As an Italian teacher, I have organised many school trips here with our students. They absolutely love it. Franco, the chef, is brilliant with them, he speaks in Italian explaining how the pizzas are made and guides them through the process of making their own pizza. After choosing from the vast array of different toppings, Franco puts their pizza in the oven and then they get to eat it afterwards. As an Italian teacher having lived in Italy, I can honestly say that Double Zero pizzas are the best pizzas in Manchester. The pizza dough is authentically Italian and without speaking out of turn, I would say their pizzas are better than in Italy because instead of the standard choice of toppings, they are creative and inventive - the miele sizzler is my all time favourite (a pizza you'd never see on a menu in Italy!) The staff are so welcoming and can't do enough to help the students enjoy their experience. We love that we can come here with the students to bring what they are learning in the classroom to life.

Simply the best pizzas in Manchester, maybe even the best in the UK!!! Fast, efficient service. Delicious pizzas and the price is normal. I recommend it to friends and family

Had a fairly average experience here went for a friends birthday the food was nice. But personally the service wasn’t the best pretty slow took a while for food to come out then we got our starters before we got our mains. One thing I didn’t appreciate was when I was mid eating one of my starters the waitress actually took my plate away got me to hold the last garlic bread I had so she could take the plate away.

There's a high competition in Manchester for real Italian pizza, double zero has the potential to be one of the best pizzeria but after having tried it for three times I have to say that the cooking can be improved as the crust was always left s bit raw and it was hard to digest afterwards making you feel really thirsty. Other than that the taste was good.

Manchester's finest pizza establishment has, regrettably, experienced a significant decline in service quality. It appears that Deliveroo orders are now prioritized over dine-in customers. During two recent visits, we encountered unacceptable delays. On one occasion, there was a 45-minute wait for pizzas following the starters, while numerous pizzas were concurrently collected for delivery. The subsequent visit involved a 10-minute interval between the first and second starters, followed by a 30-minute wait for the remaining starters. While the restaurant graciously removed the delayed starters from the bill, this gesture is insufficient to rectify the situation. Given these service issues, despite the high quality of the food, we will not be returning.

I visited this restaurant on Saturday with a friend who has allergies, and we had a fantastic experience! Prior to our visit, we emailed to inquire about allergens and received a very detailed and helpful response, which already set a positive tone. When we arrived, the person who welcomed us was already aware of the allergies, so we didn’t even need to bring it up again – a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly cared for. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our visit. It’s clear that this restaurant goes above and beyond for its customers. Highly recommend for anyone, especially those with dietary restrictions

Great to eat in Takeaway from here is really not great. My order tonight was totally cold, items are not bagged up and in with other people deliveroo order which is really unnerving for allergies. The tiramisu was basically just tiramisu moose , one small harder biscuit on top, 2 raspberries and one small bit of sponge . Just a rip off really for the price . Meatballs cold, the bread with them not nice as also cold, and just didn't seem to go with the meatballs ( maybe because it's so cold. Had the veg platter from here before , and although it's great the soggy burschetta that's been loaded with the tomato etc is such a let down and easily avoided . It's just unedible soggy Flavours are good just wouldn't get delivery disappointment every single time

This pizza is second to none, I've tried plenty of well reviewed pizza places in MCR, London and Italy, it's genuinely superb - I don't go anywhere else now because I know it just won't be quite as good as Double Zero, the staff are cool and friendly too. 100% this place is worthy of its good reviews.

Double Zero is so good. The pizza is perfect—crispy crust, great toppings, just really tasty. Plus, you can bring your own alcohol, which is nice and saves money. Good food, chill atmosphere, and not paying extra for drinks. Love it.

Double Zero Chorlton is our go-to for pizza. Absolutely the best, most authentic Neapolitan style pizza in Manchester, and the staff are lovely too. Cannot recommend it highly enough, it's superb.

Two hour delivery time. Arrived freezing cold and thrown out after I found some kind of fish (anchovy?) in the pizza despite ordering only pepperoni and salami. Clearly no cross-contamination procedure here. If you have allergies, BEWARE.

Food was immense. Clearly top quality ingredients and standards. The staff are really friendly but it seemed some of the staff seemed to be doing a lot and other staff looking busy when actually doing little, which affected service.

Visited here twice and love each pizza they make with so much patience and love. Not only the pizza, but even their antipasti and salads are fab. Do you know you can get your own booze? Yes, you only pay a cover charge of £1.99 pp and can get your own alcohol and enjoy the food here. You can't get any soft drinks from out though, you need to buy them from the restaurant. They bake sourdough pizzas which are cooked in 90 seconds. The toppings are fresh and don't forget to drizzle some lip smacking hot chilly oil on top. We tried their meatballs and garlic bread which was again a hit. The ambience is subtle and service can be a bit slow as they are always busy.

The best Pizzas I've tasted anywhere including Naples in Italy. The double zero caputo flour makes all the difference. Unbelievable that it's cheaper than Pizza Hut and suchlike.

Unforgettable pizza – absolutely to die for! I'll be back for that alone. The spritzes were also great, refreshing, and well-balanced. However, the service was lacking. Our server was polite, but she was rarely around. It was hard to flag anyone down for attention to order extra drinks.

Double Zero is my absolute favourite pizza place. Not only are the pizzas incredibly light with the right amount of delicious and fresh toppings, but the staff is always so accommodating and attentive. I remember my very first visit and how amazed I was. Since then, Double Zero has become my addiction that I'm not planning on curing.

Great atmosphere the pizza is really good also the antipasto was nice the waiter brought the antipasto with a few slice of focaccia we asked to another waiter which kindly brought a whole focaccia! We will definitely come back. Thank you for bringing some authentic pizza to Manchester for us that we miss home.

What a fab authentic taste of Italy. If you like Pizza this is as good as it gets with fresh quality ingredients. The manger Ben is so helpful and friendly and made our meal that extra bit special so thanks to him. Good to find a byob place as well as not so common nowadays.

Pizza is amazing The platters they need to not load the breads for takeaway , turns the bruschetta into mush ! Need to sort out the olives with almond, there's one olive that super salty , the rest taste so so bland! Really no flavour Tiramisu is great but needs more fruit then the raspberry really makes it as it's so rich but for takeaway anyway you only get one Service is always great eating in

Where do I start …. If you want to eat authentic napolitan pizza then Double 00 is the place to be, both chefs are from Naples and cook your pizzas with passion and love, all the ingredients are fresh and the pizza literally only takes a few minutes to cook, it’s definitely the place to enjoy a family meal with loved ones, trust me as I’ve been going then from when they first opened, I have plenty of memories there with family, it was my mothers favourite place to eat, unfortunately she has passed away and every time we go it brings back many memories, I take many friends there too and they too take their families too, apart from the pizza they do delicious side dishes, Italian meat balls in sauce are a must, the desserts are to die for too especially the Nutella pizza

Went for a birthday meal and the food and service was really nice. Shout out Vanessa who served our table and recommended some pizzas off the menu aswell.

The restaurant doesn't really know what vegetarian means as everything marked vegetarian wasn't vegetarian. Even garlic bread had parmesan, which wasn't vegetarian. This was disclosed only on enquiry. The ambience was average, had breadcrumbs on the floor and the tables had sticky patches. The servers were nice.

Best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had!

Great gluten-free and vegan options. Staff cared about my dietary restrictions. Pizza with GF base and vegan cheese very tasty. Be aware that GF pizza is baked in the same oven as normal pizza. Highly recommend!

One of the best pizza in Great Manchester area. Wood fired Neapolitan pizza, with a perfectly cooked crunch boards and soft dough. Great selection of toppings, some of them definitely to be tried such as figs and honey. Service is a little bit slow but place is crazy busy all week round so can’t complain too much. Highly recommended 🔝

The service is amazing here, although the actual restaurant can get a bit hot(it was a sunny day in England for once) I suggest if it’s hot trying to get an outside table and also I suggest going later in the evening this place does get very busy. Food it’s self was good, some of the pizzas seem abit over the top (too many toppings) but overall yum.

Lovely tasty sourdough wood fired pizzas in the centre of Manchester. Food tasty, fresh and cooked to order. More attention to detail needed with order taking for special requirements/requests, and no checks after mains were delivered to see if food was okay. Garlic bread with cheese tasty. Food reasonably priced. No blue light discount.

Recently visited the City Centre branch and I must say that it does live up to the high standards set by their other venue in Chorlton! Still the best pizza in town. We had a reservation on a Friday night and the atmosphere was great. Brilliant music, the smell of fresh ingredients in the air, and spoilt for choice with the menu. The presentation of the food was thoughtful, the quality itself INCREDIBLE (I’d order every dish again!), and the staff were standout. Rumi in particular was excellent — really quick to offer drinks refills, smiley and helpful, and had a really approachable demeanour. We will for sure be back — thank you all x

Amazing food and service. Our server charlie made sure we had everything we needed. Love it when they bring over multiple water jugs for the table without asking; n that's exactly what we got. Couldn't recommend this spot highly enough. Beef arancini was gorg.

Still one of our favourite places to eat out in Chorlton. Authentic food, great choice of pizzas, friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. What's not to love!

This is a fantastic pizzeria, making authentic neopolitan pizzas with a variety of toppings. The pizzas are baked in a traditional italian oven that can be viewed from your table. It has a lovely outdoor seated area that is perfect for summer evenings. Another feature is the BYO! this definitely makes the cost of the evening easier on the pocket. We had a fantastic evening and would highly recommend it! The staff were efficient and friendly too.

Although restaurant closes at 10:00pm me and my friend went there at 08:30 although half of the restaurant was empty we were denied service , apparently they did not have enough staff to serve two more customers , I doubt that could be the reason , (never heard any restaurant giving this reason before )

We visited this restaurant last week for the first time after a recommendation. We managed to get a table at 8pm on a Thursday, despite not having a reservation. It was very busy and noisy but there was a good, casual atmosphere. We enjoyed our pizzas and meatball starter. Pizzas are nice and thin rather than doughy and are not too expensive. Staff are friendly. You can bring your own bottle for a small charge.

Amazing pizza, however, extremely slow service (over 30 mins to receive starters that were literally just cold cuts and preserved vegetables... and another 30 minutes after to receive mains) on a Sunday when we prebooked and were the first table seated and the restaurant was only half full. Considering how many delivery drivers were coming in and out, it was sad to see online orders being prioritised.

Really poor delivery experience tonight Not only was the order 35 mins late, but the vast majority of the order was all incorrect. I ordered a Miele Sizzler yet they gave me a Vegetarian pizza, I ordered two normal sprite yet they delivered no sugar sprite, ordered nduja dip and they didn’t give that either but a garlic one. Expected better due to reputation but won’t order again.

We had a fantastic family outing at Double Zero! The pizza was delicious with perfectly balanced flavors, and a friendly staff. Highly recommend

Amazing food! We booked a table for two and as soon as we talked in could see the restaurant was busy. Great service from staff, pizza arrived in no time. Can’t fault the food, was amazing pizza! Very full of toppings which was a bonus. I had the half pizza and half calzone which was a first but loved it! Only critique would be that it’s quite loud and hard to hear each other speak. Would definitely return but maybe during quieter hours. Apart from that lovely restaurant, great food and good staff.

Food was fantastic but a birthday meal with partner absolutely ruined by there being a large party of people in the tiny indoor space. We couldn't hear each other, the noise was absolutely overwhelming and made the whole experience one of discomfort. Shame as the actual pizzas and sides are excellent. Much better to visit this place during the quieter hours of the day. Or when there are no bookings over 6 people.

The best pizza in Manchester hands down

Excellent pizzas front and centre of 00s offering. Loads of choice and genuine Italian toppings (apart from chorizo what's that doing there?) - nduja, fennel sausage, hot honey superb. Well priced, and starters even better value, arancini being the standout - 3 for £6 insane. We had a delay on mains as it was busy on a Saturday and all walk-ins were politely turned away, but staff genuinely apologetic and did more than just say sorry. Truly worth all of its high praise, of the dozen or so side by side eateries here 00 was by far the busiest.

Just a disappointment really. Heard great things. Got a takeaway. It was basically not cooked. Soggy and careless and we had to finish cooking them in our own oven. TBF they were pretty busy. I’ll try again in a few weeks and up the stars if any better. Edit: I’ve been a couple of times since with family, to eat in, and it’s been good. Increasing to four stars.

The BEST pizza I have ever had in a UK restaurant. Dough is to die for. The toppings were plentiful and fresh but not an overloaded. Can’t recommend this place enough. It is a smaller venue so it was a little noisy inside but can’t be helped.

What a waste of money. Been going her for a while but won't be back. Food sent back twice for being cold, third time warm not hot. Barely an apology. Oh well off to find another pizza place.
