Happy Days in Islington

The most awful food i have ever had. We ordered 2 chicken and cheese baguettes and the man serving went in using no gloves. The chicken he used seemed left over. When we saw he used his bare hands my sister changed her order to cheese baguette only. He then wore gloves. I took my chicken and cheese baguette and it was the most awful thing i had ever tasted. We went to ask for a refund after tasting the sandwich, they refused our money back, and lied about using gloves. Avoid at all costs. Do not go. Do not waste your money. Very rude customer service.

The Iranian lady who made my food and served me was incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly and the food (falafel salad) was delicious, fresh, and flavoursome. I will most definitely be returning.

Tuvimos que mezclar kebab feliz día con tomate extra parrilla. Era plato Hugh y 3 de nosotros no pudimos terminarlo. Todo fue tan rápido. Muy recomendable

My friends & I always shop at Fonthill. We love the Happy Days Kitchen. The Food is wonderfully flavoured. Very clean and lovely environment. The staff are so welcoming and the price is just right. I even ordered a take away when leaving. 5 stars

I came to eat a burger and got food poisoning for a week -- The staff were nice, but forgot to serve me. I ordered a burger and a drink, the drink was excellent. The burger had hair in it, when I noticed, I stopped eating it and brought it to the counter. They wouldn't remake it and I had to pay full. I had food poisoning for a week and could barely move. For that reason I have to give it a negative review, even if the meat was poisoned by the meat factory, the staff should offer to redo it or refund. Edit: they replied and literally think I'm a different person. I guess multiple people get food poisoning from this place. I ordered a burger, I'm allergic to mayonnaise. I had to pay full price, no order was cancelled.

Very unhealthy filled with grease. Staff were shouting on each other in front of me I felt uncomfortable waiting for my food to pick up so I left the shop a. D was very unhappy with the taste of my food. My husband who likes greasy food also heated the sandwich so we throw it away. 🤮🤢🤮🤮 This is priced for £15

Just had a slow cooked lamb baguette, had loads of bones and 0 flavour. Persians are knowing for their flavours and this was just stale. Judging by the rest of the reviews i picked the worst dish. Dont try it!!

This is a quaint little place . I got a "Mediterranean wrap", which was a pitta bread filled with sliced suçuk, pieces of halloumi, and lots of salad. It was one of the tastiest things I'd had in a long time! I'd definitely eat here again and I rate it very highly.

This is a quaint little place. The staff were friendly and took my order very quickly. However, they seemed to have forgotten my order, and I had to remind them 20 minutes later! It is my second visit in a month, both time I was served by the same girl who was rude seems no customer service experience. The food takes ages to come on both occasions. The second time round, I had someone on special medical dietary requirements because I ordered the take away only menu. They did not serve it along my other menu. They served other customers who arrived half an hour after me, I suppose because they wanted to prove a point not to serve the food in case I eat with my family

I have ordered loaded fries with bacon and mince sausage and it was absouliy incredible. And choice wings kebab was so well cooked and tasty kebab

I visit happy day kitchen yesterday and I ordered chicken kebab wrap with chips . The chips was so fresh and kebab was delicious . I highly recommend it .

We always visit fonthil road for shopping and we visit happy day kitchen and we ordered kofteh kebab and chicken wing kebab lamb souvla. The food were absouluty fantastic and we had free chicken soup as well . When we said we didn't order the soup they told us they are revving all customer soup with their meal. So fresh tasty Highly recommend it

Not sure why to put this even one star. Absolutely don't deserve. Bad value of money and bad food quality. Everything just undercooked. Literally placed our order at 12:53 and received it after an hour after chasing them for time by time. Bad customer service and unhygienic food

A lovely stylish cafe/restaurant on fonthill road. Had an amazing time here. Food was great and we was served within a few minutes.The food was very delicious and filling…The customer service we experienced was outstanding!! No he estado en Font Hill Road en mucho tiempo y decidí probar un viejo favorito. Estábamos aprensivos ya que esperábamos que los estándares no se hubieran deslizado. No, no hay deslizamiento. La comida era fantástica (pollo, papas fritas y ensalada). Pollo fresco y sabroso. Si viviera en el área definitivamente visitaría más a menudo. Nos fuimos sintiéndonos muy satisfechos.

Grabbed a freshly grilled kofte kebab here after a day at Finsbury Park. Delicious meat, fresh salad & nice sauces.

We stopped in here whilst shopping for outfit for a wedding. The manger/owner was very friendly and rushed to our table with menus. Drinks were very quick and we ordered. Although the place is more of a diner /cafe the food prepared was as good as any other larger turkish restaurant. we enjoyed the lunch.

I was convinced to have lunch in Happy Days whilst in the area. First thoughts a bit cramped inside ( seating for 34 people). Not suitable inside for wheelchairs users. Seating for 10 outside. I had a tuna mayonnaise jacket £3.95 potato - the potato was cold, small and dry inside. The other diner had a Full English Breakfast and was very satisfied at £4.95 with Tea. The toilet never had enough tissue and still operating a system of putting your used tissue in the bin. The bin was over flowing and they need to change from a swing bin to a pedal or alternatively sort out the plumbing / sewage to accept tissue in the toilet. The cladded feature wall is done to a poor standard and it looks uncompleted. Extra £1 for eating in. The staff were polite and food arrived quickly.

We had a very reasonably priced Lunch here, excellent Turkish sausage and Cheese omelette and salad, and Budget Breakfast with toast and Tea. Cheap but very cheerful

My parents and I were staying in the apartments next door to Happy Days, and we had breakfast each morning here. What a little gem. It's a great place, the owners and staff are fantastic and so friendly. We had the budget breakfast each day, it was more than enough for us and they use such great ingredients. The fresh orange juice is amazing, so much so that my Dad was asking for take away cups of it. A perfect start to the day! It's about a 5 minute walk from Finsbury Park tube station. Highly recommend!

I was greeted with a hello by my man the Don. As a regular he gave me a free hot chocolate with my £5 full english breakfast. His son Denis had offered me a free dessert but i passed . Furthermore i enjoyed my service

As soon as I walked in I thought I was in heaven. The Don was treating me like a God, he is also quite attractive. They served me in 57 minutes, which was perfect, because in Tottenham Kebab it is only 15 minutes to get served. There was a lot of toilet paper in the toilet, and I could not do a number 2. I loved the water, but the kebab was quite dry. Personally I recommend Tottenham Kebab down the road.

Fantastic place, great atmosphere, the Don makes amazing breakfast and lunch as well as this the prices are amazing. Probably the best food I've had in a while btw the chicken is amazing!!! Would highly recommend.

Happy Days Café & Grill is located a few minutes walk from Finsbury Park station. I had an English breakfast here but I was confused how the vegetarian breakfast cost more than a meat breakfast. Does the mushrooms and hash browns cost more than sausages and bacon? At least they're prepare to substitute a hot chocolate instead of a tea or coffee. I was disappointed when the breakfast arrived, as they didn't ask how I liked my eggs done. Toilets were available, but toilet paper had to be placed in the bin (they expected you to touch the swing bin lid to place in there). It was quiet, nicely decorated for a Café. But I won't visit again.

Have been eating here regularly for over two years now so this is kind of a belated review! May not look like much since it is a small place but it's one of the best grills I came across in the area (if not London). Excellent choice for both breakfast and lunch and decent prices too. Only drawback is that they close at 6 but everyone needs a rest right?
