Not bad chippy at all, the spring rolls were the standout, delicious. Fried rice and curry very mild, nothing special but familiar Chinese comfort. Chips and gravy wasn't all that bit bland hence the 4 stars Local enough to the hospital to still be warm when returning to the ward. Will be using again in future

Worst Chinese I’ve ever eaten chips were really greasy chicken was dry and fatty curry was freezing and tasted awful and noodles were dry all in all don’t waste your money in this place its time for them to close the shutters for good !!!

Despite its 2-Star Food Standards Agency rating it is the best tasting Chinese food of all the takeaways I have visited in the local area. The Special Foo Yung is a firm favourite of mine and the Spring Rolls are huge! The downside is that it is cash only (no card payments), they don’t deliver, and there are only two people behind the counter (one serving and one cooking) so you might have to wait a while during busy periods.

Ordered salt and pepper chicken and soft noodles bland as anything. No onions or bean sprouts in noodles, chicken was just bland with onions and chilli's thrown in. Wouldn't recommend

Food is consistently good, rarely need to wait long either when ordering ahead or calling in for orders

Excellent, got fish and chips here. All freshly cooked. Cash only btw. Food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Had it for the first time this week and it’s amazing. The sweet and sour chicken is a fave. The spring rolls were wayyy bigger than expected, so be warned. Would definitely recommend!

Found the equivalent of H & C Chippy but in Ashton, great chippy and great food, definitely recommend this place!

Worst chippy in the area! Had a drink! don't go in here if she thinks you have had a drink you get over charged, when you order your meal make sure you have got what you ordered have been in tonight and ordered curry and got gravy but paid for curry, go up the road to Kings next to the White Horse much nicer food and you don't get ripped off.

Been getting my grandad tea from here some nights as he doesn't like the hospital food and it's close enough for it to still be hot for him and he's a fussy eater but has said the meat and potato pie is cooked just right for him (he's got no teeth and finds it hard a lot of the time) and the rice was just right and the curry sauce is the best he's had in ages and enough sauce thankyou for making my grandads day 😊

Always great tasting Chinese and English food.

Only went there because it was a Bank Holiday and everywhere else was closed. The chips were very greasy, so was the fish, staff not very friendly either. Wouldn't go there again.

The nicest chippy around here for traditional chips, pies, sausages and fish. Chinese meals aren't bad either.

Ordered over the phone said 20 minutes, when I got there they hadn't even done it yet. The BBQ sauce did not taste like BBQ sauce, the egg fried rice had no taste, the chips had an awful after taste, the seaweed was dirt. The chow mein is not Chinese style at all. Beef was disgusting and I've never seen a Chinese do noodles that way and with the worst sauce ever. Safe to say I wasted 20 pound as We couldn't eat any of it apart from the prawn crackers. So disappointed. Won't ever go there again. Vile
