Coin De Paris in Kingston upon Thames

Coin de Paris has been our go to café in Kingston for the last 17 years. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the food is great, a good selection of cakes always on offer and the baguettes and salads are always well made and delicious.

The best Brie Salad Baguettes and Fries I have ever had. Regularly the same quality - beautiful creamy cheese . Looked after by Tony always pleased to see us and it’s genuine . If you are in Kingston upon Thames , try it - you will become a regular. Coffee is also delicious 🤤

Hands down the most delicious cake in town. Always fresh and not too sweet just perfect. We always order cakes here whenever we celebrate birthdays in our clinic. Super nice people too.

Scrumptious meals in surprisingly short wait times. Does very good English breakfasts and chocolate crêpes. Very friendly staff. I LOVE COIN DE PARIS!

ITS HYGIENE RATING IS ZERO! Check the Food Standards Agency website for yourself. I sat down and ordered a tea whilst I looked at the menu to decide what I wanted for lunch. Fortunately, I then remembered to check its hygiene rating. Imagine my shock when I saw it was zero and that rating was as recently as March 2024. I’m so glad I remembered to check and dodged that bullet. 🤢 Service was polite but who cares when it’s that filthy.

Called in for lunch I had a lovely tuna salad …great food ,good atmosphere,and lovely staff, lots of regular customers here really enjoyed it.Would recommend a visit.

Love this place! I have been to most of the cafes in Kingston over the years and Coin De Paris hits the spot every time. The guy running/serving is very friendly and always remembers us. Good food, fair prices and a nice atmosphere. Card payments accepted.

I love coming to this café; it's service is friendly and quick, and the food is always good (I recommend the Lebanese Superfood Salad and the full English breakfast). I literally have no faults to comment on 👍🏻⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Love coming here with my mum on a Sunday. Love sitting outside to watch the world go by. They always remember us and very polite and friendly. Food is always good.

Wouldn’t take a rat here let alone my family. Come for a nice quiet lunch and ended up with hair in my food, the man tony who works there is beyond rude. Had an issue regarding hair then he walks into kitchen and loudly discusses what’s happened while laughing. Would never go there again tony is a TIT. Poor service and terrible food.

Hands down the BEST cafe in Kingston!! The food is absolutely delicious (the chicken salad is amazing) and it’s very reasonably priced. Plus it has the loveliest outdoor seating area and friendliest service too!

Lacking atmosphere, unkept and untidy inside. Floor needs a good deep clean and kitchen area also rather untidy. Not good americano coffee I'm afraid. Had a panini which was rather tasteless, ingredients probably bought from costco or bookers food service?

This is a lovely restaurant. Great atmosphere, friendly people and delicious food. The omelette is so light and just right for lunch. We've been a number of times and it never disappoints. Thoroughly recommended.

As a food reviewer I wanted to take the chance and try some food and take videos in order to promote the business. The Italian man that was there was so utterly rude, disrespectful and left when I told him I wanted to try the food and rate him highly to give him business. The entire interior is dark, dirty and dingy. Do not eat here.

A lovely cafe with friendly, welcoming staff and a comprehensive menu of wonderful food. The omelettes are delicious, as are the paninis. We have been there for lunch a number of times, are given a warm welcome and are never disappointed.

It was my first time today and possibly the last. I had mozzarella and tomatoes toasted in brown bread. There was no taste to the cheese at all and it was a very thin slice indeed. It is also expensive for what it is. I would not recommend this place.

This is one of the most delicious bakeries in the south west and probably in London. The cakes are to die for, sandwiches are freshly made and the service is really friendly and dog friendly. I really love small and family run businesses ! Thank you !

This is a great, affordable place to have breakfast in Kingston. The staff are so friendly here and the food is great: pastries, cooked breakfasts, cakes. There is outdoor seating so it’s lovely on a sunny day.

This is one of the best cafes I've ever been to. I had a tuna melt with fries and it was delicious. The panini was cheesy, the fries were super crispy but amazing. Everything was perfect. The service was quick as well. I highly recommend coming here.

nice place for a quick bite during lunch break with French-ish dish like omelette, baguette, salad but also English breakfast, wrap. A selection of pastry is also available. better to stay out when lovely weather. inside you get a stamp of the cuisine odours.

Wonderful cafe situated in the heart of Kingston town centre. Wonderful menu choice of hot and cold food. Fabulous cakes and staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Yeah, it's ok, I think it gets four stars for great friendly service and nice atmosphere, three for decent but unexceptional food, and two stars for the prices, which seem high for what's basic caff grub.

I like the food but unfortunately do not take card payments and didn't find out until I came to pay.😕

I went today, with someone else, so 2 of us. We were told to sit in a seat where my wife had to get up 3 times so other customers could get passed and go to the toilet. My seat got bumped every time a new customer came in. We ordered a cheese and ham panini, and a crispy bacon and egg baguette. We got a cheese and barely cooked bacon panini and a barely cooked bacon and fried egg baguette. I will not be going back!

Excellent spot for a quick coffee and cake or croissant, they also do sandwiches and baguettes. Nice in warm weather to sit outside and watch the world go by.

I went in there for my 4 yr old son to have a late breakfast. He just wanted an omelette with a toasted cheese sandwich, and I had a cup of English breakfast tea. Whilst most omelettes came with 3-4 fillings and a salad- prices between 6 and 7 GBP and A toasted croque monsieur with 3-4 fillings priced between 4 and 6 GBP- I was charged £11.90 for this ‘kid’ meal as follows- A plain one egg omelette for £6 and a toasted cheese sandwich for £4 and my tea for £1.90. ExhorbitAnt!!!! I also asked for a detailed receipt but the cash machine did not have ink to print a proper receipt. Worst of all the salad (which I did not ask for) accompanying the Omelette had a hair in it and was left un touched. And to top it off- they do not take card payment- cash only- so I had to go to a cash machine to retrieve money. The staff were pleasant enough, music was very good. But overall appalling experience. Will not go back!

It was cold the morning we visited and so we sat towards the rear of the restaurant however there is a constant level of folk going outside to sit, drink coffee and smoke. No problem there however the door does not have a return spring (that works) and so the icy blast keeps coming in.I had a croque monsiuer which was average with a small green salad. It isn’t expensive so if you are simply after a quick bite with no thought to great quality then it is fine

OMG! We came here from London after nearly 10 years, the owner and staff friendly as ever and food is of a very high quality and still amazing! Especially Croque Madame, it was just gorgeous!

One lunch and two breakfasts - super food at very reasonable prices (not just for greater London, for anywhere) with very friendly service.

Came here with my girlfriend and we were instantly greeted by a cheerful friendly man who invited us in to sit where we wanted and handed us the menus. The food we had was cooked very well, it's not gourmet or anything like that. But that's not what you want when you go somewhere like this. It was very homely, as if you'd gone to your grandmas or mums for a bit of proper decent home cooked grub! It was delicious! I will definitely be visiting here more often!

Ok cafe. Wasn't overly impressed by the food. Thought it was a bit over priced for what i had. Would visit again but its not my first choice.

Bought an almond cappuccino and was presented with a white coffee. I politely asked for another and the man behind the counter said that the reason the coffee was bad was because I'd asked for almond milk and that I'd have to pay again. It was dealt with very poorly and rudely and I will not return.

Always welcoming, and they remember me from when I used to drop my son at Warhammer shop and drink a coffee or two while he slaughtered Orks or whatever. Cash only though.

Well established cafe that is clean and very welcoming. Had some chips and cold drinks in here whilst in Kingston.

Had a snack lunch here during a shopping trip and it was really nice; staff friendly, food really tasty, portions huge. Had a glass of the house rose; very palatable.I would eat here vs fighting for a table on the riverside and paying high prices for average food any time. The goats cheese salad was huge and had lots of goats cheese on, which is a basic many places seem to miss! My friend had the club sandwich- again, big plate with lots of lovely skinny french style fries. It's completely not fancy; 'rustic' I guess... it would be 4* out of 5, but it is such amazing value that it gets 5* from me.

This is one of our favourite snack places in Kingston. It is unpretentious but has very good food and prompt, friendly service. From the all day breakfast through to delicious home made baguettes the food is very tasty. The coffee is also good and prices are reasonable.

We nearly walked by this venue but I’m glad we didn’t. Fantastic food at reasonable prices, friendly, welcoming staff, and a little piece of Paris right in the heart of Kingston. The interior decor is atmospheric.

The staff is friendly and genuine. I had a breakfast baguette which was pretty good. The coffee tasted good but as an ex barista, I wouldn't call it a latte.

We have been visiting this cafe for years - probably 10 years. I dont know why I never rated it before! The owner and the staff are great. We hardly have to ask what we want; they start preparing as we arrive!

First I have to say that the staff are just wonderful. They make you feel very comfortable and right at home. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. They didn't charge me for some extras (butter/bread/jam) even though they usually do. They cook everything from scratch including their soft baguettes/pastries etc.. (unlike other cafes around...) and that beautiful oven-cooked chicken is to die for, a must-try! I visited on 3 occasions and had the omelettes, garlic chicken wrap and the superfood salad! The coffee is the best I've had in Kingston and great value for money! It's a shame they do not have other branches around London as I work in the city, they could easily surpass the big boys (Pret,Leon etc..)

We visit this cafe most weeks. The service is always efficient, friendly and welcoming. The cappuccinos are really good and tea comes in a comfortingly large mug. A great range of pastries and an extensive hot menu on offer, including English breakfast and paninis, etc. A good stop for a break whilst out shopping in Kingston.

Ci siamo stati di Sabato all'ora di pranzo e volevamo mangiare poco perchè la sera avevamo in programma una cena a un ristorante. Abbiamo quindi ordinato un sandwich caldo con bacon , pomodoro, pollo ed altri ingredienti che non ricordo, da dividere. Ci hanno portato due fette tostate con all'interno una montagna di cose , con contorno di patatine fritte. Anche diviso in due era decisamente abbondante e molto appetitoso ed abbiamo persino lasciato molte patate perchè erano davvero tante. Con anche due succhi di arancia e un caffè abbiamo speso la stessa cifra che i giorni precedenti abbiamo speso per un tramezzino freddo diviso in due, molto più piccolo, e due aranciate , consumati in varie catene (Pret a manger..etc) molto popolari in UK. Ci è piaciuto!

Visited for breakfast with my mum. We were both impressed with the quality of the food and the friendly service.

This place is a bit tatty and dated but clean nonetheless. The staff will never win any awards for customer service however the food is excellent and really good value. They also do an excellent cup of coffee which seems to be a rarity these days. Definitely worth a visit.
