A lovely place for either a quick bite in the morning or a fish supper. I had the breakfast and it was delicious, nothing was fatty or greasy, first time I have had turkey bacon too. I’m convinced! Everything was cooked perfectly, and the staff were friendly. A great start to my day!

Mostly nice and the food is very tasty. The workers are friendly. The Portion is good for the Price but i would still like it to be a bit cheaper we payed 43£ for to fish and chips and a small water. But otherwise i would say 4,5 stars ✨ The fish was fresh and crispy and the fries also.

The place is awesome, nice music, very especial ambience and the waiters are accommodating and pleasant. The meal was so good and tasty. We tried the haddock. The only one thing that we didn’t like was the concept of “service charge”, maybe its typical on British restaurants, but for us, was new. Anyway, its a place to recommend to go and enjoy.

Food is impeccable and just what was needed on a rainy day. Charlie’s service was wonderful and quite charming, highly recommend as this is high quality stuff!

Disappointed, to say the least. The fish and chips were just okay, not the best. We chose this spot based on the many good reviews, as it was our last day in London. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst fish and chips we had during our trip. The fish was overly oily with little to no seasoning. The batter was heavy, soaked in oil, and clearly hadn’t been drained enough. There are far better options elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The English Breakfast is good, this is not the case everywhere in the neighborhood. Very good value for money. I have eaten the best fish & ships.

I typically never leave reviews on Google because I either don’t rate the restaurants enough or I don’t remember the experience well enough to write a review. However I will make an exception to Jack the Chipper. We went into the restaurant without any prior knowledge or experience about the food or the service, though we were pleasantly surprised. The service starts at the entrance where you’re walked to your seats and given the menus. Your order is then shortly delivered thereafter so you don’t have to wait a lot. The food itself, I had a regular Cod fish and Chips, my friends had 2 cod fish and chips. In my many visits to cities and London in particular have I never tasted such an amazing taste. The batter itself was the right amount of crisp, the fish had a great texture. The dish itself wasn’t dry yet wasn’t too moist to the point it became too much. All in all, a great place to eat when you’re in London, would highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely atmosphere , great chips, lovely sticky pudding .. but the icing on the cake was black jacks and fruit salads. The manager was so fun and welcoming , the staff friendly. Even the name of the place and decor was great. Enjoy it !

We were there for the second time. We liked it again. There is a delicious breakfast and the fish and chips are also very tasty. The decor is cool and the service is nice and friendly.

Big and rich English breakfast. The restaurant is cool and lovingly furnished. However, there is a star deduction here because goods were delivered during breakfast time. This not only made it uncomfortable while eating, but the front door was constantly opening when it was 0°C.

All the way from Australia and the name “ jack the chipper” caught our attention. A day later we entered and we’re not disappointed at all, quality service and delicious fish and chips would highly recommend for anyone

I expected at least a generous portion given the cost, but the serving sizes were extremely underwhelming. The piece of fish was small, and the amount of chips was laughable — barely enough to satisfy even a light appetite. To make matters worse, the atmosphere didn’t feel like it justified the premium pricing either. While the staff were friendly enough, the lack of portion size for the price left me feeling shortchanged. If you’re looking for a hearty, satisfying fish and chips experience, this isn’t the place. Save your money and find somewhere that offers better portions for a fair price.

Just around the corner from Ibis hotel say 5 mins walk. Great service from Ozan.They serve breakfast from 7am to 3pm. Fish and chips are serve from 11am. Since suffered from jet lag and still on Sydney hours they accommodate by letting me order fish and chips before 11am.

Very nice food. It's a shame I had to close the door on a cold December morning when the staff didn't do so.

The food is good, but not excellent. The fish was fresh and tasty, although slightly overdone. The decor is as you could expect from a dine in chippy. Prices at the door reflect take away. I think they could have shown both take away and dine in.

Have just been to this establishment if there was more than 5 stars I would give it, there was 5 of us over on holidays and passed this place earlier in the day n said we would call back, food was absolutely amazing as well as the hospitality, manager was very nice there n even gave us 5 key rings going away, there was a musician playing there who was very good on guitar and added to the atmosphere mushy peas with fish was absolutely delicious 🤤 will be back again would definitely recommend 😋

Dinner for two. The restaurant itself combines classic fish & chips cuisine with the flair of an American diner. We also had live music from a really good singer. The fish is really very good. We tried both the cod and the haddock. The fries were a little too cold and soft. The remoulade with the fish was again very tasty. All in all, I would describe the cuisine as simple but very tasty. We'd love to come back.

Ok it’s in the same neighborhood as Jack the Ripper use to operate so I give it 10/10 on naming! Great name. Many options for the fish. I have the traditional and it was great. They actually let me sit and drink a bit without any rush so I thought that was really great since I had been walking around London all day. Upstairs is like a time capsule of retro furniture and furnishings check my pics. They have me so much candy with the check. 👍

I went there with my wife in November, I had the cod fish and she had the hallibut. Normal portions, without infamy or praise (a little too dry compared to others we tried). Perfect haddock and perfect chips. I would have preferred a crusty roll rather than a brioche bun, but that is a personal choice. Will try the halibut next time. The staff were very polite and friendly.

We walked into this bar by chance and to our surprise it was incredible. Great food and service, especially by Adam who made our dinner super enjoyable with a close and friendly treatment. Our daughter loved it and so did we, we will definitely return.

Absolutely 100% do not get fish and chips here. It’s styled like a 1950s American diner. The music is beyond trash. And the food is extremely mediocre and overpriced. Yuck

Called a little after 10pm looking for a place to eat and they were so accommodating. Charlie was such a great host and made the cold evening a tad warmer with his service.

Honest review here. Went an hour after lunch for takeout. Didn’t have any haddock or large cod left so I only got the regular cod. Surprisingly still good and crispy for takeout. Fish is nice and chips are also excellent. No tartare sauce though.. was given mayonnaise instead.. is it me or that’s not normal?
