Ordered the chip butty it was dry chips on 2 pieces of dry sourdough with no butter? If you can’t make a chip butty take it off the menu. Ended up dumping it and going across the way to get triple cook chips which were amazing.

If you’re in the mood for fish then this is the place to be! Enjoyable food. Great for a casual dinner out. Atmosphere: Buzzing atmosphere. A little bit of a tourist vibe with too many tables squashed in but that is to be expected when visiting borough market Food: Sourdough and butter: Nice for the table Fish soup starter: This was nice but not stand out. Probably wouldn’t order again but was pleasant. Thai fish cake: Friend really enjoyed these Cod and chips: Very nice. Good mushy peas. Salmon: nicely cooked Soft crab bun: Lots of flavour and juicy. Sticky toffee pudding: Sauce was way too runny on this. The sponge was very soft which I liked. However did just seem like it had been thrown in a microwave. Came incredibly quickly. I wouldn’t order next time as didn’t feel fresh.

First time visiting the UK and had to try the so called famous fish and chips. Tasteless blunt, only taste the beer nothing else. Quite expensive for such terrible food. Good service though

The line was long, but it moved relatively quickly. Food was good. If you order ToGo, you have to eat standing up, there doesn't seem to be any seating nearby. Recommended.

Wonderful experience: we arrived early at opening. Great starters, wine, Espresso martini, generous fish and chips, black coconut ice cream. Relaxed atmosphere. Our waiter Jovani was super friendly and efficient!!!

Very good fish and chips located in the borough market, we found the portion huge so we shared it between two people. The fish had great flavor, the breading was crispy and the fries were excellent. We will return on our next trip to London.

Was here for some fish and chips at their takeaway kiosk. Had a terribly long queue, but was fast moving. They had a number of fishes to choose from. Ordered Hake and it was fresh and tasted good. Large portions. Service was quick.

Disappointing. We ordered grilled octopus and fish and chips. The octopus was way too salty, and the portion was really insufficient for a 26 pound dish. The fish and chips were ok, but nothing exceptional. I left the restaurant still hungry, which is unacceptable given the prices. I don't recommend.

I used to come here and the fish and chips were delicious. Yesterday the fish was ok but the chips were hard and overcooked, the worst I have eaten in a while. I couldn't finish them. When the waiter asked if all had been ok I told him so he offered more...the last thing I wanted. My friends bubble and squeak and smoked haddock was delicious. Lovely service and nice atmosphere but don't come here for nice chips.

Tastes ok, but extremely rude staffs. I got my 4 pounds change with all 20 pence coins. She said this is all they had, but obviously not true. Maybe only for Asian tourists?! Very offensive. At 1:00pm no cod, no hailbut.

Everything was delicious. Fish pie, scallops, fish and chips, salmon, soft shelled crab sandwich. We did not need a reservation as the restaurant is quite large. Friendly and attentive staff. I will be dreaming of the sticky toffee Christmas pudding and basque cheesecake for years to come.

Tried their mussels in Thai curry and cod fish and chips. They were so fresh, makes me think all other mussels and fish I’ve eaten before were all rubber pieces. Great service and atmosphere too.

I went to the famous fish and chops with my uncle and ate there. Instead of eating at the restaurant, I ordered it from a takeout shop next door. Handdog because there is no Cod? I ate this one and it was crispy and delicious! There is salt and ketchup on the table next to the store, so be sure to sprinkle it on before eating. I visited around 15:30 on Monday, but there were a lot of people at Borough Market, so please keep that in mind!

Very very overpriced and the fish has no flavor. The chips or fries are also nasty. I do not recommend. There is no where to sit and the queue is long. The fish looks pretty and that's it!

Came for the fish and chips and they did not disappoint. Batter was done well and maximum crisp. Tried the lobster as well, it was so fresh and the meat was juicy and tender, slathered with a generous portion of melted garlic butter. 😋 definitely worth coming back again!

We risked a return - food pretty poor - £23.50 for cod and included 8 beshevilled chips and a thimble of mushy peas - wife had £36.50 grilled halibut inc seasonal veg and lettuce. Thai fish cakes are vile. £5 for a Coca Cola, no skinny milk for a latte - really poor.

Very nice meal, my friend had halibut special & I had scallops, which came wrapped in bacon with coral attached. Didn't want large pudding, so I asked the server if I could have 1 scoop of ice-cream with a shot of amaretto, not a problem.

Set within the Borough Market, the place is buzzing with people, the food is not overly complicated to order, however expect to be charged for everything and be given the wrong things. The chips are standard, fish is 'OK'. I would avoid and go for a local traditional Fish and Chips shop.

I had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the haddock fish and chips. It was delicious! I also appreciated the great atmosphere and their impressively quick service.

We were very pleased with the dishes we said. Only the service speed point may be a question mark. The taste and portion of fish and chips are really successful. It was a dish I ate wondering what it could be, but the flavor and outer coating of the fish were really successful.

The food was very mediocre, which was disappointing, considering the location and the ambiance that they present inside the restaurant. Service was quick, but insincere. The kind of service where you feel like they’re trying to flip your table as fast as possible. Not worth the price.

There is also a food truck next to the store, and it sells tartar sauce. They said they wouldn’t give it to me so I came to the store haha. I liked that the store was clean Please charge my phone too. It tastes just like fried fish.

Visited Fish during my recent trip to London because it was so highly rated for their fish and chips and it did not disappoint. We ordered the haddock fish and chips and the fish pie. The portions are very generous, the haddock was cooked perfectly, and the fish pie was so rich! Service was also quick. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the Borough Market area.

Great resturant best haddocknive had for long time Samphire starting to get slightly stringy but it's that time of year! The wife's Smoked haddock was great can taste the freshness in the fish had a beer and bottle of Italian rose nice but wine prices a bit inflated but then again it's central!

Quite disappointing.... Let’s just say the soft-shell crab bun was below expectations. (around 20 pounds with chips so not cheap!) The menu had 12.5% discretionary service is applicable but they gave me the check with 13.5% service charge The waiters were friendly and that’s the only positive thing from my visit.

What an enchanting evening at Fish! My father and I came for a meal and we absolutely loved it. We were looked after by the amazing Florin, he was super attentive and friendly, genuinely some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. Throughout our meal my father and I went “thinks definitely one to come back to”. We started with the Thai Fish Cakes and the Prawn Cocktail. Both were full of flavor and delicious. I went for the classic Cod and chips and my father, the Lobster. I the batter on the cod ACTUALLY had flavor unlike a lot of the cheap ones you get and it was well balanced , not too thick nor thin and I just loved the peas. My father’s lobster was so juicy and tender, he loved it. For desert I went for the crème brûlée, and my father had 3 scoops of ice cream/sorbet. No regrets all around 10/10 meal. The Barman makes a fine negroni but there is an extensive wine list available as well.

Nothing special for the shop to be a fish&chips award winner. Baked fish at a German fair is just as good. £15 is also too expensive.

A great place located in the heart of Borough Market, welcoming and pleasant. We didn't have a reservation, which could have been problematic for a Saturday evening. Despite everything, the manager did his best to find 4 places, with a direct view of the kitchens. Seeing the chef and his employees working all evening to produce quality dishes so quickly was quite a spectacle! Our dishes, 4 fish & chips made from haddock, were swallowed in just a few moments. Simply delicious. The service was provided with grace and efficiency.

Been here a couple of times and when we lived near Wimbledon we went to the sister restaurant. Fish is always cooked to perfection and the staff are hard working but still make time to be friendly.

The worst fish & chips I've ever eaten! I wouldn't give a star if that were possible. Completely unseasoned. Fish was dry and tasted more like an 'old sponge' and the fries were totally sticky. We were fooled by the 'Fish & Chips Award Winner' sign. I'm annoyed that I didn't complain about this given the crowds. Only the Borough Market is great! Great market that is worth a visit!

Restaurant specializing in fish and chips, but not only, on the edge of the Borough Market, nice atmosphere, a more or less quiet oasis on the edge of the chaotic market with medium-high prices, but within the city standard. This restaurant could also be discreet, too bad they served us a fried cod infested with a parasitic worm found dead in the fish and quite dangerous for our health and they justified themselves by simply saying that sometimes it can happen and subtracting it from the final bill. Unacceptable

Had some oysters. They were good. Had the Haddock fish and chips. It was excellent. Also had the grilled sardines from the specials menu. Best fish and chips I've had to date. (**Disclaimer** it's been about 23 years since I had fish and chips in the UK. My other experiences have been the US kind, which is pure rubbish.)

Great fish restaurant, I had the soft shell crab burger - which I appreciate isn't for everyone, but one of my favourite foods. The rest of the group had a mixture of different fish dishes and they all loved theirs too.

It is very popular, hundreds of tourists pass there, they have a menu for Celiac people.

I have been here multiple times, and food has never disappointed me. My friend had fish and chips and mushy peas… which was so fresh and amazing. I had the grilled breem and veggies. The breem did not taste very fresh unfortunately, hence the 4 stars. The creme brulee was to die for ☺️

It was previously good but standards have dropped tremendously over the years. Now it is more of a tourist trap.
