Golden Phoenix in Doncaster

Fantastic food. Been fresh and tasty every time we have been. The staff are polite and friendly but not over the top. It’s great and prices are beyond reasonable.

Had to wait 1 hour 15 minutes to get a meal for one

Used to be ok, but now AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

The waiting time was about 45 minutes for pickup but the food was excellent 👌, we will definitely go back.

Super fast deliver, driver really nice and polite, order spot on, amazing tasting food best veg rice ever included so much fresh veg, chips where hot and just great all round 5 star best one around the area my new no 1 now

Despite being cash only. Food was great. Fresh and hot. We ordered for 7 people and when we got home the order was correct. No complaints at all. Being using this Chinese for over 20years

They got the order wrong so we had to go back to get another chicken meal. The replacement chicken was slimy and freezing cold. It ended up in the bin. Will be going to a different Chinese in future.

A bit disappointed.....Beef with green pepper and black bean sauce....plenty of meat, however, at least complete the dish by actually having black beans in the sauce and more than 3 bits of extremely mushy over cooked green pepper....nevermind.

I'd read some of the reviews that were very scathing regarding the food and service but decided that I would try for myself and make my own mind up. I am so glad I did as it was excellent, in fact one of the best round here!

Beautifully cooked chicken and veg. Crunchy golden and soft chips. Yummy seer and sour sauce. Delivered in 40 mins. Excellent

Ordered a meal it was uneatable supposed to be chicken I think it was turkey the meat was so dry you could not eat it. I sent it back this is Twice I have had such bad food from hear i would not advise anyone to deal with this place it's just uneatable it's like throwing you money down the drain

Manager is very rude, they messed an order up, I had to go back to pick it up and basically he said it wasn't his problem, tried calling him back out so I could talk to him and he hid in the kitchen, coward. Very poor customer service, appalling manager, useless all round. Avoid at all costs, use Red Diamond on Carr House Road.

It's one of those 'don't know what your gonna get' it usually only takes like 10 mins to get here as well which kinda worries me :/ .But yeah it's alrite been using it since I was a little girl cantley regular.

Food arrived earlier than expected. Ordered without msg or onions and they accommodated. Nice hot food and reasonably priced. No complaints. Would use again.

Disgusting found a half smoked roll up in the food don't no if it was out the chip bag or in the bbq sauce but still disgusting,, rang up and told them and they say they have 5 star ratings,, and no 1 smokes there and tell me to take it up with the council ,, order at your own risk

Absolutely terrible, waiting longer than estimated time they said they was going to deliver it in. Also when arrived it was stone cold. Called them to express our dissatisfaction and they advised it would be half price next time we ordered, called up to place another order as thinking it was going to be half price and they have advised it is only 15%, I then advised it was okay we will leave it and the assistant rudely just ended the call. Terrible food, terrible prices and terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

I placed my first ever order with Golden Phoenix in Cantley tonight. I was quoted 40 minutes to an hour (usual takeaway delivery time) but it didn't arrive until 90 minutes had passed. I was ready to call them when the driver arrived. I started to unpack my order when i noticed i had been given the wrong order. My main dish was wrong. I promptly called them back and was told a replacement meal would be sent out to me in exchange for the wrong one. But to add insult to injury i received a call back to say id need to pay an extra 60p for the price difference! You've got to be kidding me. Surely as a gesture of goodwill this would be wavered especially after being kept waiting even longer while the rest of my order gets cold. But no, needless to say i will not be ordering from this establishment again, it's an absolute joke with no idea of what real customer service is!
