Weatherspoons is always good for reasonably priced beer and food. Normally good service and value

Never have we had such bad service from bar staff. Rude. Arrogant and openly insulting customers. Absolutely disgusting to be insulted when you ask for a larger top to be given a shandy and the server jokes to other about you moaning about the amount of lemonade!! If we had wanted a shandy we would have asked for a shandy!!!And then they literally through your change at you!!! You need to train your staff with customer service!!

A small breakfast for £2.99 is quite a deal. If you can’t eat much in the morning, this portion is just right. For an extra £1.25, you can get a tea or coffee with free refills. A large breakfast is only £4.99 too!

Of the two Wetherspoon's pubs in central Milton Keynes, the location simply named "Wetherspoon's" is the superior choice. This spacious establishment features a high-beamed ceiling in its main area, offers ample seating, and employs a responsive and attentive staff. The mobile ordering application functioned flawlessly, with beverages arriving within five minutes and meals within seven. The men's restrooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The outdoor seating area is a significant asset during summer months, offering abundant sunlight, while the interior remains surprisingly warm in winter. However, some tables near the entrance may experience drafts due to foot traffic and the proximity to smoking/vaping areas. Anticipate full capacity from Friday at 4:00 PM onward. In summary, this Wetherspoon's exemplifies operational excellence. Congratulations to the management and staff.

Wetherspoon never disappoints! I had their Indian curry last week, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. 👌😁 The naan was soft, the rice fluffy, and the sides completed the meal beautifully. Great value for such amazing quality. 👍👍 Highly recommend for a satisfying and tasty dining experience!😍😍

Bit like Ronseal... Does what it says on the tin. You get what you pay for , however everything is constantly good. Well done Spoons!

*Update Nov 2024* Recently visited one of the Wetherspoons in Milton Keynes and I have to say the level of service had dramatically improved. Had a slight issue with my food order and the management were excellent in dealing with it. Unfortunately the menu still needs improving. ,....,......................... Have been going here for years but the menu needs improving. It seems that unless you like bacon or bacon flavoured mayonnaise your out of luck and are limited in choice.

Friendly staff, decent food and drink at adequate cost. Plenty of space and not too loud.

Decent food, quick serviced oomph Bar was spot-on, dessert was really rather nice. Atmophere was ok, good mix of Ages. Would go again.

Always nice luke warm food available! Too many tables makes it difficult to move around and spoils the atmosphere 😔 The female staff are always very friendly 😁

Busy Friday night and plenty of staff serving behind the bar. The usual great selection of ales and now there is also Erdinger Weiss Zero, a fine designated driver tipple.

Tried to order the breakfast on the app but the WiFi was not working properly, so ordered at the bar. The food was with us in less than 10 minutes. Excellent breakfast, service very good.

Cheap and cheerful, chips were a bit soggy. Pub wax very busy.

Beer good. Prices excellent..service ok..dropped a star (and not the fault of Wetherspoon) because unlike most Wetherspoon pubs...this is not a rescue of an old historic building or any building of any note. It's a soulless structure. Felt like I was in an airport bar.

This is a welcoming pub with quick, friendly service and extremely competitive pricing. If you are looking for good quality but fewer frills, good value, this is perfect. I visited on a Saturday night, and there were very proactive security personnel in attendance, a little stern but maybe necessary when dealing with customers in an overly merry state!

This spoonies has greatly improved. The food is always lovely as is the atmosphere 👌

I ordered the large breakfast, but it was disappointing. The portion of beans was laughably small—barely even half a spoonful. The toast was burnt around the edges but still soft and barely toasted in the middle. And the fried eggs were so overcooked they were practically solid, making them difficult to eat. Quite a letdown overall.

Cold burger and chips, wouldn't recommend this at all.

A great place if you want to eat typical English things. I was amazed, good beer and good food.

Went on a Thursday lunchtime, and it was very busy food was OK but could have been better. Tables were not clean when we went in and had to move a load of plates before we sat down. When our food did arrive they still didn't clean the table until we asked.

The beer selection has improved considerably over the past couple of years and the food quality has also improved by a good margin. Having online ordering means no need to fight for space at the bar. Several years ago I wouldn't have recommended going here but now I would.

2018: Very good range of real beers, but venue can lack atmosphere 2022:. Nothing much has changed in four years, still best range of real ales in city. Still lacks atmosphere. Good value! Staff are great as well. 2024: Still the same - all the above still applies

Had a lovely meal when it arrived the server said sorry we have no peas so said I can get you some mushrooms so I said okay, just as I was Finishing my meal they brought my mushrooms 🤣😂🤣 Well should I say mushroom ❗

It was good very busy but still good service food came fast and was still good thought about going again last night but didn't want to walk back up the hill to the hotel lol

Nice spoons this one close to the station. It does tend to get very, very busy late afternoon/early evening, especially at weekends. For those who know MK’s history, the pub has that unique contemporary style about (you’ll find very few old buildings in MK - or the ‘new town’ as it was once known. It also has MK’s efficiency about it, with toilets on the same Level as the bar!! Food/beer/service is the usual excellent spoons standard and decent fast free wifi too. Very clean, lots of ales on. If you are down for football or an event at Stadium MK, there is a convenient bus stop directly outside the pub, where the X1 coach stops and takes you directly to the stadium for £2, bargain! For the return leg, look across the road when you get off the coach and you can take the X1 back to pub for a pint, again, all for just two quid! Enjoyed my visit to this one. 👍

Standard spoons fare. Couple of drinks and scampi and chips. All good.

Pleasant Spoons with easy parking for a quick drink. Good selection of keg and cask beer. Real ale in good condition. Very tidy for a Spoons, no plates left on tables.

Nice pub in "the hub" Milton Keynes. Quiz going on which is unusual in a weatherspoons but not overly disruptive and actually easy to join or take part. Server arguing with me, apparently the tilll is different to the menu and she didn't understand what I was saying. Walked off to help a colleague without any apology to me. Food delivered quick and hot and get what you pay for. Overall good night, average food, been to better for similar prices. Would return and recommend though.

It's. Wetherspoons, but the location is great, first time in Milton Keynes and though it was a special place!

Breakfast was poor,overcooked egg,toast without butter,not very hot! Staff at the front of house were efficient and friendly.

Nice pub, but found it noisy for me, no quiet room. But then again i was there just after 6 so it wad busy and packed just mange to find a table. Parking is good.

Very good service very good on food

Large 'Spoons which happens to be on the way up from or down to the train station. Stopped for a swift and a bite and it's OK. A strange mix of panelled room, raised area and late 80's glazed exterior to match every other squat building in Milton Keynes. Staff young and keen but this particular spoons needs a cohesive refresh.

Great atmosphere big crowd having a beer or two before going to festival

First time at a Wetherspoons. No glasses offered with bottled water served at the bar, they had run out apparently. Ordered Panini with fries, very bland and no side salad. Had to get our own sauces. Absolutely no service from the server (who looked miserable) will never return!

Great place and prices you can afford for a good quality meal and a drink.

Food is typical pub food but lovely! And such good value for money! Drinks are also so well priced you absolutely can't go wrong!

Good prices but there was a fight when we were there

The food was poor. Not good examples of vegan friendly food.the burger was dry, and there wasn't much guacamole or salsa in it. My boyfriend had vegan curry, and the rice wasn't well cooked, and the naan was hard and crispy. Naan should be soft and delicious. Really wasn't impressed with the food at all.

I have going to this place since the day it opened two . Thankfully nothing much has changed. We have been holding our Fantasy Football auction here for over two decades which we describe as the best night of the year. Don't expect real gourmet food but the beer is cheap and the food is good.

Ryan, the duty manager, made our visit here really special after an error in service could have made it not a good one. He went above and beyond to rectify the situation and gave us diligent attention and made sure that we felt taken care of and had the best time. I don’t often get to spend time with my daughter but he really made it a great visit. Thank you Ryan.

Came for a drink and food after a day with my mum and we had one issue which was quickly resolved. Ryan was lovely and helped us deal with it and was very accommodating afterwards. Thank you so much Ryan 🫶🏻

I visited the nearby Premier Inn after booking the incorrect Avebury Blvd hotel and was annoyed at first as I assumed there was only the Moon Under Water in MK. So once I realised this was close by my error was relegated to a minor mistake. A large spoons with lots of seating and even had a quiz night.

Usual mixture of good food and value pricing. Not enough staff at the bar but they hope that will make you use the app I suppose. Better on the latest visit. Must have managed to hire more staff, it was busy, but still good service and the staff were friendly and helpful. Update 20/7/24 : Still good and exceptionally good value on drinks. One third of the price of other local pubs. One customer ahead of me bought a round of drinks (three 1pint beers, and the total was less than £5!! ) the customer couldn't believe it and commented loudly to all at the bar. If you're a drinker, you'd be mad to go anywhere else.

This place has been very busy on my two visits, The service from the staff is very good. The food is very good. The wait times for food are not very long, considering the place was very busy (not more than 10 minutes). Using the app to order is really easy. The Atmosphere pleasant.🙂

Went here during the football semi-final, despite the pub being full I was served straight away and ordering on the app was also quite quick

Good choice of beers and tried the new crispy chicken burger and pint. Really good value for money. Just think the place needs a uplift as now looking a little dated.

Order piri chicken got lemon chicken instead and told it was same thing but bonus I got piri sauce to cover it with attitude to cover it over 🤮 Onion rings delivered cold and Mgr with attitude delivered others quickly launched onto table again with attitude she must have had busy say 🤬🤬 No way to be role model to your staff and yes I did notice you laughing when you were told

Menu has got a lot more expensive recently for no difference in quality or amount. Tennessee burger ordered but had to pay additional for the tennessee sauce (the only thing that actually sets it apart from a normal burger on the menu) won't make that mistake again

Crowded on a Friday afternoon. Very noisy. Prices are good and food quality is moderate. Ok for the city if you are on a tight budget
