Amazing food and great server Izabela ❤️

Went in with my 2 grandchildren on Sunday 27 October for lunch before going to cinema thinking I would get one free child meal due to them advertising children eat free for October school break when I double checked with staff I was asked to show the email I received. I didn’t know I had to keep email as proof as it was obvious I was sitting with 2 children but because I did not have an email to show I did not get a free child meal.

Bolognaise was tasteless and the burger was gross, waited ages to be seated even tho the restaurant was less than half full, won’t be going back!

We appreciated the quick service and reasonable prices at Frankie & Benny's Aberdeen. The food was decent, though perhaps lacking a bit in flavour and it was fairly simplistic. We did find our server to be inattentive at the end of our experience. On a positive note, the rest of the team were friendly and professional.

My server Melanie was delightful and was happy to give me plenty of time to peruse the menu before ordering.

One of the worst carbonara I’ve had

Paid £11.50 for a breakfast 2 egg 2 burnt bacon and 4 small tiny tota tots and 2 dry pancakes shocking not the first time this has happened so just boycotting from now on

Breakfast warp is the goat.well terrible news they have removed the breakfast and now have American style breakfasts. This is just rubbish. Streaky Bacon with pancakes and other American sugar based nightmares. So sad won’t be going back.

I have been to the Frankie and Bennys in union square before. I was really happy with everything from the cleanliness of the restaurant, the staff friendliness and the quality of food.

Was very disappointed with my sausage bap. Lorne sausage was overcooked and for over £5 I expected better value for money.

Went in for a quick bite to eat, food overall is delicious. However sweet potato fries is just a bowl of mash potato. I’ve visited this establishment a couple times now, but this was certainly the worst. Our server, who is named on our receipt as Iain, was utterly useless. Didn’t smile or show a single ounce of enthusiasm once. When taking the order she seemed to have an attitude about us wanting to share a couple small plates, rather than ordering two main meals. Although we still ended up spending about £40 (after a discount) Was never checked back on during the meal. When given the food, wasn’t asked if we wanted anything else including extra sauces, more drinks, etc. There was no excuse for no check backs as there was plenty staff on and maybe about 5 tables in from us arriving and leaving. Server didn’t even come collect plates until we had to call her over. Ordered a dessert to go, as we had plans to rush off to, took far too long for one dessert. Honestly about 15 minutes. Which for one waffle and a little scoop of ice cream is just a joke. When getting given the bill, still no positive attitude from the server. Still didn’t bother asking if we had enjoyed the food or not even a enjoy the rest of your night or a thank you. To mention as well a young lad who was hanging around near the kitchen most of the time we were there was regularly on his phone in front of customers when there was a dirty table right across from us he could have been cleaning. As a fellow restaurant worker it takes a lot for me to complain as i can understand some shifts are long/ more challenging. But you ALWAYS keep a smile on your face in front of customers and you certainly make sure they have a good time whilst they are there. And just no reason for anyone to be on their phone when everyone can see. Didn’t see our server have any other tables, but could be wrong, but maybe this poor attitude was down to pure homophobia due to a date night with my girlfriend. Also the young lad mentioned previously who was on his phone, when leaving he nearly knocked right into my girlfriend. Didn’t apologise at all, since she’s only small she could have easily gotten knocked about pretty severely. If we are correct about our service being called Iain, please make sure this doesn’t happen again as i would HATE for another LGBTQIA+ couple to feel as victimised as we did this evening. Very disappointed as it is 2024. Perhaps next time we will just order takeout as the food is honestly amazing and worth the price! For thank you to the chefs and ONLY the chefs for making this a somewhat acceptable experience for us both.

Went yesterday with my husband and toddler , we had carbonara with extra chicken and my little one had chicken on the grill with veggies , food was delicious but once home we all suffered from food poisoning . Definetly something wrong with that chicken !

Food and service was good. Waitresses very attentive. However seated next to a mother and 2 kids. Kids extremely noisy and the mother made no effort to control them. We requested another table which was done, however I did not agree with the member of staff who said as it was a family restaurant and nothing could be done. WRONG!!! I have nothing against children having had 2 of my own plus grandchildren. However there has to be boundaries of behaviour in order that other diners are not disturbed. There was another family came in the restaurant with 5 children and they were well behaved. Good parenting.

The food was simply brilliant. I had the hot dog which was definitely the best hotdog I've ever had! The service was very innovative as they took your order on an ipod touch which I thought was a clever way of taking orders without having to lug around a large tablet.

Will has greeted us on a number of occasions being extremely welcoming and taking excellent care of ourselves and our service dog seating us at my son’s preference each time. 5 star rating.

Quick and easy breakfast with great service - nowhere else open for a good cooked breakfast early upstairs in union square!

Went in thinking I was going to have a nice meal for my birthday with my family turns out I was completely wrong. Sat down everything was fine got our drinks, still everything was fine, until we got brought out our mains, which was weird cause we still didn’t have our starters but that’s fine whatever they said they would re make them. Our wee one’s food comes next everything’s fine there. Starters were fine. Then when our mains came out everything went downhill. Clearly it was the same food they brought out at the start, the chips were freezing cold and had been re-fried, I would know as I’ve worked in plenty hospitality being a manager myself before, the burgers were stale. We got fresh chips, again everything was fine until I cut into my stale burger and found that there was no BBQ sauce on my BBQ BURGER. Server Melanie was clearly embarrassed to come talk to us after the first hiccup of the mains coming out. I ate 1/4 of my burger and stopped as it was not what I ordered, and what I presume was the manager said they would give us discount and took our plates away. At this point I was in tears crying because this was my birthday ruined. It took them around 15 minutes to get a scoop of ice cream onto a brownie and cut 2 slices of banana and put it in a bowl for the wee one, we after our mains didn’t even was to touch the food from there. Got our bill to fine a £70 bill and a 20% discount added for the no food that we ate. At this point our server came over with the bill and I showed a voucher I had been emailed by the company themselves and she proceeded to tell us that we can’t use it with other discounts, which we did not have apart from the 20% the “manager” had put on. She went off again and asked the manager who apparently had now said it was fine. I ended up spending £56.66 after eating no food apart from a small portion of starter and a meal for the wee one. Honestly would’ve had a better meal at Burger King or McDonalds. Will NEVER be back.

Had a steak . More grizzle than meat . Was to rair for me even when asking for medium rair . Sons burger was great . But got my changed handed to me in a manner a 60 .00 quid bill ain't worthy .. ie never had a bad meal before . But saw a big difference

We come regularly as a family, not because its our favourite food but because of how welcoming and understanding the team are towards my son with additional needs, particularly the manager, Will. There are very few restaurants where we can enjoy a meal as a family without feeling like an inconvenience to serving staff and other customers but we rarely feel this here and never when the manager Will is working, he makes us feel like valued customers and almost friends, even, not a nuisance.

Put in an order on just eat and it has never arrived. Restaurant is unable to help and been told to request for a refund! When will drivers finally learn to read addresses and use maps!!

Horrible place to grab something to eat. Was here with my girlfriend and we opted for two of the burgers, both of which were cold . The fries seemed hot on the outside but once you bit into them they were dry and cold. Would not recommend this place, you’re probably just better off going to McDonald’s and saving money. - One bonus, we did get 50% percent off the food after complaining.

Won't be back. Asked for Scottish breakfast no mushrooms, scrambled egg add tater tots and black pudding. Received MUSHROOMS, a butter but no toast, no Lorne or tattie scone! Absolute joke. Haven't been in years, thought we'd go again but it's worse than ever. Wouldn't recommend

To the management - both your restaurant manager and staff are absolutely incredible. I had a train stopover on the way up north and asked at 1230 if a takeaway order could be prepared to still get me on my train at 1300. At exactly 1253, I was walking out with my food just in time to catch the train, this despite the place being really full with people celebrating Mother’s Day. I can sadly not include photos on account of dropping my food in my hurry but it was still tasty and even more impressive considering the tight turnaround. Again, very happy with the helpful staff and how they handled the whole situation.

Food was affordable, plenty, tasty and quick to be served. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend the restaurant for a Scottish breakfast. Also loved the music selection and general ambiance.

I had 20 minutes to grab breakfast and they served me delicious vegan eggs, avocado and toast with a side of potato scone with a tasty smoothie and a soy latte. Very good service and friendly staff.

I had the lasagne and my wife had the hot dog, both really liked the food, service was very nice quick and polite. I left my car keys and they came to find me after I had left, going the extra mile!

I’ve been here a few times for something to eat after a day shopping service was excellent, very quick with ordering our drinks to start with and then left us for a few moments to have a look at the menu and get the food orders. All hassle free. The waitresses were very polite and helpful. Food was excellent me and The Wife both enjoyed it The only one thing I would say is to watch around lunchtime as it can get really busy and you might struggle to get a seat So you might have to wait until 1 becomes available

Amazing first time at Union Square, since the move from the beach. The staff member gave a lovely welcome and a great atmosphere. We had burgers and chips, the tastiest burger I've ever had. I'm happy to recommend it to all.

My best dinner in a very long time. Service was excellent. Delivery was quick and no errors with the orders. The portions were worth every penny. The starters were divine. I don't know what to say but this restaurant is worth a visit. Food was delicious.

Good salmon but mashed potatoes were incredibly stodgy (texture & taste of powdered potatoes). Service was busy but efficient. The atmosphere was spoiled by very loud music that made it difficult to have a conversation.

Visited 17.15 on 30.08.2023. Was met at entrance by very friendly waitress, asked if I had any food allergies and shown to table. Ordered from main menu chicken caesar salad, together with a soft drink. The salad was very fresh, the ample chicken topping grilled to perfection. The service was excellent, the waitress asking if everything was ok. A sum of 30% was discounted from the cost of the main course on production of a cineworld cinema ticket, which made the food great value. Very much deserving of 5 stars for quality of food, for the very friendly and attentive staff, and for value for money.

I went here for dinner at 5 pm. I couldn't understand why nobody was here. After I ordered a chicken burger and chips, I can see why nobody was here. The food was terrible, the worst piece of dry cooked chicken I've ever had, in a horrible bun. The chips or fries, whatever it was disgusting and I couldn't eat it. So I left Frankie and Bennys and ordered a takeaway

They pay great attention to food allergies and intolerances, they suggested I eat the gluten free burger with potatoes cooked in the oven, due to the fact that the french fries where being cooked in the same oil has onion rings. I found it honest and cared for. Thank you Frankie & Benny's staff. It was a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere.

I was ok going here until I found they were still employing someone who had just been convicted of starving their poor 9 month old puppy to death. Can’t condone that behaviour ever, and don’t ever want to risk being be served by her!

We had a great breakfast here before taking our train to Edinburgh. Good service and tasty meal.

An average experience. The service was very friendly. I ordered the calamari and found the coating to be overly salty. The chicken and halloumi burger was amazing. The tiramisu was a bit unspectacular, considering that it cost just over £6. There are better options available nearby.

I went for the ultimate Macaroni and cheese, and got something I ate 2 or 3 mouthfulls of and couldn't eat anymore no flavour no seasoning no cheesyness! I'd rather have sat at home with a packet of cheesy pasta! won't ever darken their door again!

Went today BBQ plate 4two ordered. Steak medium fried only warm same as chicken wings in old breadcrumbs,dark brown colour,dry eventually uneatable.The brown sauce was okay same as chips.We were in this place for the first and last time.We use to go at the beach side and always was perfect to us never complain but we heard this place is closing down shortly shame.

Worst food ever in a Frankie and Benny

Had one of the big breakfasts. It was well cooked nothing to complain about

Long time lover of F&Bs. Had my first date with my husband at F&Bs and today was just a treat out. The waitress was quick and cheerful between order and food was no more than 10 minutes. Highly recommend the double bacon cheese burger and the banana waffle thing was an excellent pudding. I know F&Bs took a turn for the worse in 2018 with the menu changes and atmosphere changes... But it would appear the old F&Bs is back.

Great yummy breakfast the lemon tart was amazing and extremely friendly people, went again and had a 3 course meal and had a fantastic waitress serve us named Natalia.

It's a Frankie and Benny's.. you know what you're getting really. The staff are great. Black and Blue burger is good 👍

I've only been in Aberdeen a few months, and good gluten free options are proving difficult to find. Ordered a gluten free burger from Frankie & Benny's last night and it was truly fantastic! Definitely a firm favourite.

Second time this month i visited Frankie & Benny's at Union Square and they never disappoint me. Food is absolutely great, coctails are so tasty and the customer service is absolutely on top. My waiter Willy was really nice and helpful.

I have always loved Frankie and Benny's. My family has been going to the one in Southport for years. We've had family parties and meet ups with married children and their growing families, also lunchtimes while shopping. Three years ago, we moved to Aberdeen, and unfortunately, I lost my husband last year. I returned to Frankie and Benny's alone last week for my lunch and was very disappointed to be served my meal on a tin tray with a sheet of paper on it. Yuk the paper dissolved under the food, and I ended up with a piece of it in my mouth. If I had wanted to be served food like this, I would have gone to McDonald's. But I didn't. I came to you for better quality service. I was as I said, very disappointed.

Music seemed quite loud but food was really good. Long wait for server to come between courses to see if we wanted anything else. Not always visible to us.

Went in for breakfast. I'm struggling to say it was any better than ok! The kids pancakes with chocolate was not the best . The chocolate sauce used was ice cream chocolate sauce. Pretty gross on cold pancakes. The pancakes were stone cold like they had just been defrosted .

Staff were great. The food is disappointing and overpriced Meal was tepid. Dry chicken, dry chewy bacon, insipid cheese, small portions.

Lovely place for family and group dining

Front of house service poor. No tables so asked to wait. Agreed to wait but told because we had kids we could not sit on seats near bar. When asked where we should wait I was told to leave the restaurant and take a walk around centre before coming back. I have been to many restaurants and the kids are able to sit near the bar while you wait to be seated. However it was more about his attitude and the way he basically told us to F/off. 🖕🏻 They clearly didn’t want us there and If it wasn’t for the kids I wouldn’t have come back. However we did go back stupidly. Restrooms outrageous! 🚽Omg I have been to many festivals, this is what the toilets are like beware! 4 toilets in ladies. Two blocked, one with no lock and the other had toilet roll holders broken and falling open in front of toilet. Try peeing while floating and dodging a metal toilet holder to the head. Aww and Sinks full of toilet paper and floor slippy. 🤮 The food. Kids both eat meals pizza and hot dog thank god 👏🏻as we were only there because of them. Spaghetti carbonara haha 😳 honestly i can’t even give it words. Stay away! All in avoid Frankie and Benny's in Union Square. My kid’s favourite restaurant if we have to sit down and been to a few. But honestly I wish I agreed to a McDonald’s in Aberdeen 🤦🏻‍♀️

Had a lunch here, The Xmas menu was really good value for money, and absolutely delicious. The service eas excellent and the staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous.
