50 Cheyne is gorgeous ! Each time I go I realise I don't come enough. Food, cocktails , interior design all exquisite.. and all in my local area. Usually i find you have to go "into town" for this kind of restaurant.. which doesn't often work for me on a weekday, with children at home ! On Thursday night it was just the right type of busy with every table buzzy. Mostly dates and small groups of friends. I skipped a starter, had the lobster (grilled to perfection and really flavoursome) for mains and ended with a "one of everything" cheese board ... honestly best cheeseboard i've had in London. The quality of cheeses you usually only find in restaurants in France. Obsessed with the fact you can go over and choose from the trolley. Naughty delicious! The chef Iain came over to see if we were enjoying our food. Such a great touch. Old school Chelsea but zero snobbery and lots of smiles .. just the way I like it. Thank you 50 Cheyne!!

Great food and drink however it took 30 mins for anyone to take our food order and we were nearly there an hour before the starters arrived.

The service was excellent and the food was out of this world. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, the chocolate truffle that they served with coffee after dinner is possibly the best truffle I’ve ever had in my life

A lovely dinner at No. Fifty Cheyne with my fiance. We sat upstairs, which was beautifully decorated. The ornamented screens between tables are a nice touch, we felt covid safe yet not at all in a clinical way. Service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We will be back!

We were slow getting seated but the Mgmt made up for this with a cocktail on the house. Nice. Food was very slow (over 50 min wait) but was delicious when it finally made it to our table. Would return again.

Well managed in COVID times, creating still a great atmosphere while still safe. Warm and attentive service. Great food.

Major deception over the brunch menu and grilled meat quality. Definitely overpriced versus quality.

I have been to 50 Cheyne several times for the roast on a Sunday or drinks in the drawing room and have always been very impressed. The evening exceeded all my expectations, the service was impeccable as always and the food was extraordinary. Very impressed and can’t wait to return.

Best Sunday roast in Chelsea .... food was outstanding

Check the bill before you pay! Just had Sunday lunch with some friends visiting London. Sadly, the entire dining experience was destroyed by new maitre d'. After paying the bill, I noticed the number did not add up. After going through the bill, I realised I paid for the table next to us as well. When the maitre d' came back with the second bill, it was still incorrect. Upon presentation of the third bill, I had the pleasure to talking to the most arrogant maitre'd. He had very poor excuses, including the staff were new, and he was not reassuring and did not offer any sincere apologies or rectifications. After coming to this establishment since its re-opening, I do not think we will be heading back any time soon...

Wonderful food in a beautiful town house in Chelsea.

A perfect dinner date! Our first time to this Chelsea gem! We sat upstairs in the Drawing Room, looking out over the river - too cuuute! the carpaccio was amazing and too was the Eton Mess pudding! thank you Benoit for looking after us :))

The safest we've felt yet. A breath of fresh air when so many restaurants & bars seem to be bending the rules - we felt very safe, comfortable & cared for at No. Fifty. Paula was exceptionally accomodating and made our evening all the more special.

The restaurant looks different due to Covid related measures so not as cosy as before but the main issue with Cheyne is always their service. Service is not at the standard required.

I went there with a friend for a belated birthday dinner. The chef knew it was my birthday and then kept bringing out special treats . . . which made the whole experience quite personal. Friendly attentive staff eager to please and a fantastic riverside cosy dining experience. Will be back!

Really great food and nice atmosphere

Had a wonderful meal with my daughter. The Food and service was excellent. We changed our table as I didn’t like the original one as it was away from the main section of the restaurant. Would recommend it

Excellent food and good service. Only points of improvement would have been to received a little quicker attention when we first were seated and the house rose was of surprisingly poor quality. Otherwise, we were very impressed with the care taken over our health and well-being and the food was outstanding (the best at 50 Cheyne so far) and service very good when it started.

Highly recommended. Excellent. It is one of our favourites.

Excellent Sunday roast and desserts. Faultless service. Dog friendly although in the snug backroom. The front dining room was bright and airy. Very kindly looked after a wallet a fellow guest left. Thank you very much.

Always outstanding quality in food and service, excellent value for money and made us feel extremely safe given the COVID pandemic, so great to have this place back up and running again!

Lovely venue, good food but music was too loud and Staff are aware that asking diners to confirm their upcoming reservation should be by text, not through an annoying process of options and being left on the line with muzak! Never again, please!! We really enjoyed our evening and will come again. Thanks

The roast potatoes forgave the hour wait for our food.. I do not believe I have ever quite had a roast like it.. <br /><br />Twas our first dining experience at Fifty Cheyne and most definitely not our last.. For Sunday traditions of dressing up and dining with the family this most definitely is the the number one spot.. There was a certain elegance but home comfort at a fifty, the staff et very attentive .. <br /><br />Disappointed at the hour wait for our food to arrive and when a portion of padron peppers were offered we wr quite surprised to then see them on our bill.. <br /><br />I couldn’t fault the food at all, there was plenty of it but not too much that it was uncomfortable eating .. <br /><br />We only spoke about how delicious it was with every bite , the side extra side order of cauliflower cheese wasnt quite as necessary or delicious as the waiter made out.. <br /><br />I simply had to order dessert.. two between four was enough, I had the apple Tarte tatin which was mouth watering delicious and a sticky toffee pudding, speechless <br /><br />Twas quite pricey but worth every penny

Our first visit but definitely not the last, we enjoyed everything about the meal.

There was a private party upstairs and it felt that the staff were not coping very well with it. It took quite a long time to get seated and to get our food. The waiters were lovely but it felt they were under pressure. The food was very good and overall we enjoyed our evening and would recommend the place if there are no private parties booked.

Benoit is a superstar and all the staff are lovely.

We spent a lovely evening at 50 Cheyne last weekend. The food was well executed and the venue is the perfect balance of relaxed but still managing to feel high class. The wine list is varied and staff friendly and knowledgable.

We were unable to get our wine chilled in a proper ice bucket, the menu is limited and does not change, and our expensive Dover sole arrived lukewarm.

Me and my wife enjoyed a romantic evening at No. Fifty Cheyne. We were able to get a table next to the fireplace, which was a pleasant surprised. My wife raved about her Salmon Tartare and Cod in white wine sauce, while my Fillet was cooked to perfection. Service was fantastic across the board, but our waiter was 5 stars. When I told him that I had a mushroom allergy, he made sure to check with the kitchen that none of my food contained mushrooms. As it turned out, one of the sauces did, so I was able to change part of my order, and saved my from a night of discomfort.

It was excellent, food was incredibly delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is not too noisy which is great. I will definitely be going back. The rice pudding is out of this world and the fish and the risotto was so good.

Reservation was accidentally cancelled. We booked 50 Cheyne because we had a wonderful experience last year, and wanted to have a quiet fireside drink and supper. We arrived early to have a drink and turned up to 15 blokes having a birthday party. fireside sofas blocked with dudes drinking lager. Seated in a breezeway between the dining room and table of 15 blokes. starter 45 min late and no nuts or olives even though we asked for something. My wife can&#039;t eat gluten. Massive potential but sadly no up to it.

Lovely restaurant, great location and ambience. I wanted to visit as my family ran this establishment back in the 50’s as a pub. Then called the Kings Head Nd Eight Bells. Was seriously impressed, we’ll be back.

Probably unfair to comment. Was a very quiet lunch, on a Tuesday in early January. More staff than customers, not easy to create an atmosphere.

We had a wonderful meal at Cheyne - our little one was delighted to be looked after so well by Alban (our waiter) and my wife loved the new Veganuary menu. my steak was impressively huge and perfectly cooked. a must visit

We had a superb meal. No. Fifty Cheyne restaurant is simply wonderful! From the ambience and decor to the staff and their friendliness onto the simply outstanding food. We had a great time and highly recommend it. Ten out of ten. One of my Favourite restaurants in London, in fact anywhere!

DO NOT COME ON A SUNDAY!!!<br />We went for a nice family dinner at the end of a weekend. <br />It was half closed and very understaffed.<br />We have come to this restaurant in different occasions before and after the renovations. <br />Tonight was the biggest disappointment. Understaffed, bread stale, waited over an hour for mains, only one waiter for the 6 tables. <br />Other tables sent back their mains for being cold, people complained for long wait for desserts, etc. <br />another issue we encountered was that a fellow client came with his big dog and was let roam around the restaurant licking my hand and clothes!!! <br />TOTALLY unacceptable!!!<br />Even the only waiter owned to the fact that there was not enough staff and was not acceptable. He offered to quit! <br />Better close on Sunday than offering this sad experience to repeat customers. <br />Never again!

Excellent restaurant. We definitely would make it one of our default go to venues. Food, drinks, service, atmostphere, toilets, all exceptional indeed. 😀 we celebrated my wife’s birthday here with overseas friends. Awesome!

Waiters could not be more helpful, superb evening with excellent food!

While the setting is very pleasant, both upstairs and down, the spaces were far too hot for comfort. The food was disappointing and did not live up to its promise, with too much salt in all courses. As a consequence the cost of the experience felt outrageously high. So, no real encouragement to return.

Fantastic food the best roast we’ve had in London and we have had plenty! Better in our opinion than Simpsons and the Dorchester grill room ! Will definitely be back the service was excellent! Thankyou for a lovely Sunday lunch

I took my parents to dinner and we had a wonderful time. The service was spectacular. Decido served us, he spoke 5 languages, invited us to coffee. Just great. The decoration is stunning, the food outstanding! I had the best halibut ever! I strongly strongly recommend!

Profoundly disappointing. Pretty room, but food was average. Missed the mark on many levels.

Incredible food, incredible service....easily the best restaurant in Chelsea

Absolutely an amazing place, food, service &amp; Christmas decoration and atmosphere is just magical.

The incredible food, warm friendly service and beautiful environment managed to redeem for its very inefficient service, we walked in and were ignored so made our ways ourselves upstairs. We were stopped halfway up stating our table was ready. Then our waiter disappeared and where were again left standing aimlessly at the door. Was sat at a table near the door which made for a very draft evening. Not one server was looking after our table but about 3 different waiting staff so was asked the same questions several times at servers different point of service. A simple ‘section’ per server would work far better. The food was incredible and when the multitude of serves where lovely, just made for haphazard overall experience.

Enjoyable evening. Overall very good. Food let down by cold plates - not good especially for fish. Music rather too loud. Service excellent and friendly, only let down by a mix up with coats.

I like the venue but on Sunday night the service was poor. We were not served for drinks at the lounge upstairs. My glass of wine arrived after I had finished my main course. Also coffee machine broken.

This used to be one of our very favourite restaurants in London. When we were experiencing the end of the heat wave last week we thought it would be a great night to go there and enjoy food and wine. This evening my hubby and I decided to take scallops for starters and rib eye steaks and prawns for main. We couldn’t make a better choice. Well done for chef !! Service excellent and new look amazing!! Highly recommend for dinner date♥️

Amazing service, delicious food

We had our 2019 Thanksgiving dinner here - and, yes, we understand that Thanksgiving isn&#039;t celebrated in the UK. It was fabulous. Started with salmon tartare and beef carpaccio, and mains of rib eye, risotto and their Christmas turkey special. When we told them that we were there for Thanksgiving, the welcome was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Wonderful staff, but a small menu. Fish of the day (halibut) just a touch well done; the oxcheek perfect. A lovely wine list, but with a very limited offering under£50.
