Changing times call for changing menu choices; as the one constant is that variety, is the spice of life. Forgoing our normal preference for some heat in our food, we went mild and chose two Chicken Tikka Nawabi, a creamy coconut dish. We had a mixture of onion and garlic rice and a Peshwari Naan. Delivery was good and the food was extremely tasty. It was one of the most enjoyable meals that we have for some time.

Having exhausted all the takeaways in Washington, we decided to venture further afield. We both went for the Tandoori Mixed Grill. I have to say that whilst having been given a one hour delivery time, our food arrived after an impressive 25 minutes. Impressive, as it takes the best part of 10 minutes to drive from Pelton to Washington. Our food was reasonable enough. The lamb was a little bit tough and the single prawn, had the skin left on; which I personally dislike, as I have no desire to get fishy fingers, attempting to remove it. The cubes of chicken and the chicken on the bone, were both nice, as was the sheek kebab. The other chicken was however, a bit slimy. It was not the best but it was by no means the worst. They do have a good variety of dishes on their menu and some quite unusual ones, not available on most "curry" menus. I'm not a fan of all the boxed meals on offer or the other supposedly tempting bargain offers, as I don't believe in most cases, that they are the bargains that they are made out to be. They also restrict your choice. A nice touch was the two complementary popadoms.

We ordered four main dishes and four rices. Not the best Indian meals from a takeaway, very bland and not very tasty or spicy. We had the Tikka lamb sag,Chicken Makani, Chicken Hariali ( green curry),and the Shatkora chicken bhuna, and to be honest we have had better boxed curries from the supermarket which were alot cheaper than the £35 we paid for this take away. The lamb was hard and you did not get very much meat in the dishes. the Chicken Makani was very sweet.. The Chicken Hariali ( green curry did not look very appetising at all A very basic curry from a take away, We would not use this cuury house again.

We ordered by phone and were told it would be a one hour wait. After an hour and a quarter a phone call to chase we were told it was on its way. Over an hour and a half the delivery arrived. One meal completely missing, one incorrectly made with tikka lamb not ordinary lamb. Everything cold and absolutely dreadful, no resemblance to the dishes ordered and naan bread like the soles of your shoes. This qualifies as the worst Indian food ever and the shoddiest service from a takeaway in all my experience. Do yourself a favour and avoid this establishment.

Ordered take away food for family get together. Missing dishes, 1 hour 40 min wait. All food cold. Don’t waste your money and go to M&S and buy out of the chiller.

I had not had food from here in over 18 years. The dansak I had then was a rich brown colour and just hot enough to make yer nose run!Tonight the starters and main course bore no resemblance. The tandooi chicken was hard as were both king prawns in the other dish. There was an extremely greasy chapatti and a soft poppadum.Maybe the fault was caused by the delivery time...but it was not late. There are several other eateries I use around here and I shall return to them. The Hungry house review asks for constructive criticism......get a book on spices I say

Give this place the benefit of the doubt a few times now, they don’t know how to make a pizza it’s simple toppings always too saucy falls off the pizza dough to stretched out so ends up with holes on bottom of base

While the atmosphere was... well, interesting, the sticky carpet was a constant reminder that perhaps cleanliness wasn't a top priority. It was as if the bar had been the site of a particularly messy cocktail party that had gone on for decades.
