Rock-A-Hula Tiki Bar in Doncaster

I really like tiki bars so thought I'd pop in and try this place while in Doncaster for other reasons. Not many rum drinks on the menu, the rum runner was sweet but okay, the mai tai watery and actively unpleasant, zombie was mixed badly so the bottom was pure over proof rum. They are very cheap though and you do get what you pay for. The decor is similar to a garden tiki bar apart from the bar itself which has some nice bamboo construction. Music very very loud even with earplugs in. Staff nice enough but know nothing about cocktails. If you're in Yorkshire go to Tiki Hideaway in Leeds instead.

Hailie's customer service skills and personality were brilliant... excellent service...she certainly deserves a pay rise.. brilliant last night when me and my partner went in.xxx

Absolutely fantastic, staff are amazing, drinks are incredible, I would most definitely rate it more than five stars if possible.

if you want your phone stolen, go straight there. I spent 10 minutes in a bar and my phone was stolen from my purse. The security did not even show interest in finding the thief

Awful bouncers, charges women free but men £6…. ridiculous. Bouncers are unreasonable and rude. Music is also terrible.

Why does this place have so many mobile phone thefts? Does anyone take this seriously? It seems like an every weekend occurance. Maybe the police should be informed?

On the first visit everything was well DJ and music great, drinks were lovely a girls assisting new members of staff making drinks and working as a team.. revisiting later in the evening we ordered multiple drinks to find one had not been made with any alcohol. The male staff member who made the drinks was then told to speak to our group, no manger present. We requested it to be changed or a refund for the one drink as we weren’t happy that the presumed we were too drunk to notice. Staff member was rude and a bouncer came to our group of friends.. It was explain again to which he responded nothing will be done finish our drinks or just leave.. Giving us no time to decided what we would do as a group I was then grabbed by the arm by the very large width and height gentleman and taken outside by myself to which I spoke to another door man and stated only being 4ft 10 was that necessary. So not only were we not able to drink the drinks that were paid for in full and a reasonable price, no manger was present to talk to and the young staff member moments later did the same again. I’d like to know is this something that is common with this bar? I certainly won’t be recommending this bar nor will I go back. From previous years of experience in hospitality and customer service, I feel staff training would be perfect to understand that “good customer service” is key and that you please those that are purchasing goods. Staff: Poor customer service, terrible communication skills, lack of skills dealing with complaints or issues and no manger present to deal with the situation and discuss matters 1 of the Door Men- bully, using what he believes is power to not deal with situations, hot head and very arrogant. Use of his very large sizing to overpower a woman and possibly men too

Absolutely disgusting arrogant staff and actually manhandling a young woman of only 4ft 10inched out because she complained about a drink which was just lemonade when she’d paid for vodka and lemonade is beyond belief. Wouldn’t go in there again if it was the only pub in town. Don’t let pubs like this get away with it!!! AVOID!!

Nice drinks. It’s great having a guy working there who can signs. It really helps when it’s noisy and we haven’t got a clue what they’re saying. A bit quiet though, we were the only ones there at 11pm.

Love your cocktails the music is fab the staff are great

Busiest and best night club in the area, super friendly staff, amazing cocktails, manager is super. Music for everyone

Hen do so had a booth booked only problem was music was so loud we couldn't talk to each other. Cocktails were nice but around £8 each. Good dance floor but toilets where at other side of the pub which ment fighting past everyone in the bar each time you needed the loo.

Good for a night out with friends but don't expect to hear one and another as music is loud but if you didn't want that you wouldn't be there

If you are on a night-out in Doncaster you should put this on your list. They have reasonably priced drinks and a little space for your to boogey in. The DJ has usually been pretty bad when I have been there though so you may not feel much like dancing.

Music is amazing atmosphere is buzzing. Shame drinks are OTT but I go to dance cos I love RNB 😀

Great standard sort of loud bar. But it's loud. That loud it reminded me of my age when my ears were ringing a couple of days later 😂

Regardless what excuse you use for throwing the bucket of water over the old gentleman you need to accept you were wrong. You need to realise what affects it as had on this person. You have wet all his belongings. This could be everything he owns, everything to help keep him warm at night & you destroyed this in one stupid act. You have a chance to put things right but you choose to defend your actions by saying everyone in the area does the same. Your actions could have resulted in a death If you think i am over reacting then you obviously need to educate yourself regarding homeless issues & how important dry clothes/sleeping bags are. What a disgusting place. Not only did the manager throw bleached water over three homeless people (putting one in hospital) not one but THREE times, he tries to justify it by saying they were bothering his clientele by being there. HOW DISGUSTING.

Homeless people deserve our support. They do not deserve to have member of your staff pour bleached water over them and putting them in hospital. I hope you go out of business after such disgusting treatment.

Recent events forfeit their right to continue operating. shut down, sell up. buy the old bloke and everyone he knows a house. so in the future he might have some shelter from those that should have been aborted.

Staff working here are throwing buckets of bleach and water over the local homeless? Shame on them! It's enough for me to never again use your venue. Genuinely hope the fact that people noticed and will not accept this low form of behaviour changes the way you handle business.

I am appalled at the behaviour of staff in this place, throwing hot bleached water over a homeless man seeking shelter and hospitalising him. The Police are now involved.

Haven't been to your establishment and certainly never will after hearing of your staff throwing boiling water and bleach over a homeless man. Never been and will never go after the things I've seen...you should be shut down for disgusting behaviour and that poor man should press charges against you low life's.

Only one and that's a mistake, a disgusting company who throw water and bleach on the homeless who happen to shelter near the building, that poor guy would have been wet and cold all night, I hope the police are involved and take it further, you ate a disgrace to society,,you could offer the man a chance to clean himself and buy him a new outfit of warm dry clothes for your staffs behaviour

I would give it 0 but I can't :( so been told we can't go into the heated area as it's only for shisha customers what a load of bollocks 8 people sat there and only cigarettes in site. The man that's apparently running a business is a c u next Tuesday oh well I know where ill take my £40 round next time!!!!!!!!!
