Gusto Italian in Stockport

We had a lovely meal at Gusto tonight and were served by the brilliant Francesa! All of our food was delicious and the service was faultless ☺️ thank you for a great evening!

Had a lovely meal here this evening with some very good friends. Food was great as always. Excellent table service by Naomi, who was very attentive.

I visited for the 50 % discount evening food was great with great service however the restaurant was very lound we could hardly hear ourselves. Although we had a good evening I felt the service charge was far to high and charity donation added without actually speaking to us about it first was all too much the service charge was more than 10 percent. Sorry will not be going again

Visited yesterday at teatime as a group of 4 and every meal was perfect we all loved it, our server Naomi was great attentive but not over bearing and a good personality we look forward to coming back

Oh my goodness! What a meal! Myself and my family (of 3) came in yesterday and had the fillet steak! I was told that it was good, but I didn’t believe it could be quite THIS good!!! Incredible! The atmosphere was great, the food was great but what really topped it off was the service! We had a very lovely, polite young lady called Naomi serving us and her customer service is second to none! She was very attentive, always happy to help and very quick answering questions for us and amazing at interacting with my son! Thank you Naomi for making our visit a memorable one!! Well done!

Friday evening at 7 30.When we started to look at the menu we were told that Cod veal and tuna were off the menu. Three mains missing. Also no scallops.We were told this was because of the sale! They know there is a sale and this runs through out January so surely more food needs ordering. Also chicken main was out of broccoli as they had none. Calamari started was big pieces of rubber. Didn't appreciate the lights being dimmed at 9 and then kitchen switched off so room was quite dark. Spoilt the ambience. Our server Sean was attentive and it was clearly not his fault.

We came to gusto for our works Christmas meal in December. The food was incredible as always but the service we received from Francesca was absolutely outstanding. She was so attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best night ever. She was knowledgeable about the food and drinks and knew exactly when to appear for topping up. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend gusto for a Christmas meal and we’ll definitely be back next year!!! Thank you so much!!

Francescas was brilliant, attended to our every need, super helpful, super positive and super brilliant. Had my disabled father and mother who don’t get out much with me for for my birthday with my adults kids. Will be visiting again!

Me and my husband love coming to Gusto Cheadle Hulme for a date night. The service from Francesca was fantastic, she was so friendly and attentive. Muzi who was working the bar made us the best cocktails as well! He made the biscoff martini vegan friendly for us and it was truly amazing! We had such a lovely time. Thanks guys!

Great service from all the staff making us feel really welcome. Sunday lunch was great with a big helping of very nice food. Only disappointment was the calamari starter. It used to be great with small bite size bits of fried squid now being replaced by big flat slices that were really chewy. Please bring back the old ones! Other than that really good experience although wine is very expensive.

Came with a friend for a birthday meal. Like the ambience inside the restaurant, tables nicely spaced and lighting just right. Love the food. Dough petals are a must and have nice variety of main courses to choose from. I was a bit dissapointed at the range of deserts on this visit as there was nothing on the menu I liked unless I liked biscoff. Lemon possett which I usually have was not on the menu. It would be nice to have more variety. Won't stop me from returning though.

Charlie was fantastic and the food was amazing as always

We've been going for Sunday dinner fairly regularly for about a year (since signing up to the Platinum card) so much so, that we have become quite fond of the staff and they always greet us warmly and make sure our visit is a pleasant experience and ensure that everything is just how we like it. Thanks to them all!! It's always my intention to review after each visit as the service is always a very high standard but I don't always have time but thankfully, they do and never makes us feel rushed and always take time to chat to us!! Their level of customer care isn't unique to us as I see 'regulars' when we dine there and I see staff taking time to chat to other diners. Of course, the food is always excellent and if it's not, they always put it right. Thank you and great job Team Gusto! Read less

Updated menu appeared a little rich (expensive) £38 for an inexpensive bottle of wine or £35 for a steak excluding veg, with more economical menu items 'sold out'. To be fair the food was good and service adequate.

We’ve been coming here for years and the service and food is always outstanding and consistent, whether it’s for lunch or dinner. Ciara and Muzi are fantastic and couldn’t recommend this place more.

Always fab food, and great atmosphere. We have got a platinum card now as we visit so often. There are great savings for £65 a year well worth it.

On going through the entrance door, we entered an atmosphere full of delight and fun being portrayed by the staff. There is a wide choice of menu and our party of 5 all enjoyed their dishes. We joined the loyalty membership scheme to benefit from the savings on the meal costs A wonderful ezperience and we can't wait to go again.

Had another lovely meal here a couple of weeks ago. Generally the food is very good, although I’ve found that occasionally the tuna steak has sold out - probably because it’s absolutely excellent. As a substitute the sea bass is amazing, but 2 of our party had the salmon and it wasn’t great - a small piece accompanied by a lot of undercooked and bland couscous. Otherwise v good. The service was excellent. Francesca was brilliant, as she always is. Very attentive, professional and great with the kids as well as the adults. Atmosphere is always good as the place is always busy. Going again tomorrow…!

Booked a table for my partners birthday on Monday 30th Sept evening. Expected to receive great food, drinks and service. What a let down! We arrived and were seated at our table promptly and pleasantly. There were a few other tables occupied but not overly busy. Looked through menu and was then advised that several things weren't available on the menu. Main course, salmon is no longer offered and instead replaced by Tuna - this was disappointing but knew other options were available. However, we were advised that something off the special Puglia menu wasn't available, off the main menu the chicken breast and the lasagne options weren't available either. Very disappointing. Chose dough petals for starter and my partner chose the bruschetta. The dough petals arrived and were burnt which meant the flavour was tainted. For main, decided to opt for the cod and my partner chose the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce. His steak arrived with the sauce in a small jug placed on the table for him to use himself. My cod arrived with a small jug of sauce that was poured all round my plate and over the cod without being asked. The cod was tasteless and it made the potatoes very salty so I ended up leaving it. Surely it's courtesy to be asked if you want the accompanying sauce pouring or not? Usually during the main course someone will come and check if the meal is ok, but no-one did even though it wasn't busy at all. I'd had enough at this point in the evening and so I didn't bother with dessert. My partner had the brownie and was then disappointed with the small sliver of a piece he received. Truly disappointed with the entire meal and experience. We've been to this restaurant several times before on a weekend and always had great service, atmosphere, amazing food and drink. But this occasion was terrible. It was a Monday, not a weekend, so we didn't expect unavailable items on the menu. It seems either a delivery hadn't arrived or hadn't been planned after the weekend. It was supposed to be a memorable celebration, but after the menu options and service let us down we just wanted to finish our meal and leave. The occasion was memorable for very different reasons. At the end of the evening we walked out and unlikely to return after a disappointing evening. Will not be recommending to our friends and family.

Last night, we had a lovely meal for my husband‘s birthday at gusto. We always love our food here. Pizzas are fabulous, but I am leaving a review for the first time Because I feel for a Wednesday night the restaurant had great atmosphere but I would mainly like to comment On our lovely waiter. His name was Sean He was so gentle and polite with the children and just seemed to totally read our family in the way he spoke and joked with us. He was great and made a whole meal experience once to remember.

Banging chateaubriands! Could’ve given more than a thimble of peppercorn sauce tho, aside from that no faults!

I think the food here is absolutely delicious. I've never had a bad or even average meal We were the only people in as went very early. So that's why I didn't give 5 stars for atmosphere.
