Service was quick however all staff look incredibly moody and angry and bring the atmosphere down tremendously.

Unfortunately, despite it only being 12.30pm, they had already run out of the Christmas roast dinners? Such a shame.

Dropped with friends after a chance meeting outside. Delighted to report it's still as good as it was 15 years back when I was a regular.

I love spoons but this one isn't the best. It's OK but the staff seem uninterested and on more than one occasion I have had to ask for a glass when ordering a canned drink.

Slow food, not very good, lukewarm warm and not very tasty…..took so long I ended up with a parking ticket

Not been for several years after a bad experience previously, fast forward, nothing has changed! toilets,tables needed cleaning, 20 minutes to get served at bar, people pushing in front, staff couldn’t care less even when pointed out, draft beer tasted awful, watched food being returned repeatedly. Drunks causing problems! Yet place was packed and this was in the afternoon!

A very busy and large Spoons. Food was ok, but a little cold. This was a very busy Saturday just before Christmas. Food was hot when it arrived but cooled down very quickly.

It is a Wetherspoon .... Cheap drinks and people who like that......just only go for drinks....never eat there....and yet that is my opinion. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ For drinks.....only drinks. I would never eat there....just not that brave did I say 4 stard.for drinks

A moment of fun in an otherwise cruel world.we were both wearing shirts with the Norton logo.. but mine was on a t shirt i was wearing under another.. he got a surprise when i did a superman reveal to match with his Norton...

To be honest the old saying you get what you pay for applies to this place, it's cheap. The portions are very small and quality only average. The worst thing was it was all luke warm almost cold. The dessert was terrible, Apple crumble with ice cream. The crumble was raw flour and sugar. Won't be going back 🥴

Quite a small place with usual tap beers and real ales. Carpeted throughout with nice tables and chairs. Beer was good at a good price. Staff were friendly and polite. Really nice visit.

Its Spoons, does what it says on the tin. Came in for their Traditional Breakfast, easy to order on the app, added extra hash brown. Polite waitress who checked on us. The coffee from the machine is actually pretty good. I do recommend the Espresso. I think they use Lavazza coffee.

Budget food at budget prices. Great coffee, hot drinks all refillable at low cost.

Went for breakfast. Food was great, and they had a wide range of options at very reasonable prices. Ambience was pretty nice as well (we went on a Saturday morning, and it wasn’t too crowded). Toilets were also spacious and clean. Highly recommended.

Look, it's a Spoons, it's cheap and the food isn't bad - the chips in particular are excellent. Our food got forgotten and we waited an hour but the staff were lovely and very apologetic that we got overlooked. I had ham egg and chips, ham was lovely, chips amazing, egg yolks hard, but that said, my mum had the same and her yolks were perfect!

Fair prices and good products. The service is friendly and quick. However, something could be cleaned better. But we will come back, there is something cozy about it

I loved this place. I was student in 2020, and I was foreign, every sever were so kind and every food was so nice. My best pick was fish n chips and it's still my favorite

I'd never been to this Wetherspoons before, it's huge inside! Lovely day out in Eastbourne finished off with a meal. As usual the food was very good, nice atmosphere in the pub.

Very poor service at bar waited about ten minutes to be served when bar staff did come to serve me he walked of again to do the app and plus they didn't watch who was next very nice bounce on door and plenty

As locals, we use this place a couple of times a week. But mostly, we go to the London & county. As the staff are more friendly, better trained and a more comfortable environment.

Really handy and quite central if you want a meal and a pint. Had the steak and pepper sauce...not bad at all. Possibly a 5 or 6 minute walk to the beaches so you can easily walk it off. 2 minutes from Eastbourne train station.

This wasn't a bad wetherspoons, we went In at around 4pm as a group of 15 and the place was extremely busy so we had to Sit in the garden as nowhere else. Good pub good food and drinks but could do with getting some garden heaters

Everyone knows what to expect with a Wetherspoons pub! Cheap and fairly good beer, Cheap and fairly awful food, Cheap and badly trained staff. Cornfield Garage is no different But seriously £2.50 for a half pint of diet coke, when a pint of lager is £2.99? Wish I had gone to the co-op next door and sat and drunk out of the can at the bus-stop

Oh dear! After visiting this Spoons regularly and other Spoons all over the country last night was the worse we have had. Please put it right.

Poor service, no one checked to see if food was ok, mixed grill over cooked. Pudding nuked in microwave and ice cream had lumps of ice it in. Only plus is price of beer, recommend to drink here not to eat

My Girlfriend Sue a mature woman hadn't ever been to a Wetherspoons , or Launderette, So being in the holiday mood after traveling 251 miles . Had looked up the reviews Cornfield Garage , Hooray she loved the meal bought me pint of Guinness Sue had pint of Stella . Cheers me dears

Cornfield garage used to be much better than London and County. Service was always much smoother and quicker. They seem to be slowing down and spend more time chatting with colleagues and bottling up rather than getting drinks out. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE! The people on the other side of the bar are the ones paying your wages!

Popped in for a quick late breakfast all prepared and brought to our table in no time..next time we are in Eastbourne I think another visit must happen.

What an amazing deal...a 2 course meal for 2 for about £20.I had cod and chips plus FRESH orange juice,my husband steak and kidney pudding plus milk,ice-cream plus sauce x 2 Staff are great(especially short dark haired lady,young man dark skinned,beard. Lots of customers...no wonder is it ? Thoroughly recommend

Excellent service, great value and good quality food. Very clean and spacious with friendly staff. Every week I'm here there's always difficulty connecting to the WiFi. A bit disappointing as the mobile signal inside is weak, this makes ordering through the app a chore.

I sat outside with my bike. The service (using their App and table number) was rapid. Maybe 5 minutes for the drink and another 5 for the Chicken Tikka.

Popped in for a coffee on our way to the hotel. Wonderful old building with a lovely atmosphere.

Got a small wrap and drink. Good price but the wrap was very wet and leaked with juices when it wasn’t meant to!

What is it and lacking basic customer service? With a maximum of four people waiting to be served at the bar, you would think the bar staff would have the very basic.. 'Very Basic' customer service skill to be aware of who is next to be served. Instead you end up nearly arguing with other customers. It's not.. good.. enough. Seriously.. what does it take to use your brain to be aware of customers. When its friday/Saturday night I would understand more.. or week end lunch time, but not first thing in the morning when theres a maximum of four people at the bar. The food and drink maybe cheap.. but doesnt mean the customer service has to be! It happens on a regular basis.. and it really needs to be addressed. Other than that.. the vast majority are pro-active.. friendly.. and management always on the ball being pro active which is rare in most places. Respect to the majority of the staff 100%

Bright and airy, this 'Spoons' is our favourite. Open log fire in the winter, large partially sheltered garden patio, and the usual range of beers and menu. Great for a family during the day.

It's a Wetherspoons! It's a large one, we managed to get a table here unlike the other Wetherspoons in Eastbourne, but it was almost the last one. Very busy, great service and kept clean and tidy.

Typical Wetherspoons, food and service is good .Plenty of seating at the rear. Toilets on the ground floor is a bonus. Eaten here many times, I would recommend this place and will return.

I would recommend this Wetherspoons to anyone who asks. 1st class experience from the staff to the food. The choice of drinks was as expected excellent.

Bar staff don't give a toss who jumps the queue to get served, they will serve anyone in any order.Possibly the worst Wetherspoon pub I have had the misfortune to visit, The nearby London & Country Wetherspoon pub is far better with better staff.

Quite a poor wetherspoons. Don't have a lot of the regular ale you would expect, and they don't bother indicating that they are out.

Was visiting Eastbourne for the weekend and my partner and I wanted a full English to keep us going for the busy day ahead. We arrived at 11.50am to see it was VERY busy, but we managed to get a booth table and quickly set about ordering via the app before the 12pm breakfast cutoff time! Our order went through at 11.59 and it arrived at our table within 20 minutes, which considering how busy they were I was impressed with. I was also very impressed with the price, I had a large breakfast for only £6.59 and free refill coffee for an extra £1.59. That is VERY good value. It was all cooked great, did the job, set us up for the day and was such a great deal that we came back the next day for another one!

Dirty un cleaned tables .. condiments nearly all empty .. bar staff clearly can’t cope serving on a Saturday afternoon and early evening.. don’t get me started on the ladies toilets either as sanitary bins well and truely over flowing .. no loo rolls .. we complain and was told oh we are under staffed .. bar didn’t have vodkas or wines or some beers .. wwe were told our manager didn’t place the order .. totally disappointed and won’t be returning again to this un pleasant so called pub

It is 5 star not because it is exceptional food or atmosphere but because it is just all-around value for money. Quick, friendly, and helpful staff.

Ordered a small breakfast and a Vegan breakfast , when arrived a large breakfast and small breakfast came , then waited a further 2o mins for breakfast 🤨, and to top it off they charged us for the large and small which was more expensive, and asked for management and never came over to apologise! Even though thr young man got it wrong when Ordered he was all on his own and no-one came to help him

Good service, quicker if you pay on the app. There's the normal great Wetherspoons menu with has something for everyone.

Spoons is Spoons, big pub with a large garden and plenty of seats inside and out. Beers is cheap and the food is reasonably priced, but you know what you're getting. Food was served quickly and was hot n tasty. 5 of us all cleared our plates, so it wasn't that bad and we all had different meals. Mixed grill, BBQ smothered chicken, Spicy chicken strips in a basket, ham egg and chips and a vegetarian curry.

Very reasonable price food. Very prompt service with food to table. I liked my food and my friend's food was of good quality. It was a good atmosphere, busy and obviously popular.

Attitude.. the Female staff have an attitude problem, and it stinks. If they have any hope of gaining employment in the big wide world after Uni then I suggest they drop it. Sharpish..

A very friendly pub and service was excellent as it was extremely busy, being the airshow weekend. Didn't think it was necessary though for staff to be throwing empty glass bottles into the bins rather than placing them in the bins for recycling. Made me jump more than once. Totally uncalled for.

I was visiting Eastbourne for the first time, although this was not my first Wetherspoons meal...indeed this was my 200th different pub in the chain I had visited. For a landmark visit the pub itself was distinctively average and the food was disappointing. I ordered the sirloin steak with side salad and peppercorn sauce. The steak looked fine but was rather tough and not tender, and the sauce, whilst tasting fine, was completely void of any peppercorns and was more like a peppery gravy than a true peppercorn sauce. The pint of Leffe redeemed the meal and made it overall reasonable value. Service was relatively speedy and functional, nobody came to check if the food was okay etc. Overall it merits a 3-star score at most.

Payment on the app no longer works (used to be simple with Google Pay). This seems to lead to really long (and unnecessary) queues at the bar, and the staff are overwhelmed.

To bright inside, table a little bit sticky but overall lovely, and delicious drinks

This place has vastly improved since we were here last. Good food, helpful staff and a guest ale which only cost £2.97 a pint. The coffee is a strong one, so it's got "guts", flavour and character to it. Refills of coffee were free, I believe.

Just went in for a Shandy. Very busy. But then I go in every Wetherspoons I can find. Usually only have coffee though

Great breakfast and good service

Lovely lively venue, with friendly staff. Our meals were excellent and great value. My husband had the gourmet beef which was tender and tasty and I had the Jalfrazi which was delicious.

Not one of the best Wetherspoons I've visited. Still great value food and drinks. Always busy, and despite its large size, you can't always find a seat. The building has little to show its past life as the Cornfield garage other than a few pics on the wall, unlike some other Wetherspoons I've been to that really seem to celebrate the buildings past.
