Really beautiful pup and staff very friendly however the London pride was not at its best and there was lots of fruit flies but definitely worth a go and I would go back and give the beer another go

Nice pub too few real ales to choose from. In a region blessed with fantastic real ales the pub had just TWO!!! Very sad not what you expect in such a diverse beer region!

Handy little pub under a minutes walk from the Peacock theatre, perfect for pre show drinks. Was very quiet during the afternoon but I was informed that is because its term time and gets busier at night as it usually feels with students from the area. Traditional inside decor makes for a very homely feeling and the owners, if that's who they were, make you feel very welcome

Menú bastante amplio aunque no extenso. El personal es servicial. Buenos precios por proximidad a la universidad.

Discovered this pub when attending a public lecture at the LSE. I really liked the vintage décor- including the LSE sign over the bar! The seating is cosy and comfortable, and hearing snatches of articulate conversation -including those in other languages- adds to the academic vibe. They serve a very nice white wine; didn't have time to sample the menu. Perhaps next time, as I'd definitely like to return.

Stumbled upon this pub by accident, The barmaid was very efficient and cheerful. When not serving she kept busy dusting the bottles and making it look so spic and span. Our sandwiches came quickly and were really good with crisps and garnish. Reasonably priced and the beer was good too.

Can't complain about this place. Quick service, a healthy amount of noise and atmosphere and a decent enough selection of drinks. Only thing it's missing is a smoking area but apart from that it's brilliant. Make sure you swing by.

Called in here for pre-theatre drinks, as the previous pub we visited was running out of beers!! The manager made us feel most welcome, and even though busy, finding seats was not a problem. A good range of ales, ciders and lagers. Recommended for a pre-show drink

George IV sits right within the LSE campus and is a great place for students and faculty alike to hang out and chill after a tough day. Drinks are reasonably priced and readily available, though the place does tend to get very full on weeknights from around 7pm onwards

One of two pubs within LSE, this one is great and gives you an excellent view of being an LSE student or faculty. Every school should have a pub like this.

🚇 Angel 🍺 £6.50 Pravha The Harlequin is located on a quiet street at the back of Sadler’s Wells Theatre in Clerkenwell. The nearest Tube is Angel in Islington. Prior to becoming a pub, this terraced house was built in 1822 and was the former home to a baker and then a lithographer. In 1848 the house was converted to a beer shop and has remained a Free house ever since. Brian Reader, mastermind of the infamous Hatton Garden hole in the wall gang lived for a while with the landlady in the flat upstairs. This is cosy and intimate one bar pub that has a rustic and homely feel. The servery is located on the right hand side and is clad in beach washed panels. The decor consists of burnt orange walls with more panelling below, a bare boarded floor and some ornate chandeliers. There are some nice touches, like the fireplace, Sadlers Wells advertisements and the piano located at the back. Considering the size of the pub, there is ample seating plus plenty of stools huddled around the bar. At the rear of the pub is a Secret Garden which is covered in flora and fauna. The beer line up is good and included some craft ipa’s and cask ale. I decided on a Pravha, my pint was spot on, price point was above average. If you’re feeling peckish, there is a bar snacks menu consisting of Cheeseboards, Bastides Saucissons Secs and Pinchos. I arrived around 6pm for an afterwork pint on a Friday evening in April. The pub was fairly busy with local punters and a few visitors to the area. The atmosphere was convivial and relaxed with a soothing soundtrack playing in the background. The service was excellent, the team member who served me was welcoming and friendly. Visiting @theharlequin1848 has to be one of my most chilled and relaxing pub experiences ever. This pub environment is calming and seductive which makes it easy to settle into. I loved architecture and history, the beer choice was good, there are nice local pub vibes and the hospitality is on point. Maybe not one for the traditionalist but If you’re on a date on just want a chat with a mate, then this is the ideal spot. 📅 19th April 2024 More London Pub info @londonpubmap 🍻

We had the braised beef short rib, and we came back the next day for that again. Best piece of meat I had in ages, it's really that good.
