Cote Brasserie - Soho in City of London, Westminster

our desert never came on new years eve. over an hour and could not put ice cream in a dish. It was so hot in there, we just wanted to pay...that took 40 min

Very busy, good job we booked. Friendly helpful service, very efficient. Tasty food well presented and cooked. had the French onion soup which was very good. We were sat behind a pillar of an archway which felt a bit draughty and exposed as lots of people were walking by.

We visited during the Christmas period and had a fabulous evening. Being a vegetarian, I found that they had a nice choice of options and they also lived up to standard as my food was delicious! The service was impeccable - a special mention to Gurpreet who served us and went over and beyond - a true asset to their team. I will definitely be going back and cannot recommend enough!

No tables, no waitlist, and no respect didn’t even tell us if we wanted to wait a bit for a table we asked,

Staff were excellent. But the portions are way too small - we were left hungry. The prices aren't cheap so we would expect a decent portion. Or at least give out some bread like they do in France!

Worst dining experience, The staff are horrible both in soho and marylebone Very racists towards muslims and dont want to serve us I’ve faced 2 encounters one in marylebone with a bushy-haired guy which left us in the middle of us talking to him. And the other in soho branch with the reception guy who lied to us about finding an available table even though inside was empty and i booked a table directly.. in the same branch the serving lady directly asked us are we here for lunch or “creme caramel”…. In a very judgy way just because we were wearing hijabs!

Lovely staff at this branch of Cote and it is a convenient place as bookable. However - and this goes for Cote and other chains generally - I'm fed up with salty 'ready meal' type food with so much pre-prepared off-site and all a bit ultra processed. The wine is not good either. I need to find some affordable independents in Soho that don't have massive queues outside! So this Cote scores there, and the staff here really upgrade the overall experience. It would be a bit of a grotty Cote otherwise. The food is usual Cote standard its just a standard I've really gone off. Perhaps it's just me.

Lovely spot! Nice offering of food and drinks. Went for a special occasion before going to les miserables theatre show which is less than 5 minutes aways walking. Great atmosphere and in the hearth of soho.

A fabulous cosy French brasserie in the heart of Soho. Although this is a chain restaurant the quality of food and service is always good. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. We booked our team Christmas lunch there and it was absolutely worth it!

I was in charge of arranging our work team Christmas meal and It was seamless, right from the point of booking the table and arranging the food orders to us paying the bill. It couldn't of been simpler, and when there were changes I needed to make, the team were so accommodating, it didn't feel like an inconvenience to them at all. Of course the food was excellent, but the team is really what made the experience so amazing. Thank you!

Absolutely great food and service

Have not been to Cote for a few years. It was excellent with really friendly staff and exceptional food. The souffle was so lovely I wanted it again instead of a dessert. I didn't, but will back again very soon to have another one.

I booked for family Christmas gathering on Sunday for a large group of us. Quite a few of us decided to order the Sunday roast option and for £54 we expected it to be good. Our order took a very long time and when it arrived the Sunday roast was missing key items listed on the menu. It was only when we complained that the host told us that the kitchen didn't have Yorkshire puddings or the Cauliflower cheese (best parts of a sunday roast) instead we were offered replacement items that didn't really cut it in my opinion. For the price I would have expected to be told about this before we ordered but sadly not and despite the mishap the restaurant didn't even offer to discount the bill. Disappointing really.

We went because of the delicious cream caramel, but they took an hour to come and take our order, and they came and were late. We passed it on, so that they would give us the account so that I would not repeat the visit.

Nice atmosphere, the decor is also nice. But what disappointed us a lot was the waiting time. We had to wait at least 30 minutes for apple juice and other things and 40 minutes for our dishes, which is a real shame. I was hoping it would be worth it but not even that is anything special.

Very busy service but the team seemed to be copying quite well. Food was a bit dry (main, salmon) but quite enjoyable nevertheless.

Really enjoyed our recent team Christmas lunch here. Nuhad and her team did a great job of looking after us, despite the restaurant being completely full. Service was prompt and the dishes tasty. It was decent value overall - we will likely be back in following years. Just need to provide crackers!

We managed to obtain a table as the establishment was busy. The restaurant offered a wide & varied selection on the menu. Food arrived relatively quickly (after ordering). Food prices were reasonable based on it's location

Just dropped in for a bite to eat and it’s December so it was busy, we were sat in the basement as overflow which was fine but no music at all very dull, ordered 2 kids burgers when they arrived one burger patty had been cut in half and used over the 2 hamburgers ? Never seen this before thought it was cheap, the price was really low so I get it but increase the price a little and use a whole patty please

We had a wonderful time, celebrating our birthday. Juliana, our waiter was very caring and made our experience even greater. The food was excellent as well.

During a recent outing in Soho with my children, we took in the festive Christmas lights, but soon found ourselves in search of a meal. Given my children's gluten intolerance and allergies, we were eager to find gluten-free dining options. While many restaurants advertise gluten-free menus, we quickly discovered that over 99% share kitchen space, leading to potential cross-contamination. However, we were pleased to find a few exceptions, one of which is Côte Brasserie. Côte Brasserie stands out with its dedicated kitchen for gluten and celiac-friendly dishes. We indulged in a selection of delectable starters and cocktails, and the starters were so irresistible that we forgot to take photos before they disappeared! For our main courses, we opted for chicken, a burger, and fish, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the whole table. Stopped in for lunch after a walk around SoHo. The atmosphere was just right, the staff was very nice and accommodating and the food was delicious! I had the fougasse for a starter and the Panfried Salmon Béarnaise, all of which was yum yum and the price was reasonable! (I meant to take the pic BEFORE I started eating, sorry! 😊).

We had a lovely meal before going to the theatre. Despite being pressed for time, our waitress Chandana provided fantastic service so much so that we even managed to squeeze two courses in.

Worst customer service I’ve had in London. Desserts were good. Coffee was average with no milk options.

I have to say sorry about the service tonight in Côte so the food wasn’t hot enough. I did complain and they took it back to the chef. It came back still Not hot enough I have a steak and chips and you know steak don’t test good if it’s not hot enough the new manager she wasn’t great 👎🏿 Côte fix it.

Went there for a pre-theatre dinner on November 16. The service was fantastic - quick, attentive and helpful. The food was excellent.

We had lunch in this restaurant, we had a Burger and fries. Burger where you risk choking with so little sauce, cheese bordering on non-existent, frozen fries in small quantities, Steak with an infamous taste with a stinking smell and far from being a chopped steak. Supposedly a French restaurant but French only has the name. Shame to pay so much for more than mediocre quality!!!!!

We knew the food and service would be good but we were on a schedule to get to a Memorial event and they pulled out the stops and served us rapidly.

Came here for brunch with my partner. The Côte breakfast deal is really good. You get a breakfast, hot drink and juice for a reasonable price around £16. I didn’t get the gentlemen’s name who served us. He was incredibly sweet and had a keen eye for attention to detail. He offered to charge my partners phone. Really he made the visit.

My friend and I quite often choose Cote for lunch when we go to London for the theatre. This is because they have a good gluten free menu and seem to take care to avoid cross contamination. The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty. Côte Soho did not disappoint and the service was efficient and friendly.

Food was tasty but seemed pre-prepared and reheated... a bit dry (tried the boef bourgingon and duck). Had better food experience in sister Cote restaurants . Not bad, but not great either.

Service was very pleasant but a bit slow.

Considering the staff were run off their feet.. everything took twice as long as it should. The food was of good quality and tasty and the servicing staff were doing their best..

This restaurant is located in the middle of Soho, expect plenty of people. Inside of it looks good, cozy and you feel welcome. Three waiters worked our table, two of them were neutral and calm. The third one was the most stressful and rude I had seen in London. I understand you have no patience, but you can't let your emotions take over. This is part of my review. Finally the food, I had the sirloin which was underseasoned and too rare. The beef bourginion was pretty good. You can find better restaurants for the same price and experience.

Welcoming and warm service but also knowledgable about the menu and wine. Theo and Pete especially! We had a great family time and the food was good.

We went in as a walk in at half past 6 on a Saturday when soho was very busy, we were sat down straight away by the host who was a very helpful and polite man. We were served by Pete who was absolutely amazing. He was really chatty and knowledgeable and really made our evening! The food was also great, we got calamari and the côte de boeuf to share with greens as the side.

Great restaurant. My steak was under cooked but they sorted it and brought everything out fresh

I love this restaurant chain, I often go there with my family and friends, but the service that was on Friday at the restaurant in Soho leaves much to be desired. Sluggish staff and a long wait, although the seating was not full. The restaurant manager served me partly. I was celebrating a birthday, a friend gave me flowers, I asked to bring water for them myself, because no one offered. The waiter brought water with ice. I asked to change it, he brought a bucket without water. And only on the third time he brought regular water. I also suspect that the bill indicated the wrong number of glasses of wine, more than necessary, but, unfortunately, this cannot be proven because no one offered me a receipt after payment.

Excellent place for dinner. The dishes on the menu are wonderful and so are the drinks. The atmosphere is very good. 100% recommended.

The teams were very accommodating for a large group and very friendly.

We were on our way to the theatre and our train was cancelled so we were running a bit late but our server made sure we got everything in time. All the staff were lovely. I managed to leave my handbag and when I ran back 5 minutes later they'd already put it away safely awaiting my return. We really did have a lovely meal and time.

I visited Cote in Soho a few days ago,my boyfriend wanted us to come for a few drinks. We had some bubbly and the house white wine,which were really lovely and good value for money. The staff were attentive and helpful, particularly Laura who was amazing! Said one of the waiters,very sweet and looked after us. Next time we'll definitely try some of the dishes. Atmosphere was nice, not too busy and you could hear yourself speaking.

The place is nice and quiet. The manager of this branch is a wonderful and elegant person in dealing. I went to try the cream caramel and it turned out really delicious. I returned it a second time because of the cream caramel.

Would not recommend this branch. Booked a dinner reservation for my mum’s birthday before a theatre show and the service team took 90 minutes to bring out 2 courses. One drink arrived after 20 minutes and having to remind our server and starter plates were cleared over 20 minutes after finishing. The tables around us received similar disappointing service, with one advising they’ll never visit again and my family and I agree. In all, slow service, inattentive service team, food was lukewarm or incorrect and made our family late for our theatre show.

My friend and I have been Cote regulars for years, but never have much luck with this branch. Booked 5pm table before a film screening. Baking hot day, looking forward to sitting in a cool air con restaurant. Arrived and no air con, place was baking hot. I asked our lovely waiter(the only reason I gave any stars) if it could be turned on. I had to ask the Manager, possibly the most ungracious, rude man it's been my misfortune to meet. He said he would, but had to make drinks so we would have to wait, surely you turn on a switch? How long does that take? 30 mins later no air con. I asked again, he said patronisingly that it took a while to work.It doesn't.It takes minutes. Our main arrived after asking again for it, 50 mins after our starter and we had 10 minutes before our film started so gulped it down. Both meals had clearly been forgotten and left on the pass as my chicken was so dry it crumbled. 3rd time in this branch, never again. Avoid.

I go to Côte Brasserie a lot with my family as it is one of our favourite resturants with great atmosphere, food and service. However, today we attended with a family member we hadn’t seen in a long time and were not greeted with the same, usual comfort and service. We had pre booked for 12:30 and ordered shortly after arriving but our food took an hour to come to the table which was unusual as the Resturant was very quiet with only 2 other tables. The food itself was 10/10 but let down by the long wait for our food, (especially it being 2 salads and a chicken and chips).

Food was brilliant. A large gluten free menu aswell, with staff who served fantastically. Service and speed was top level, and couldn't recommend any higher. Only a slight delay for the desserts but apart from that AMAZING 🤩. Would definitely recommend the Sirloin Steak. Absolutely brilliant!!!

A regular visitor to this restaurant speaks for itself. However, my last visit two days ago was rather disappointing as the service was so slow. The standard of the food was good, but the waiting times for each course were very disappointing. The waitress acknowledged the long delay and offered us a reduction in the bill. Please don't spoil your standards by exceedingly long waiting times.

We loved it here. Our family wanted to avoid going to the same place twice while visiting London, but we had to go back to this amazing place for breakfast.

Absolutely amazing place, couldn’t be more happier, highly recommend. Food was incredible & service was fast and staff were great! Went for dinner on a summer Saturday - service was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly, and the food was delicious and clearly made with care. I had the trout, which was well-cooked and used a genuinely interesting combination of flavours; my friend had the poulet rôti along with some truffled fries, which was buttery and flavourful. Madeleines for dessert were an excellent conclusion to the meal. If I'm in the neighbourhood again I can't imagine a better reasonably-priced dinner.

I went with my gf to make use of a gift voucher. As such we splashed out a little...the medium-well done steak was pretty average/fresh for me, even with the steal sauce. I had an Espresso Martini ...maybe I wasn't properly in the mood for it..but it tasted like a bitter coffee 😕... My gf seemed to enjoy the steak that we shared

I was super hungry so I thought I would go to Cote's for lunch I ordered a One minute steak with fries. When it arrived I thought I had ordered a starter by mistake but no. The portion control in this particular branch was nothing short than laughable. The steak was small and very thin and the portion of fries about the same as a small portion of McDonald's chips. Taste wise very good and quality of the food very good but sadly portion wise a letdown. The wine was excellent but not enough to take me back to eat.

Cute place but super slow service. My chicken portion was very small and i left hungry.

Another 20 mins for waiting for bread and chicken liver!!! We watched a table behind us be cleared and set and new guests sit order AND receive their food before us. Our drinks were meh. Beer was warm and Bloody Mary was terrible I actually asked for Tabasco at the table to give it some kick. We then waited. At this point!!! After receiving our drinks we still weren't offered any water. No cutlery on the table no napkins. Eventually after watching the staff run around but not actually doing anything - seeing phones in back pockets and staff carrying handfuls of cutlery in their hands on not on a tray and yet again another table receiving their food before us. We got up and walked out. Talking to who l think was the manager at the door. He seemed totally uninterested and didn't care. We explained that we had waited for so long and watched another table sit and order and eat. We both said we used to work here and we were so sad to see how the standards have fallen. He didn't seem apologetic or even tried to convince us to stay and push our food. Just so so so sad. We definitely will not be coming back to this cote ever again and would not recommend it. We might try another one one day to see if the service is uniformed. But I really hope not!!!! This needs to be actioned upon. Staff make it. Lovely welcome and fab food.

One of our favourite Cote branches we had an enjoyable Saturday dinner here. Service is friendly and relaxed and the there was a good atmosphere. We had 2 courses each, the standouts were a crab starter and the seafood stew. Food is always consistent and whilst it is not going to wow though what it does it does well. We had a couple of glasses of champagne and a decent Cote du Rhone and finished with 2 coffees and a Calvados. The damage for 2 including service £125. For a decent meal you will be hard pressed to find somewhere offering similar good value in Soho.

I think the word in French is just 'non'.

Amazing place to eat while in Soho. We started with Gluten free salad with croutons & French onion soup both followed by Duck a l’orange, all beautiful. Good friendly and professional service from the minute we arrived, slightly noisy drinks delivery being bumped down the restaurant stairs but generally really good!

Superb - I told serving staff I was in no rush and they allowed me to be leisurely. One niggle not in your control - there was a cellar delivery and it was like listening to pile driving for about 20 minutes.

Although we know cote we hadn’t had this menu for awhile (we normally eat on the price fix version because we’re cheapskates) we were in London on a demonstration March so wanted somewhere with good food to rest in Soho afterwards. Pete was fantastic, polite, attentive, respectful and knowledgeable.

Another amazing experience in the heart of London unmissable food and exceptional service from Syed and the entire team at Cote Wardour Street Soho. I have been coming for years to Cote but it is time I leave a Review! Also the food was delicious the Fish parimeter and fried salmon and Syed recommmemded the perfect white wine to accompany it 👌 we are coming back again for brunch and next time we are bringing friends 🥂

They have the best creme caramel

Had a wonderful fixed price 2 course meal. My friend chose a starter & main meal and I chose main meal and dessert. The restaurant didn't mind at all that we shared the starter and dessert. I had the chicken with the mushroom, Tarragon & garlic sauce as my main. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was just amazing.
