Costa Coffee in Brighton and Hove

Used "to good to go", app. £3 surprise bag from this store contained 3 little cakes. I know it's a surprise bag, however, the contents where surprisingly skimpish.

Staff always helpful and friendly. Shame they don’t have newspapers any more. Used to before Covid and I assume that’s why they don’t now.

They were not busy at the time but as I have seen how busy they can get it shows how well they all do under pressure, great food and drinks I got a frappe and my friend got a brownie and both were delicious, well done!

The manager and staff here are welcoming and friendly, and so there is a real "locals" atmosphere here which is nice to walk in to, and it is nice to be recognised and have them know what you want before you ask. The coffee and food etc. is as you would expect - it's Costa. I used to go to Caffe Nero round the corner on Church Street but after 15 years of the staff not recognising me I gave up; it's a much nicer room than Costa and it faces into the sun, but the staff always look utterly miserable, never recognised me, and half the time they say the washing machine is broken and so charge £3.60 for a coffee in a paper cup. Not the staff's fault I'm sure, but the regional manager needs a kick up the behind.

Really nice coffee made by the lady today, would definitely come back if all coffee was or is like this, useful for a stop off time during a time in town too.

Nice coffee here and thanks to the lady who did it, wonderful stuff and a few moments to stop off while out shopping. Would be coming back here at some point in the future too.

Super friendly staff that make this place a pleasure to visit.

I was visiting from Canada back in October, loved the gingerbread hot drink and other treats. My greatest sorrow, which was a love story not meant to be. But I searched in every location I came across, for the Maple drink that had been advertised everywhere. Tragically I could never find it and thus left back to Canada without being able to try it. Wishing the product had been supplied more to the cafe's. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to grab a drink and a treat.

As Costa branches go, the staff here were the most welcoming and kind I'd ever experienced. I go to a lot of coffee chains on my travels and this was a very nice experience compared to most.

What an absolute fantastic costa store. The manager and staff are so friendly and welcoming it's a pleasure to go into this costa. I've used this store everyday for the past three weeks, and everyday the service is the same, I am greeted with a cheery hello and smile, and the staff engage with you which is so nice. I've been in quite a few costa stores and this is by far my favourite one

A while back I ordered a drink with soya milk and the lady barista asked me if it was an allergy or a preference and guided me on my order as it was an allergy. She over looked it being prepared and I wish I got her name to give personal praise. More staff need to do this in every costa. So many times I've forgotten to mention its an allergy. Thank goodness its not a life threatening one.

Last refurbishment replaced comfortable chairs with cheap spartan ones. Best table position in the window now used as a furniture store.

I went here after a long gap just to see if the coffee was still dreadful. It was a little better, not much. Their coffee is so weak. Particularly in this branch. Others are better. Sitting in there was nice enough. They have lots of cakes and sweet things. It's just okay. 🙋🏻‍♀️

Nice establishment and a quick and easy place to get a quick coffee on the go.. Area clean tidy and toilets spotless which surprised me for being mid way through the day.. Nice to grab a bite to eat and coffee in a relaxed place.

Calumn at the George Street branch was amazing today. I had issues with transferring my costa points from my reward card onto the Costa App. All previous requests to other staff in Hove & Brighton i found unable or unwilling to help. I emailed Costa Customer service twice but no response. Calumn checked with his manager & had it sorted in 5 mins Nothing too much trouble for him.

So good, go here like every week or so

I’ve been to this Costa Coffee before in Hove and the seating area looks a lot smaller than the Brighton branches however during the weekdays it’s good to grab a quick bite especially if you’re on your break during your work shift even if it gets quieter than the weekends. Overall I would rate this branch 5 stars and a solid 8 out of 10. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Love it! Great atmosphere. Only disappointment, there were customers sitting near the door smoking and the wind was bringing it in. When I asked the gentleman working to please ask them to move because I'm pretty sure there's a law they can't smoke this close to the restaurant, he went to ask his manager and they said they couldn't ask them to move because they don't think such a law existed and that they're customers. So they offered to close one door.... The law : Smokers must be greater than 20 feet from a public building's entrances or operable windows while in the act of smoking.

Small place, but the queueing was fast and the food was served quickly. As good as all of the other costas

Comfy place for coffee on a pedestrian street in Hove all the usual cakes and hot drinks available, one way system and covid safety measures adhered to.

Quite busy but service is always quick and friendly. Sandwiches are not good value for money, hardly any filling but coffee is always great quality

Poor but very typical of all Costa shops and in fact any of the giant chain coffee shops. Overpriced and poor quality coffees. They seem to have their regulars though. I prefer a smaller independent shop. I won't be back.

I often pop in here for coffee and it's very hot and miss. It seems to always be busy and that's good. The service though is ?? Sometimes it's quick friendly expert service and other times you stand there waiting thinking what are they doing. Chaos! Still though I come back because I like the coffee it's convenient and the bad times are rare. One thing I would say is it just seems to always look untidy, unclear tables etc but it's busy and that has to mean something.

Always a great coffee and atmosphere

Nice staff, but my partner asked for a hot chocolate with cream, marshmallows and a flake. Every other Costa I've been too they have put the marshmallows on top then the flake in. When I asked where the marshmallows and flake were the lady said it was in the hot chocolate. Didn't really expect it to already be melted in the drink. A bit of a let down.

I don't love Costa coffee. But they don't always get the coffee right.

Lovely, cosy coffee shop in busy shopping street. When you need a bit of break and your portion of caffeine 🤟 There is quite busy, depend what time you go in there, staff is friendly and do their best. Seating indoor/ outside few tables.

Hove actually anyway very calm staff as my friends little girl screamed for a "pink sparkling drink" who h we eventually worked out which one.

The service took sometime. Very nice staff but it was very noisy what with the coffee maker and customers talking out loud and children screaming. There was not enough room on the table to read the newspaper particularly if you had a friend with you
