning. I probably would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially given the rude attitude presented upon entering.

Went into Clitheroe looking for a takeaway. Wish I had read the reviews first. Ordered two meals couldn't tell the difference. No flavour no sauce extremely runny consistency. My wife and I have sampled Chinese food across the world this is the worst we have ever eaten. My first and last visit to this establishment.

This seemed like it would be a great option when we walked in as everyone in there seemed to know each other and the girl behind the counter was very friendly. The food is awful though. It has little to no taste, so I'm going to assume they use cheap frozen vegetables etc. The sauces also had no flavour either. The food didnt taste bad, it was just so bland it wasnt worth eating.

I have been a regular customer at the Capital for many years and it has always been my favourite. But my last few takeaways have tasted very bland. I usually order the same meal and the dishes used to be really mouthwatering. But I was so disappointed - the meat was dry and all of the meals were bland. Unfortunately I will be trying a different takeaway next time.

Fantastic menu options and great value. I can definitely recommend the curry options and fried rice with king prawns.

The menu is comprehensive and includes a few English dishes, mainly omelettes. Telephone ordering is possible. Street parking is available, but not too much as it is on a one way street with parking on one side only, it is also close to a junction where there are two public houses and no waiting at all. No access problems. Service is friendly & quick, but maybe too quick, as not all of my meal seemed of the same temperature, as though ingredients had been added to a ready made base. Although this takeaway had been recommended to me, my own experience was of it being average, maybe slightly less.
