Friendly pub and always a lovely beer

A not the usual run of the mill town center pub. A Warm, bright & inviting space to enjoy a variety of sports, live music, karaoke and food and drink. Situated close to the university this would bean ideal hub for students to meet and socialise. Very large indoor space refurbished to a very high standard, Gareth has this place looking clean and welcoming. A must if local to the area.

Wife and i popped in to watch football and have a few pints on Bank Holiday weekend,we would return.

Nice Pint, Nice Pub, Pool, Darts, Sports on TV, what more could you want.

Very disappointed in john walker pub went for a quite drink with friends only to see lads taking class A drugs n they didn't even care didn't leave when asked they just replied ill go when I've had my drink it has spoilt a nice pub n it's not the first time it's gone on

A very good atmosphere. Plenty of tables with room around each of them (not crammed in). Beer was cheaper than 'Spoons in Norton village. Clean, tidy, a good laugh. Beer was well looked after 🍺

Didn't leave in an ambulance. Definate improvement. 😅 John Walkee has really scrubbed up.well since I last visited 15 years ago. Looks allot more up market, beers are decent price, John Smiths was about £2.40, can't go wrong with that. Played the Cattlemarket in the shield pool tourny, here. Had an awesome laugh here with the lads. Staff and locals are friendly and had an awesome night.

When here on our wedding evening (with the wedding dress 😜) to hangout and have some drinks with close friends and play pool. Atmosphere was nice and warm. Moderate cleanliness. People there were generally nice and friendly.

A quite a nice pleasant pub at the bottom end of Stockton High Street towards Thornaby. Has specials on every day plus does food. TV,s with sky/BT live bands and music certain dates.Has a pool table and darts.Karaoke on a certain day! Prices are reasonable place is nice and clean.

Went in because nothing else was open and was pleasantly surprised. Was clean and tidy. And the beer was cheap under 9 pound for 3 pints. Will be returning

I love the friendly atmosphere. The bar staff are great,.but the door person caroline has seriously upset me tonight for no reason.hurt.my ankle at work after a 12hourshift on Tuesday night I come to the pub to see if my husband was ok .when I come out of my taxi I put a rubbish bag in a bin then I went to walk as best as I could to the door entrance,, but was told that I had a enough to drink so I could not enter the pub...I had no alcohol what so ever. I had nothing but a bad ankle because of my job...how can some one be judge like that.especially that I am a regular on a sunday .I never cause trouble and I dont get so drunk like other people's..I felt really embarrassed and humiliated tomight..and to make it.worse I also.wittnesed a violent incident when I had to get my taxi back home home by my.self because caroline refused me to spend my time with my husband and friends .this happend tonight before 10 pm .I have heard of other people saying she judge ppl and gets it wrong.karen cooper My name is Karen cooper..I always say that it's her job to be judgemental..but for me to be treated in such a way I am seeing where some people come from..ineonnt argue with no one only shoplifters when I am at work.,,I will stand up to any shop lifter at work cos they are scum..I do have self respect.and I did not deserve to be treat the way I was by caroline tonight

Staff pleasant and helpful however the general cleanliness of the place could do with a makover as the decor seams dated and the carpets need a good overhaul

Friendly pub with a pool table and great range of drinks that are well priced. Lots of locals and mixed clientele. Quiet on a sunday when we went. No food, just bar snacks. Not trendy or insta-bar, just a traditional locals pub

Been going to Walkers for 30 years under its various incarnations. This is the best yet. Only downside is slow service due to a small bar with only 2 staff most of the time.

It's going to end up with just drop outs going in if it's not to carefull u need to attract the rite people

The staff needs a lesson in hospitality they all outside main door smoking not giving a professional look to the place

Nice clean and tidy pub but not busy. Went around 11.30 on a Saturday night just a few people were there. Had good selection of drinks and staff were friendly enough there

At the moment find it very pleasant staff are well trained and friendly. Beer is spot on.

What a great place, welcoming and comfortable. Staff friendly. Food was delicious, presented well in a timely manner. fresh air so needed locally, try to get in every week now with friends and it doesn't send you running to the whole in the wall. Excellent value for money

After the event we had planned almost fell through the manager and her wife and all of the wonderful staff pulled together and helped us build a fantastic event that was enjoyed thoroughly by all in attendance. I personally could not reccomend this amazing pub more. The food was delicious and promptly served despite having over a hundred people dumped on them last minute. We will definitely be heading back to them to plan the next event. Thank You Jo and all of your Staff.

What a great refreshing new pub, immaculate, comfortable seating. Friendly staff, suitable not only for youngsters also for the slightly older teenager. Brill music of the past. Only a short visit, hopefully a lot longer in the future, thoroughly enjoyable.

Aboslutle faultless pub been in now nearly every day and have had now quite a few meals and all I can say is it is fantastic the food is amazing the beer can't be beaten and the staff and managers are absolutely fantastic nothing is to much trouble they are warm friendly and the pub it's self is immaculate! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu
