Not happy about our morning at Catena. We came as a party of seven people, it was not busy when we came in but I guess there is a lack of staff. We ordered some hot drinks and our breakfast, we waited half an hour for our drinks!! When it’s only coffee and hot chocolate. Then waited another 15mn for our food, but the churros I have ordered took another 15mn, resulting on me looking at everyone eating and me looking at them. We then asked for butter, had to wait another 10 minute for a tiny bit of butter. Someone from our group had to leave before I receive my churros as it took longer than expected. Then I finally received my churros, not very good, can’t believe I waited that long for churros that tasted like hash browns (deffo cooked in the same oil). Very disappointed, the rest of my friends enjoyed their breakfast because it was good, but my experience was awful. I am sure you are not supposed to bring food to a table if not all the items are ready. Never experienced that before. We will not come back.

Nice to see this little cafe making a nice nest next to a giant. I didn't know Catena but I would go back. They offer plenty of choices that taste authentic and take into account allergies and preferences. The Spanish omelette that I chose was authentic-looking and amazingly thick in all its glory, delicious-tasting and the salad nutritious. Love the place's look. The food is ready so you don't have to wait and they even warm up your food. I would have given it more if it wasn't for a little egg shell in my omelette. I definitely believe that it is one of those things that happen. It didn't take away any of its taste. Everyone eyed my food and it took digging out the receipt, unfortunately, to remember the café name. This is after I looked for it anywhere on my food and its packaging. Shame there was no branding on the package but it might just be a cost-wise choice. Anyway. Recommended. There.

Very nice with comfy chairs good selection of food and drinks they take your order at the table and bring your food and drinks to the table which i like. Nice lighting and pictures would go again.

On Wednesday evening, my wife, child, mother-in-law, and I visited this branch, and we had an extremely disappointing experience. Even though there were more than two hours left until the restaurant’s closing time, we were seated in an area we didn’t prefer. When we requested a different table, we were told that other areas had already been cleaned and were not available for use. While I have no complaints about the quality of the food, I am deeply upset with the behavior of the staff. Their actions embarrassed me in front of my mother-in-law. During our meal, a female staff member approached us with an inappropriate tone, saying she needed to take the sauce bottles from our table because they needed to be cleaned. Without hesitation, she removed the bottles right in the middle of our meal and replaced them with sachets of sauce. We were all shocked by this behavior, and I became very upset. However, out of respect for my mother-in-law, I refrained from confronting the staff at the time, as I didn’t want to ruin her experience as our guest. To make matters worse, after we finished eating, new customers arrived and were seated at the very table we had initially requested. It is beyond frustrating to understand why we weren’t allowed to sit there earlier. And does the staff also tell new customers they can’t use sauce bottles because it’s “too late”? This excuse makes no sense, especially since there was still an hour left before the restaurant closed after we had finished our meal. On a positive note, the gentleman who took our order was very polite and respectful, and we appreciated his professionalism. That said, my wife and I are extremely disappointed with the overall experience, especially the behavior of that female staff member. I would not recommend this branch of Nando’s to anyone.

Georges used to be a regular haunt for us over the last few years, but a bad service experience put us off for a while, but we braved the restaurant again on Christmas eve, the food was awful, tiny portion of what was supposed to be confit salmon, this was so dry it was sticking to the roof of my mouth, my main was slow roasted pork loin, this was in fact gammon, i pointed this out to the waiter, but he had the chef confirm it was pork, and that i was mistaken, i wasnt, we all ordered desert, but after waiting for over 30 minutes we cancelled them, the best meal on the table of 8 people was my nephews childs fish and chips, such a shame this used to be a lovely place to eat, we wont be coming again

Got in at 12:17 On the website it said it said it was open but door was closed Eventually someone in open the door We sat down and ordered our food Francesinha Entremeada Caldo verde e pão de alho Drinks 2 waters 1 beer( the beer was asked to come with mains but my partner wanted a martini and beer to start with) At 1:05I got my soup then At 1:16 we got served the rest of the food but yet no drinks At 1:24 we got the drinks after my partner has got up and asked for the drinks , but by then we were all nearly finished with the food ( we were starving) I have worked in hospitality before and I know it’s hard to work on your own I have seen two members of staff but only one running around . The food in all honesty although a bit salty it was good and seemed fresh but the service and planning does need improvement in my opinion. Some dishes in the menu seemed overpriced . I think there is room for improvement regards service. No vegetarian/vegan options
