not a nice place at all, pizza was awful, hardly any sauce at all and no flavour. my advice, spend a bit more money and go up the road to betullas for a nice pizza

Portions are enormous, garlic sauce quite bitter, prices online are 2018 and need updating

I ordered a donner kebab and I got a pita bread on the bottom with Donner meat on top. What sort of prank is this? To be honest I did find it quite funny and you put a lot of meat on it so respect there.

We ordered a pizza from here, only to find that it wasn't that good. The pizza was really expensive, and in the end, it came with no sauce. One more thing to note is that we had to wait a surprisingly long time before the pizza was ready. Overall, i would not recommend . not buying again.

Service was fine and food cooked quickly enough. The calzone was just ok, not something we'd eat again. One of our family who had pizza and garlic bread was sick 3 hours after eating. Can't say for definite that it was the food, but after he'd been sick once he then recovered after a few hours.

On holiday and staying at lowflan Glamping pods. Just been and collected our tea for a family of 4 had the chicken kebab what can I say best I've had in a long time delicious 😋 Husband had a 12 inch USA pizza said it was very good. And our boys had the chicken burger and cheese burger and they said they were nice. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting ulverston. We would go again thank you

We're on holiday and staying at Lowflan Glamping pods. Decided to have a takeaway tonight. What can I say delicious. I had the chicken kebab. Best kebab I've had in a long time so tasty and chicken nice and moist. Husband had a 12 inch USA 🇺🇸 pizza 🍕 said it was really nice. Kids had a chicken burger and cheese burger and said they were yummy. Staff were nice in the shop would highly recommend this place to anyone staying on holiday we would go again.

Used to be my go to takeaway, got food poisoning from the popcorn chicken. Haven't been since.

Bought a pizza from here in the middle of a house move as a treat. Got it home and it was just a pile of inedible sludge. When I called up about it I was on the verge of tears because it was the last straw with the move and a recent bereavement, and the person on the phone was incredibly rude and borderline aggressive in his response. All I wanted was some level of understanding and something to show for the £10 I spent here, but it was my mistake for going in the first place. Good if you're drunk but not for anything else.

Large helpings, friendly staff, cash only, delivery service

I came in about 2:55pm and was looking at the menu then I decided to order. But the person said they are not open yet till 3pm while he pointed to the clock and it was about 3 minutes to 3pm. So they didn't take my order till 3 o clock on the dot. I wasn't sure if they were having a laugh or taking the piss.

This place is amazing. They even created a kebab burger that wasn't on the menu. And I also the staff were very helpful and friendly

Ordered a doner and a pepperoni pizza for the wife and I. Both were very good.

Good selection of unhealthy food to takeaway! Delivery minimum of £14 which is no good if you want a quick kebab for tea!

Got the chicken kebab & garlic mushrooms. Chicken was gorgeous, tender and juicy, lots of fresh salad and creamy mayo. The kids got pizzas , which they loved. Nice size portions. Service nice & was really quick. Thank you !

If you have food from here don’t rely on the delivery driver , you won’t get your food it’s a good job it’s cash on delivery Not a very good attitude from driver at all , shame manager wasn’t helpful either

Absolutely excellent food and the lamb shish is to die for.

Had pizza (14", thin and crispy, hot and smelly) which was delicious. Freshly cooked while I waited. Previously had a doner kebab which was also delicious. Will definitely be eating from here again.

Good taste for food ,bad experience though. Lots of hair in the pizza dough and in doner kebab. Pitty the bin ate the rest cause food tastes good .

A £50 minimum order value for delivery when only two folks need feeding is challenging. I'm sure your food would have been fabulous, but unfortunately, we shall never know. Suggest you look into this.

A kebab shop called flames..a rare name indeed. Don't let that put you off. Chaps inside are friendly bunch. Had a doner meat and chips and it was extremely good. Plenty of salad and squirted a ton of sauce on too. Nice one. Also do pizza, there are loads of options and are very tasty.

Don’t like leaving negative reviews but was told by the staff that it was the only way to contact the manager! Normally great food and service. Look forward to a response from Malik the Manager as I was assured reviewing here was the only way to contact and that he would reply. One order was completely wrong, one was partially wrong and drinks were left off completely. Phone call was badly handled. Blamed new staff. After having to ask how they would make things better they finally offered free replacement of the wrong order next time, fair enough and compensation for the missing drinks was free drinks ( the ones we’d already paid for).

Ordered chicken and sweetcorn pizza but when we got home to eat it realised it was tuna and sweetcorn. Too late to take back but returned next day and told it was our fault with no apologies. Avoid

Decent takeaway, nice food, cheap and quick.

Not great. Served 8/10 of us and then from nowhere declined to serve me and my partner as they said they were closing. Later then carried on to serve a group of 2 ladies…

Very friendly and quick service. Good portions and good price. Food is good especially for the price. They do not take cards so is a little annoying if you don't cary cash. Great selection of food on the menue - the garlic bread is superb.

I just placed an order at this place & was so disgusted by the manager that I asked for a refund before I even got my food, while stood at the grill he put his hand up his top to scratch his body followed by picking his nose, this was bad enough he was in full view of me but didn’t even have the decency to wash his hands before touching the food, completely avoid this place if you value your health, vile.

first time using Flames, great food, ordered a burger, and a chicken kabab. Staff are lovely. Though if your first time going there it's worth noting they only accept cash.

Flames is a very friendly takeaway that deliver a quick service.(they can get very busy taking into account) but very good food that's tasty and enjoyable. Staff are Always polite and happy to help.

We been visiting this place for 8 years. We go 3 times a week when we stay at ulverston This week the services has let us down no loyalty or anything didn’t get free offers etc This place has now gone down hill and off our to go list. Will support other that deserve our custom

Best Kebab ever from here, everything was so delicious. Great size portions! Very filling and well cooked. Excellent service and reasonable prices. The Garlic sauce and Chilli sauce were amazing. The Salad was the best and had a great variety. Would definitely recommend and would return

Utter shambles, 40min wait to be given the wrong order. And mine wasn't complicated, Hot Wings, Combo Kebab, all the salad, double chilli sauce. All I left with was my money back. They couldn't run a bath!

They don't understand the concept of no cheese on a pizza. I've ordered from here twice and both times they have put cheese on despite specifically asking not to. I garlic bread pizza is really dry too.

The place advertised delivery, but when I called they said it was a £10 fee AND only for orders over £50. I was only a 13 minute drive away so that seemed excessive. I drove to collect and only when I was there did they tell me that NO CARDS EXCEPTED - cash only. Food was barely warm and wasn't the best tasting either. Would not return.

Twice now I have had a bad order from this place.first time our order didn’t arrive for an hour and half! Which was freezing cold! No apology nothing!! Last time I will order from there. Ordered my food tonight l, asked for sauce that comes on the kebab separate in tubs when arriving at my house the driver who couldn’t speak English demanded an extra two pound. When I asked he said it was for the sauces. I showed the driver my bill online. When telling the driver I only had the money for the bill offered he told me to give me the food back. I rang flames and ask them what the extra £2 was about and he said “oh I forgot to ring you about that, that’s for asking for the sauces in tubs”. The person from flames then said “well give the driver the food back then”. Absolute disgrace of a company. No customer service skills again. Shocking. Now you’ve made food which will go back to the shop ready for someone else 😂 disgrace!! Wouldn’t even give you one star.

Staying around 5 miles away and so had to collect order as min spend of £50 for delivery. Ordered two pizzas and chips. Only take cash on collection. When I got home, had not been given chips. I called to see what they could do, whilst they offered to make up some chips, I was over 15 mins away. As they only take cash they could refund me over phone only (not driving 15 mins for £2.20). Pizza was lacking topping and very dry, would avoid this takeaway!

Great food, but we rang with order as had a train to catch, we get to the shop and they've not even started it! Consequently missed the train. Don't take orders if you can't fulfill the time you've said you can have it ready for.

Menu said chicken burger real chicken breast. I asked for all the salad. I got a dry bun with a hash brown shaped piece of formed processed chicken with a sprinkle of lettuce and onion. Not pleased and won't be having one of those again. Taking advantage of tourists that may not be there again not a quality item at all, im not a tourist im local.

Last night I went into the shop to get a pizza for my tea. I was mortified to see a woman putting my pizza into its box and licking her fingers when she had got some food on them, I then explained to the staff what I had seen and that she was still stood behind him continuing to eat. They looked at me offered no apology or refund even when i told them it had put me off eating my pizza. This is not acceptable in food and health hygiene practices anyways never mind during Covid especially as cases are beginning to rise again. I will NOT be eating from here again. Disgusting behaviour and appalling customer service.

Worst service...🍞 and combo I ordered . They only gave us chicken, no donner kabab. And packed the chicken with bread.. As it is only takeaway service, we can't check on that time.

I would never eat there again I would normally go down to the shop but got a takeaway instead sent me the most horrendous order it burned my mouth so glad I wasn’t allergic phoned to complain didn’t want garlic Mayo as was scared of my mouth burning again as I don’t do hot we had a phone call saying they were outside oh sorry wrong address sent a cheeseburger no onions and dry this burger cost them £1 customers satisfaction was real bad they make lots of money as only cash only and foreign people they need to sort themselves out food makes lots of money but look after your customer and they will come back you are very foolish x

Being honest was only place open at 4pm on a Sunday that I could find so gave it a try, cash only is bit old fashioned in this day and age for a business, Kebab was dry and bland, no spice to it, nuggets were okay, chips nice and salty, Staff were bit grumpy, no chat, no banter, it wasn't busy either, Would try a pizza next time maybe and give that a go.

Ordered 2 pizzas made quickly and tastes great don't be fooled by the look of the place but only note it's cash only no cards but cash point around corner

Probably the best kebab ive ever had, everything cooked fresh to order, no long waiting times, the pizzas are really good too. The only downside is its cash only on payment.

Probably the best takeaway I've had. I had this kebab on a garlic bread type thing at 1am after a few pints. Sober enough to appreciate it. Despite it been very busy it didn't take too long and everything about it was fantastic.

Beat place in town for takeaways pizzas, kebabs and all kinds of great stuff. Unbeatable prices and excellent service. 👌🏻

Omggg guys the food is amazing and just want to let you know its halal... Yeppp! Very hard to find a halal place in Ulverston but this place defo is and the food is delicious and service is fab. Definitely recommend everyone to try there food.
