Colton Arms in Hammersmith and Fulham

The Colton Arms is currently boarded up and PERMANENTLY CLOSED and in administration. A Design My Night Reviewer reports from 21st March he visited and was told his booking had been cancelled so business knew it was in difficulties back then .

Friendly service. Fish and chips were delicious, ipa was great, but £9 for a glass of rose? Too much for a true Yorkshire man!

Great food and a lovely ambience. Loads of seating and a nice terrace too. The pies and beers were particularly good and Nadia was most kind.

My friends and I visited on Friday 15th March, and unfortunately, we encountered an issue with our bill. We were wrongly charged for a beer, and when we brought it to the attention of the new manager, she became argumentative and spoke down to us. Specifically, she insisted on charging us for the beer "as it was poured," despite the error being on the pub's end. As longtime patrons of the Colton Arms we have always valued the friendly and respectful atmosphere created by the previous manager. However, the behaviour displayed by this new manager was unprofessional, aggressive and detracted from our overall experience. We understand that transitions can be challenging, but we hope that management will address this issue promptly to ensure that all customers feel valued and respected.

A great lunch as ever. Regularly using the pub for 40 years, never disappointed. Unbelievable service and attention from Nadia.

Love this pub! Manager is really friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious and best Sunday roast I’ve had in London by far. Interior is warm and cozy but with the outside garden for summer.

Have been to the Colton Arms a few times and very much enjoyed their Sunday roasts. Cosy pub with great back garden. Small and compact....bathrooms always clean, service always attentive and really enjoy their wine and beer selection. look forward to going back for another roast soon. Many Thanks

I had roast beef for Sunday lunch. The beef was tough probably because it too well done. Very disappointing. On plus side service was welcoming.

This is a little gem. The food here is amazing ok it's not weatherspoons prices, but you pay for what you get and would pick food here over curtains up all day long quality food great atmosphere

Great local pub next to the Queen's Club Tennis ground, 10mins from Barons Court tube and Charing Cross Hospital. Great food, and with an outdoor courtyard.

We went there to try the Sunday roast, as it is known to be very good. The beef roast was better than the pork one. I was expecting the YP to be softer than it was, but my son has just loved it the way it was.

A great find off the beaten track near Barons Court. Food was delicious and they had a great selection of beers. Bartender was very friendly too

What a great neighborhood pub! We enjoyed an excellent burger an a pint. And the Jersey Royals (roasted potatoes) were also delicious.

Highly recommend The Colton Arms. Enjoyed a brilliant night at this iconic old pub. Peter the manager went above and beyond to fit us in for dinner on a very busy, fun filled Trivia night. The fish and chips was simply the best I had during my London stay and the drinks flowed freely!!This old establishment has a cosy atmosphere lots of character, in a great location and I can’t thank Peter and his staff enough for their warmth and friendly approach. ♥️

No where comfy to sit if just drinking!

There is an extremely over priced menu. I had the partridge roast dinner. There was no meat at all on the partridge and the accompaniments were all overcooked and/or cold. The price tag was eye watering and the service was dead slow.

Just around the corner from my house. They have Timothy Taylor's Boltmaker!! 😍 I've been several times, tried the fish and chips, bavette, wagyu burger, fish pie, roast beef, etc. Food is fantastic, drinks selection is great, super cozy pub with an outside area at the back. We arrived as a party of 8 without booking on a World Cup evening. We were welcomed and a table found for us. Everyone was impressed with the standard of the food and service. Highly recommended

Very good roast we had on Sunday. The portion was big, very tasty and reasonable price! The service is friendly and attentive, but it was quite busy and went a bit slow when we were going to get the bill. Will definitely visit again for Sunday roast!

Wasn’t impressed with the vegetarian pasta served during lunch. Was bland and extremely pricy for what it was. £14. Nice atmosphere tastefully decorated with mock gothic revival furniture and panels.

I have lived in the area for several years and cycle past the pub on the way to and from work. Since lockdown I have made a point of visiting small local pubs as opposed to the big chain pubs as much as I did. The Colton Arms is lovely. I went in last night after work. The place is very homely. The staff are friendly and the pub is very reasonably priced for the area. I enjoyed three cold beers. I will be returning very soon. A great experience!

What an amazing and unique venue for my small wedding this year. I couldn't have asked for a more personal setting and the staff were so brilliant and attentive to our needs. Max the chef created a menu worthy of a high-end restaurant. This place is honestly a gem you have to try and a great setting for a small party too.

Sunday roast is amazing Pork belly or beef, can’t lose, both are delicious and huge portions. Great food, great staff, great little spot to enjoy your Sunday afternoon.

A very nice surprise right beside the Queen's Club. Amazing Beef Wellington and a very tender Dorset lamb. We will be back and try the wagyu burger for sure... very wide selection of beers and ciders. The proper GastroPub you ever wanted! Well done!

Veramente un bel pub!

Under new management (and ownership). The pub itself is very pretty, and now the food has considerably improved. Original and generous dishes. We had the white onion soup and bavette with café de Paris butter, both great. The frangipane tart was also delicious and very well executed. The wine list could really do with improvement to make justice to the food they serve.

Wonderful and cosy little local pub. They have a small garden space which may all be occupied already thanks to its tiny size, but even then its just an amazing pub. Service was happy and helpful. Food was good too. And beers/G'nT very much above average. Easy to recommend.

Thursday night Tasting featuring Pork and five Point beers as the stars, well this tiny pub next to Queens Club Tennis blew us away. A warm friendly greeting followed by food and drink tasting service that would be appreciated anywhere in the World we are both 70ish and have travelled far and wide the food here produced by a young kitchen team was amazing the combinations married to a variety of Hackneys Five Point Beers was genius… if you are ever near Barons Court give this little pub a go …or if you are near are looking for a beer with or without food check whether there is a Red Cat Pub nearby… these folk really know the job of making the customers smile… The Colton is a star surrounded by mediocrity of pubs and diners…

Perfect meal with perfect ambient. Hired for my engagement. Chef Max and Jack both were helpful and great at whole arrangements. Nice meals and courtesy was at its best.

Just visited today with my best mate.What a place ! Quirky little Pub that opens up into a lovely place.Had a few Pints then had dinner. Hannah the Boss is absolutely lovely and Tom who works behind the Bar and bus tables is a really nice genuine helpful off the Wall person. The Chef is called Max who works with one other who I didn't get the name of.Anyway the food is incredible,I had the Half Poussin and it was without doubt the best dish I have ever eaten in a Pub and then the Cheese Board was amazing with proper big pieces of three cheeses and enough for not One but probably Three people. My new favourite Pub in the whole of London. Outstanding.

Stumbled across this pub while wandering around the local and had a gastronomic experience with the beetroot gnochi with horseradish sauce. A pleasant pun-rich environment with artifical songbirds, heraldic arms and abstract modernistic paintings.

Came here in a bit of a hurry for lunch and enjoyed our meal very much. Wag yu burger was great, pork terrine delicious, steak and chips also satisfactory. We enjoyed trying a couple of different beers. Service was friendly. Would definitley like to come back when you can sit outside in the inner terrace.

Love the actual pub, but the meal cost me a fortune and was poor. Ordered the turbot which was quite slimy/not cooked right, and there was nothing else to the dish - a bit of celeriac puree and a couple tiny pieces of cauliflower. This cost £21. Very disappointed. Crumble was also not good - could've made a better one myself.

Called up easily at last minute after finding out that the pub re-opened. Very helpful staff and incredibly homely. We live close by and it’s the best pub in the area. Highly recommend.

One of my favourite spaces in West London. Very nice staff & atmosphere. Very good food and then there's the ambience from the carved wooden panels.... Being immediately adjacent to the LTA's Queen's Club is not shabby either. Lovely spot.

Honestly, the best duck I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, all round 10/10 evening.

Lovely pub, staff were friendly and food was great, however, so disappointed that they pride themselves on their Sunday Roasts which is why we chose here to find they had no mint sauce for the lamb and no cranberry sauce for the chicken! Surely a top roast comes with all the trimmings? My husband's favourite is roast lamb but loves lashing of mint sauce on it so returned it have the chicken only to find they didn't have cranberry either so offered him a tiny pot of apple sauce instead. Sadly disappointed after the good reviews and being in the top ten restaurants for a Sunday roast but seemed to not think the condiments were an essential to this!

Popped in while walking my dog. Haven’t been in since COVID , previous to COVID I was a regular. Ordered a glass off wine £10.50 then service charge ? Only a glass of Pinot . Question the price because I remember a glass of Pinot roughly £7 or £8 ! And I can’t go to the bar so wack on service charge . No wonder your empty

Lovely cosy pub with very attentive staff and a great selection of food and drink on offer. The staff have done a great job with adapting to the runnings in these times and everything felt very safe and secure - visited with a group of friends on Saturday and were looked after attentively by the new manager who was very knowledgeable with menu recommendations. Will definitely be back soon!

A very friendly 'Local' with great staff and fabulous food. Very cosy indeed but even in these days of Covid a very responsible approach for the safety of customers and staff. The best Sunday roast around. Big generous serving of succulent roast beef served great selection of seasonal vegetables and hot gravy. Can't ask for anything more! Our fav!

Used to love the food here, but change in management has meant no more HG Walter meat and poorer quality food. Real pity to see our fav West Kens neighbourhood pub become another mediocre chain.

Sunday Roast is the best you'll ever have besides your mums home cooking! Definitely worth a visit!!! Perfectly cooked Beef and Pork Belly which was falling apart. We really enjoyed our time here and will recommend to others. Thank you to Head Chef and the rest of the team in the kitchen on the floor!!! You have done very well since reopening after lock down. Congratulations!!!

I have been three times with my husband, family and friends and enjoyed all of them. Friendly staff, nice environment and good pub food.

It was nice and quirky before, but after the renovation it is a genuinely nice place for dinner. Perfect for a drink or a dinner with friends - have had many great evenings there. So happy to have this wonderful place on our doorstep.

My first time in here (after driving past it on many occasions!) A rather pleasant pub. The bar is about 3 feet from the entrance so care is needed as you enter! Beer quality is reasonable. Worth a visit 👍😊

We arrived late in the evening for dinner, but the restaurant still served us. The food was good, bit pricey. We enjoyed it though.

Llegamos para Sunday Roast y nos sorprendió gratamente! Qué almuerzo tan encantador todos tuvimos. Todo estaba muy rico. El servicio fue muy bueno. Para ser sincero, cuando entramos por primera vez, estábamos pensando "qué hemos reservado", no ser gente de pub. Bueno, ¡ciertamente hicieron un trabajo brillante! !

Went for Sunday lunch, really nice place and welcoming atmosphere. We all had the roast - the beef had to be sent back as it was so chewy (could just have been bad luck) but it was dealt with brilliantly and otherwise it was probably the best roast I've had in a pub. The chicken was delicious and highly recommended it. Will go back again.

Pleasant enough, and the meat was fantastic (as advertised). Happy friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. Ok selection of beer (wouldn't have minded a broader set though), good gins.

Primera vez aquí, ya que solemos ir a Cumberland Arms (también fantástico) pero imaginamos algo diferente. Un poco decepcionado con la selección de cervezas, pero lo compensaron con su enorme (¡quiero decir, enorme!) Selección de licores y la lista de vinos era excelente.Servicio muy amable y muy, muy buena comida. Ambos tuvimos un trozo de merluza, que estaba perfectamente preparado. Ambos estábamos bastante sorprendidos por lo buena que era la cocina, para un borracho local. Mi pareja tenía una burrata con muchos trozos y piezas que disfrutaba inmensamente. Ambos demolimos una tarta de ciruela después. Delicioso.¡Volveremos!
