Gourmet Burger Kitchen - Wimbledon in Merton

I haven't been for a long time, surprised at the reduced menu. Food quality was good and the service.

Food was nice, however the restaurant was freezing cold and service was mediocre.

We have booked the last 2 Christmas Eve's. Last year on the day they called to advise they would be shutting early so had to go an hour before planned, rush us in and out. This year no call no nothing just a sign on the door to say something about gas which obviously is a concern but why would you not call customers instead staff all sitting in the back having a good old laugh. Needless to say we won't be going to the restaurant again customers service doesn't even deserve 1 star.

Best burgers !!! Always tastes so fresh and the fries are crisp to perfection. Service is fast and staff are lovely. GBK is always my go to spot in Wimbledon

I ordered chicken, burger and fries today and what was my surprise when I opened the bag there was an empty box and 3 sauces I called the restaurant, a man who answered the phone, wanted to blame the driver for stealing food where the bag was sealed, the service was very RUDE Or drunk after New Year's EvE

Have always had a good experience eating at GBK and this one has been one of the best. The food was delicious and loved the milkshake. It didn't take long to come out and the service was quick throughout. Sergio, the waiter, was accommodating and attentive as someone I was with had allergies. He made sure that the kitchen were aware and that we were all able to enjoy our food.

Poor. Asked for two well done burgers. Both turned up pink. Sent back. Surely scorching a patty is the easiest thing to do! Service non existent. Staff just having banter in the back the whole time. Had to go up to order, had to go up to pay. No one came to the table once.

We placed a takeout order last week, but upon delivery, half of our order was missing. Despite making several calls to resolve the issue, we only received the response to leave our name and number, with no further follow-up or resolution. The lack of action or communication was very frustrating. Due to this poor experience, I will not be ordering from them again.

My wife and I went in to have a nice relaxing dinner after a busy day. For the first time we saw the new tablet ordering system. We ordered and waited 40 minutes. Finally, after all that time a waiter came to ask if we had already ordered or if we want to order. We told him we had ordered only to be told that our order didn’t go through. But both of us had pending charges on our cards. The staff were indifferent and shrugged off our worries if we were going to get refunded. I was also surprised they didn’t offer to maybe reduce the cost of the meal or use some other tactic to make us happy and keep our custom. Clearly it’s not needed. It was an unfortunate waste of our time. I don’t think we will be going back any time soon. Final update: We had to go back to GBK for a refund and we spoke to the manager who did offer us a free meal for our inconvenience. We refused this as it didn't feel right and we were still not happy about the inconvenience of the whole situation and because it was too little to late. However, GBK did refund us the money for the meal, which we appreciate. The original payment taken by the tablet was never refunded. In GBK's place, I would reconsider the current payment service provider.

Always liked the GBK restaurants and this one was excellent as expected. Helpful staff and quick service. Love the iPad style ordering from the table. The homemade onion rings were large and crispy and the hot honey dip was delicious. Had the classic smash burger and loaded fries which were both excellent too.

GBK still has the best burgers in town, IMHO. Unfortunately the branch next to my work as well as near where I live, both have been closed. So the next nearest one is at Wimbledon. I don't go there very often but whenever I do, I'm satisfied and I really appreciate how helpful and kind the staff is (kudos to Bartlomiej). Why only four stars at some parts? Food: as much as I still really like it, the changes in menu keep going in the wrong direction. Less and less burger choices, and customisation - which wasn't needed when the burgers choice was wider - gets too pricy. Atmosphere: what might be expected from a burger place, it's alright. My only complain is to the recently introduced self-order devices which have no option of scanning loyalty QR code. Luckily the staff helps getting around this.

Ordered two burgers with onion rings and fries for delivery. One sandwich was no tomato. Mild allergy. The photo is the state of the veggie sandwich with a large tomato slice. Fries were a soggy cold mess and onion rings were cold. Wasted £36. Can't recommend anyone spend their money on this quality of food. Maybe other locations are better but there are plenty of other local burger alternatives to this.

We were so looking forward to using a gift voucher but we really regret ordering from GBK Wimbledon. Unfortunately we had two terrible Korean chicken burgers… the chicken burger itself were two thin slices of chicken that were like cardboard and so we couldn’t finish the burger. The bread was hard and kimchi dry. The chips and onion rings didn’t seem to travel well either and so we put them in the air fryer to salvage them but yet again, just disappointed with the quality. We won’t be ordering from here again.

The ambient was excellent. We are vegan and vegetarian, and they have 3 different option of burger available. Honestly, it was too expensive for what we received, because we spend almost 60 pound for 2 burgers, 2 portion of fries (too small for 4£ each, in my opinion) and 2 milkshake. The service was pretty good too. Average 4 stars, but when it's weekdays it is cheaper, and it is definitely worth it (since we went on weekend, and we understand how business make the most out of weekends). Toilet cleanliness debatable, but I understand weekends are busier. Thank you😊

I visited Gbk Wimbledon today and had the best service. Me and my wife were greeted and seated straight a way by italiya which she was so polite and helpful. The food was amazing…definitely recommend the taxi driver. Overall this was a 10/10 experience for us. We will be back soon.

Order arrived stone cold because the delivery driver took 45 minutes to bring it. It’s an 8 minute drive. They passed through a park and stopped for 20 minutes on the way. For £37 worth of food this isn’t on. I want a refund.

Today, during lunchtime, I visited GBK Wimbledon Broadway, a restaurant I frequent due to its convenient location near my office. Upon arrival, Mia, the waitress, warmly welcomed us and confirmed the acceptance of the Love Wimbledon card, a perk I've always appreciated as a local employee. Throughout our meal, Mia provided attentive service, reflecting GBK's commitment to excellence. However, upon settling the bill, we encountered an issue with applying the Love Wimbledon discount due to system limitations. Despite Mia's efforts, the discount couldn't be processed as expected. Patryk, whom I assumed to be the manager, attempted to assist but communicated the system limitations without providing much flexibility. Despite my suggestion to separate the milkshake from the main transaction to facilitate the discount, the solution was not feasible due to operational constraints. What struck me most during this interaction was the lack of transparency regarding Patryk's position, which could have helped manage expectations better. Ultimately, I opted to pay the full price for the milkshake, understanding the challenges faced by the staff. As we prepared to leave, Patryk stopped us at the exit and provided contact details for further communication with the head office, causing a scene that was quite upsetting for both my colleague and me. Reflecting on the experience, I believe there's an opportunity for GBK Wimbledon Broadway to enhance its customer service by fostering clearer communication between staff and patrons. Also, worth mentioning that they stopped accepting Love Wimbledon cards without announcement to the customers or the staff. It was only found out at the end of the conversaton after Patryk rang up the head office. Edited: The handling of feebacks and complaints is so poor hence the change of the ratings

I ordered a food collection for take out. The food was very tasty, although burgers don't really travel well without falling apart. I was glad that I checked my order on collection as they'd forgotten the milkshakes (they weren't busy with 3 staff hanging around at the front - it was early evening). No apology was provided. I've been to GBK before at other venues as eat in where the staff were very attentive, so I hope this instance isn't indicative of a general drop in the level of service when making a collection. They also did not remove a large tomato from one of the burgers, whilst the sticker on the box of the burger said "no tomato". This subsequenly raised doubts as to whether they'd adherred to our "no nuts as nut allergy" request on the order. Looking at other reviews it looks like they need to improve on their accuracy of interpretting the orders.

Very nice polite young man called Alex B that served us who was on his 2nd day of employment made up for the dreadful welcoming we got from another Alex (bald) who was really miserable and gave me and my friend mucky miserable looks when we walked in.. food was good and new Alex was wonderful
