Great breakfast and lunch options with home roast organic coffees!

I dropped in recently with a colleague to grab a drink and have a chat. We stood by the counter for a couple of minutes watching the member of staff watch the new coffee grinder, which seems to have replaced a lot of the seating, and then shouted at each other (because the new grinder brings to the place the ambience of a jet engine) that we might as well go to Fuckoffee down the road - given they had over 20 customers crammed in there and Jimmy had only one, we clearly weren't the only ones to think this...

Really good banana bread. Matcha was warm and comfortable, but after the first few sips I noticed that it needed to be whisked a bit better. Both items were on the more pricier side too. Good atmosphere and seating.

Grabbed a coffee on the way to work - it was very expensive and the lid didn't fit on the takeaway cup. I asked for a new lid/cup but they were all the same. The coffee spilt as I walked along all over my coat, I couldn't drink it without it spilling out the side and was cold by the time I got to work. How can you be a coffee shop without suitable cups? This is the absolute basics. Such a waste of money.

First time going to this place and really wanted to like it. It did have a nice atmosphere, slightly odd seating though. Service was nice but food very disappointing. If you’re paying £10 for breakfast pancakes please don’t just serve was seem like supermarket bought ‘Scottish pancakes’ with a drizzle of syrup. Omelette also mediocre. If this place got their food sorted then would be great. Some way to go

The cutest cafe on Goswell Road! The staff is super friendly and they have a very cosy quirky decor. Really good coffee and food and they do student/NHS discount which is always a bonus! Highly recommend :)

What a lovely find - made my day! I often pop in here before/after I pick up my daughter from school. Excellent coffee (they roast coffee beans on site!), tasty breakfasts/lunches and very friendly staff. I find that the choice of music, the decor, the bookshelf with good reads makes it a very quirky, relaxing place to be and a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of London streets. Great job, guys 👏

Food took half an hour. Wasn’t presented with any cutlery, so I saw the knives and forks washed in front of me. Forgot to bring my smoothe so i opted to get it refunded. Food was good just the service needs improving.

Really friendly staff, and great coffee. Fantastic place to grab a quick sandwich to eat when in Clerkenwell for business or leisure. Really nice atmosphere too!

Very arrogant and not professional at all

I wanted to treat myself for breakfast on a weekend, and decided to try this coffeeshop. Little that I know that I’ll be served a sliced wholemeal bread as “sourdough bread”. Before I ordered, I specifically asked which bread they use for their avocado toast and they said “sourdough brown bread” (which technically does not exist, so it was a bit weird but I said ok.) Then they served the blandest avocado (no salt, no lemon) on a SOFT wholemeal bread. I brought it back to them and asked why they didn’t even bother toasting the bread and they said they did??? and continued lying about which bread they’ve used. Such a shame that they are not an honest business.

Stopped by for an ice americano, the lady at the till was lovely, there’s a wide variety of food and drinks at good prices, my favourite part is how peaceful it is given the closeness to the centre of London, nice plants in the outdoor area, if you, like me, get overwhelmed in busy cafes this is definitely worth a visit!

One of the most hostile cafes i have ever been to. The main male waiter is extremely rude and should take some lesson on how not to speak to people no menu was given when seated. when ordering he was moaning due to how big our order was. myself and my friend ordered two drinks. he made me walk over to collect my drink but brought my friend's drink over to the table and did the same thing with the food. by shouting ' ah excuse me' to get my attention to collect my food . the restaurant was empty, his other lovely colleague made sure she brought our other food and did not make me leave my seat once. he done this due to his own prejudices. it is deeply upsetting we spent £40 in this horribly overpriced establishment for bitter coffee and dry salad. please avoid and spend your money on the other lovely cafe around the area. as i would rate this the worse cafe in ec1

I wish the platform had 10 stars. The atmosphere, the food, and the prices are superb! I will surely be visiting them. Please try their falafel if you like falafel as it's one of the most delicious falafel I have ever tried.

Stopped here for the first time the other day for a coffee and whilst chatting with the lads they pulled out HOT pan au chocolate from the oven!! OMG I had to have one whilst eating I nearly took my fingers off it was the best one I've ever had! I'm back today for another and the coffee is 10/10 as well great lads very chatty 👌

Nice place and good coffee but the tall waitress thinks it’s ok to hold her stomach and joke (apropos of nothing) ‘I’m pregnant and I’m gonna name it abortion…because I’m gonna abort it’ to customers. When I told her she should be wary joking about a subject which may be a sensitive subject for some people, she replied ‘Why? You’re not pro-choice are you? I’ve aborted one before… I just think it’s funny because you’re a man, you don’t have a uterus…that’s very millennial and old fashioned’ before wrinkling her nose and sarcastically saying ‘sorry I hurt your feelings’ It was an extremely unpleasant and unnecessary exchange delivered with an extremely ugly attitude. I can only imagine the ire I would have faced had I triggered or offended the waitress in question and her own beliefs. There’s no need to be so hostile toward customers.

I was in desperate need of the loo and I happened to pass Jimmy and the Bee on my way and it turned out they make very decent coffee, serve good food, offer wide selection of meals and drinks, plus the staff is very friendly. It's a cozy place worth visiting. Moreover, the loo is pristine clean so I'm happy to leave 5 stars here.

A very pleasant coffee stop on a wintery March morning. I had a flat white and cinnamon roll, no photo, I am afraid I wolfed it down 😁

I was in London and had a meeting in the afternoon, so I walked up to City, University of London. I arrived earlier than planned, so I went to Jimmy and the Bee, which is close by, and ordered a flat white. They took my order and I took a seat. Jimmy and the Bee looks to be an independent cafe, which predominantly sells tea and coffee. There were some cakes and pastries on the counter, and I saw board with some breakfast items (avocado on toast). The furniture is distressed wood, but there are also some comfortable looking sofas as well. My flat white arrived. In some other places this may have been described as a Cortado. It was a really nice coffee and I enjoyed it.

I had a lovely cheese and leek grilled sandwich here with a red velvet cake. The service was excellent, the lady was lovely. I also bought a fab bottle of organic cola.

Friendly welcome. Cheese and tomato croissant was toasted but cheese not melted and tomato cold. Coffee was good but they forgot to bring cinnamon swirl. Probably ok if in the area.

Their pain-aux-raisins is the best I've had in London. I'm impressed. If you're in the area, give them a go.

Popped into Jimmy and the Bee somewhat randomly because I needed a coffee and I am quite happy I did! The flat white was really well done and the barista was incredibly friendly and welcoming— such a warm greeting for the morning. I’ll definitely be back.

There's always freshly-made food at Jimmy's, and a cool quiet vibe that attracts a more sophisticated crowd ( of course that's me too!😉) It's flooded with cheery natural light inside, or you can sit with your coffee and home--made cake or salad outside in the sun. It feels like family..
