Great food and lovely management, particularly being so kind to me in our not so great New Year circumstances (house fire that kept us out of our home for three weeks!) Would highly recommend this place for good food and great hospitality! So welcoming to dogs as well which really helped in my situation. We enjoyed some really good deals as well on the app which really helped too. My teenage son and his friend loved the food and we will definitely be back… a lot! Went for lunch on Sunday. The place absolutely stinks like a toilet. Half the restaurant was closed due to this but apparently it’s ok for the other half to be open. No mention of this when they sit you at a table. Should have left really not great eating lunch in that environment.

Food was OK not great Service pretty good though but it wasn't busy and the waiter was helpful and promoted using their app which saved some money which was good

Spent an evening and had breakfast the following morning. Both times, we were met with friendly staff and served quickly. The breakfast was delicious and great quality. We had top up coffee and this was served to us without having to ask.

This is our local pub / restaurant The bar area is dog friendly so we can order food from the table. We all love it here. They gave me a bowl of water for Ernie last time I came.

Went for breakfast with family! It was totally inedible in my opinion! Am not a fan of this place at all!

Had amazing service from Airan today! She was solo managing the restaurant yet took extra good care of us. Food was delicious as usual She made our night wonderful with her politeness and positive attitude.

Me and my girlfriend visited late last night, close to . We were greeted by Airan who allowed us to still be served for food every though the kitchen was close to closing and she was on Frint of house all by herself!! Updated review: January 2025 Welcomed nicely by waitress who was very attentive. The place has had a makeover which is lovely. Salad bar tidy. Unfortunately, there was a weird smell in the restaurant. Smells like they have a plumbing issue with the toilets. Not pleasant when trying to eat. I had the original combo which was nice. My partner had satay chicken skewers: avoid ordering this. They've NO clue about how to make a satay sauce. The chicken was over cooked and dry whilst the flat bread was partly raw. My mum had the mixed grill which was good except for the steak which was grisly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was ruined by a family who's children was allowed to watch videos on full volume, very inconsiderate and management/staff really should stop parents allowing this uncivilised behaviour. The food is poor value for money. After giving them a second chance, I won't be back. There are pubs and restaurants that are cheaper and offer better quality and value for money. Sad as we used to visit weekly. They are short on staff and as a result, service is poor and the poor staff are run ragged. The food is horrible. The garlic bread is like a door stop and lacking in garlic. The breaded mushrooms are bland. Gammon main was fine. Unless you order from the boring set menu, it's poor value for money. I won't be back.

Don't have the jacket potato if you don't like salt. The camembert tart was nice the jacket was small and really salty skin not very nice.

Huge improvement since last time when we stopping coming to harvester restaurants, and we were regulars. Service was great, front of house manager could have been more accommodating though, food was value for money.

Booked for Christmas day as a treat, food was hot, plentiful, staff polite and attentive. Unhurried and enjoyable visit, would highly recommend Christmas lunch, in place of cooking, washing up, etc

Good service and value for money

Being New Year Eve, staff pushed to the limit. Our server was on a double shift due to staff shortages.

Came here for Christmas dinner. Service was a little slow but it was relatively busy. All starters were nice, the Turkey meat on the main was good but limited roast potatoes and all vegetables were undercooked. I had the feather blade beef which was nice. I had plenty of roast potatoes with well cooked and tasty parsnips and carrots but the sprouts and peas again were undercooked. The beef dripping gravy was delicious. Apple pie desserts were nice and not too sweet. The lemon roulade dessert was nice but exceptionally sweet. Three course Christmas meal was £68pp and a little over priced I think for what you got. We enjoy Harvester as a pub restaurant on a usual basis but I don’t think I’ll be returning for Christmas dinner. Crackers were provided on every table which was a nice added touch.

Very good value for money, good presentation, good cooked breakfast. It’s definitely better than the local cafes in my opinion. The morning bar lady was very friendly and helpful. The food took a bit too long to come out, had to ask, but worth the wait, I understand it was a very busy morning.

Just had a great meal from the festive menu served up by possibly the most overqualified server that we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Heather, was an absolute pleasure to speak with. Having just completed her masters in cancer research, she moved to London to follow her dreams of working in the research of finding a cure for cancer. Good luck Heather, and thanks for your wonderful service. Hope you get all of the gratuity.

Had a great lunch with friends. Staff saw I was struggling with carrying some flowers (as I have a walking stick) and came out of the restaurant to help me. All the staff were great but a special mention to Debbie who made our dining experience even better.

Popped in for a random lunch, the lady who greeted us - her name was Debbie, and served us was lovely. So friendly, so polite and welcoming. Brilliant waitress and a credit to Hervester. Would come here just to be served by her.

Whilst the unlimited salad bar is greatly appreciated, I would not recommend here if your vegetarian and coming for dinner. More than half of their vegetarian options are only available until 5pm leaving with you with only 2 greasy plant burger options and not many other choices. The staff are v friendly and the decor is nice but the food is basic and not worth the price if it was lower you would understand what you were paying for

Breakfast was mainly cold.coffer cold.we paid extra for coffee refills.couldnt even drink the first one.bill was £22 , paid with a £50note and got balance paid in £1coins young lady who served us was very nice and apologised.we will not be going back.

My family ate here on Sunday and will never go back again! As soon as we seated all we could smell was a very bad strong smell of urine,made me feel sick to the stomach. The food was disgusting and as a result my little girl ended up in a&e due to the food and is still unwell today 2 days later! It's a huge disappointment and a total waste of money, think twice before eating in there!!

Great place to eat friendly staff

Came here Saturday night and the food was delicious and fresh. We was well looked after by our waiter. The salad bar was constantly tended to. Food was faultless and I can’t wait to go back. The corn bread with the ribs was delicious!!

Stopped for lunch, the staff were amazing. Tried a new share plate on the menu , omg ! was amazing, no way we could get close to finishing today but we will Be back for it again.

We visited the George Inn on both Tues 29th and Wed 30th Oct for dinner as a family, whilst visiting the local theme park. Both evenings we recieved outstanding service from Viraj & Airan. The best service we have had in longer than we can remember anywhere. Friendly, helpful and personable. Nothing was too much trouble, other members of the team we saw, were also very friendly and polite. The restaurant was clean, family friendly and the food was lovely. I cannot understate how impressed we were, with the service we received and feel both members of the team should be commended. Thank you for adding to the joys of our trip, if we were local, we would definitely visit again.

Staff members Jamie, Debbie and Nate has taken customer service to new heights, they all delivered excellent customer service towards me and they all deserve pay rises and promotions to progress in the company I would recommend harvester to all my family and friends and the food is incredibly delicious and makes you always come back

Nice atmosphere, food looked great but let down by taste. Burger was very nice, I'd recommend that. Rib was poor, my child only had a bite if kids pizza and didn't want to eat anymore. Chips were nice and crispy on the outside fluffy inside. The salad bar was great too, nice selection, came free with main meals. We love the selection of sauces available, not just the regular ketchup and bbq sauces but hot chilli, peri peri sauces were great. Big car park and lots spaces, need to register the reg no in the restaurant. If you want a quick and easy bite, this is good place.

My favourite Harvester of all, in and around Croydon, love the building, the waiters, the food quality, the salad bar, just all top.

I have been charged parking penalty £100, no one told me I had to register my car. I am trying to sort it out via Harvester website but no reply. I would not recommand.

We had a lovely meal here with the family, children's meal, very good value for money. Food was cooked to our liking, and the salad bar was nice. Adult meals slightly over priced i would say, but they where very nice, quick service from after ordering to getting food.

Hannah is an absolute a asset to this restaurant, warm welcoming and a pleasure to speak to. If only more people were like her.

Absolutely rubbish, it’s like this is not harvester chain. The food was cold, mi wife couldn’t finish her maple&bacon pancakes absolutely no fluffy at all as mentioned in menu and the quality of my English breakfast was not acceptable cold, poor, bacon missing. We came without any doubt because we go often to harvester in our town Bournemouth and it’s great. Head office should inspect this restaurant as it doesn’t look to be part of harvester, send a mystery quality shopper please.

Food was not bad. Rolls a bit dry and worst of all they substituted the great sweetcorn with a cheap corn cake. Couldn't eat it, dry and tasteless. Bring backbreaking sweetcorn.

Always seems short staffed. Tables are often cluttered with used plates and glasses. Bar service is good, staff are friendly and welcoming.

I had lunch with my friends on Sunday, We found it a bit pricey for what we had , however the service was great, staff were really friendly and helpful. We had the salad with our main and I liked the buffet it was clean and organized. Overall the place was very busy and of course we booked a table ( I highly recommend to do so the automated system is great)

I found the food for the most part to be really, very good.. The sausages were slightly overcooked but I mean the food was really good in general.. The owner negative experience was that I think a busy times. This place need a lot more stuff. It is just so busy in here and the thing is the pulsed off just cannot keep up another in the kitchen. You can wait easily an hour for food. This isn't the star's fault, they are worked absolute death, and that's not a criticism of the establishment because they do a really good job. I just think, well, maybe you need a few more members stuff to take the pressure off them.. I will visit again. I mean, The food is good to serve us. Good in general and I do recommend it.

Came for dinner yesterday for the first time in a while. The guy greeting people and seating them was very friendly but was filthy dirty, his trousers were hanging down his backside and all stained, he smelt so bad that if he had been our waiter we was going to ask for someone else, he was sweating and looked absolutely disgraceful to be working in a food environment. Everytime he walked past our table while eating it would leave a smell and it was very off putting. There was a new menu that we both struggled to chose from, have got rid of alot of the old classics, no salmon now or smaller choices after 5pm. was mainly burgers and heavier dishes. the chicken strips were dry as a bone and tasteless, the ribs didn't have much sauce either. Was not impressed. The waiter was friendly but i wouldn't return.

Visit Croydon quite regularly and this has become my staple place to eat, Rocked up today around 1.30 without booking, if I'm honest the greeter wasn't very welcoming but wasn't rude and sorted us a table for 3 very quickly and efficiently, Now the table staff here are nothing short of AMAZING I can genuinely say I've never encountered such pleasant and friendly staff. And Today I was served quite possibly the nicest mixed grill I've ever eaten, it was cooked to perfection, the other 2 dishes (a chicken classic and a rump steak) were equally as nice. Look forward to my next visit

Just as expected at a harvester. Staff are all helpful, good food . No issues at all.

Usually Harvesters can be relied upon, at least to the level you know what you are getting regardless of where you go. Sadly, our recent visit, we found some of the bread rolls from the salad bar to have mould on them, and followed up by food arriving at the table fairly cold. Whilst the staff did resolve the issue, the experience was tarnished whilst half the party had their food whilst the other half was being remade. Other tables also had various niggles so it didn't seem like an isolated incident that evening. Otherwise the service was fine and the atmosphere to be expected from a Harvester/hotel restaurant.

Great food, great venue and lovely team. For a generic restaurant it was exactly what we expected. Think it's been refurbished recently so looked lovely too.
