We went there for our anniversary last week and had the most amazing experience From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everyone was so welcoming and made sure we had a great time Pedro, our server, offered menu recommendations that were spot on Jacob, the bartender, who mixed the tableside old fashioned, was knowledgeable and friendly Alejandandro, the manager, stopped by to make sure everything was perfect After dinner, we sat at the bar and were taken excellent care of by Robert, Dorothy, and Jacob again. Dorothy created a cocktail that is one of the best I have ever had. Robert showed my husband some amazing bourbons and he was blown away. Their team is knowledgeable and takes pride in all they do It was by far the best food experience we had in London and we can’t recommend them enough Thank you again for a memorable 20th wedding anniversary!

The staff were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional and the whole experience was fantastic.

We went for Sunday lunch with friends. The atmosphere was lively The food was amazing. The staff we superb especially Luca. He looked after us so well and was very attentive

Certainly best Sunday lunch I have experienced in London for a very long time and amazing service. Roast beef/ yorkie cooked to perfection, veg and roasties piping hot☺️. Thank you chefs. Service was impeccable, Luka very knowledgable, helpful and efficient attending our table professionally then Jacob serving us the specialty buffalo drinks and explaining everything with enthusiasm. Service needs improvement. We were gifted a voucher to try out this steakhouse as our parents visited a few years ago and highly rated the restaurant. The evening started well, sat down quickly and ordering food/ first drinks. However, when we received the steak we had ordered one medium rare, one medium. The medium steak is was practically rare. The service was what really let this place down. We couldn’t see our waiter for 30/40 minutes and we had wanted to order our second round of drinks. After this, a different waiter had noticed and was able to get this for us. Baring in mind, the restaurant was empty with only a very few amount of customers. Lastly, we had a gift voucher which we told them upon arrival. The manager came back to us to say he wasn’t able to apply the voucher as he didn’t have the credential’s to do this, and requested we waited half an hour until the next manager came on shift. He did manage to resolve this a little while later, however not professional at all. Overall, I think the service needs a bit improvement for the type of establishment this is.

This is our second time coming here. Both times we’ve come for a special occasion. The food is incredible, I don’t usually like steak but here it is perfection! The waiters are very friendly and you definitely feel very looked after. Complimentary bread is provided on arrival, it is absolutely delicious, warm and fluffy with thick salt crystals on top making it exquisite. We ordered scallops as a starter, again so tasty and fresh. When they serve you the steak they ask for you to cut into to check you are happy with how it’s been cooked. The peppercorn sauce is a lovely pairing with the fillet steak. The JW truffle fries are amazing! One portion is enough for two. Pecan pie was lovely, you can choose which ice cream to have with it, we had the cinnamon, it was amazing! Got a complimentary cheesecake as it was my partners birthday, very nice touch and again goes to show the level of service provided here. Cocktails were fantastic! A bartender came to make the old fashioned cocktails and gave a small talk about the history etc. Lovely atmosphere, particularly in the winter. There is a cigar menu available too! Will definitely be back!

Our waitress, the one shining star of our visit, was friendly, chatty and did a great job discussing the various steaks on offer Starters , a mixture of Crab Cakes , Seafood Cocktails and Calamari were just ok. Nothing special. Two of our group shared a T Bone Steak which they were happy with. Three of us each had a Ribeye and we were all pretty disappointed. Too much sinew and undercooked fat which was inedible. Sides of Onion Rings , creamed Spinach , Mac n Cheese and fries were all pretty bland After Our Dessert ( just after 11pm ) we ordered coffee , only for our waiter ( waitress had finished her shift) to tell us we couldn’t have any as the coffee machine had been switched off. Now baring in mind we’re in a 5* Hotel in Mayfair with around 6 Bars & Restaurants and 24 Hr Room Service seemed a bit baffling. After speaking to a manager our coffees magically appeared within 5 minutes. The waiter seemed more concerned in getting us out as they were setting up the tables for the following morning. Won’t be returning anytime soon, if at all. No where near worth £120 P/H. Hawksmoor and Goodmans 100x better options.

Food was fine - not bad but, simply average. Service was friendly but inattentive. Convenient is how I’d best describe this restaurant.

JW steakhouse restaurant in the middle of the Gravenner House Hotel. Their steak is very delicious. The atmosphere is beautiful. The service is excellent. They are very famous for their cheesecakes. Wow, very delicious. Even though I was full, I ate it all. Honestly, one of the tastiest cheesecakes I have ever eaten. .. I recommend trying the restaurant

Average offerings. Can be elevated to a higher level if kitchen and service are improved. My stake was not cooked well and the service was missing care and attention despite being 25% full.

We enjoyed the Sunday Roast at the JW. Tasty food and a good value!

Lovely food, tasty bread and the best chips i’ve ever had. The cheesecake was 10/10. Also friendly staff and a good location. Will be going back again.

Jeg bestilte drikke og etterlyste den da maten ankom, men mottok den aldri. Ingen service fra servitør under måltidet selv om servitører bevegde seg rundt i lokalet så var det ingen som kom til oss. Servitører var mest opptatt av å rydde lokalene. Maten smakte ok, men noe av tilbehøret var kaldt, eks. lunken brokkoli og kald potetmos.

JW Marriott Grosvenor House London🏨 @grosvenorhouselondon 🍽️What I ordered was ・Rib Eye 14oz (approx. 400g) £45×2 ・Lobster Cobb Salad £24 ・JW Fries £7 ・JW Onion Rings £8 ・Other water, wine, coffee Was the bread free? The freshly baked bread was so delicious! Ribeye allows you to enjoy the flavor of the meat. A part with less fat, of course 400g We both finished our meals 😋 You can choose from several types of steak sauce. It's delicious as is! we asked for spicy sauce I forgot the name, but... The lobster salad and dressing were also very delicious! fries and onion rings It came with dips such as avocado! For a hearty steak Excellent grilling 👏✨ It's very, very delicious Very good heartfelt service It was a nice restaurant 💛 I made a reservation the day before, but it was full. It was only open at 9pm. Safe safe, I just barely slipped in! Seems like a popular restaurant Early reservation is required!! I'm too full I regret not being able to eat dessert. If I have a chance, I would like to take revenge🤗 Interesting dress code. It seems okay, don't worry about it. Many people wear casual clothing such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, and jeans, so you can visit without any hesitation.

Excellent Curated Experience. I would bring friends and family here in a heartbeat. The whisky selection was amazing. I popped a flight of Winkles along with a healthy ribeye and truffle mac and cheese. All great, irresistible food combos. We had some excellent calamari and ahi to start. The most impressive point of the night was the bartender ensuring me try his whistle pig 10 yr select recommendation. I was going to have something I already knew but he insisted this was the right move. Now I need to find this bottle. And then we finished with a creamy cheesecake. What a night.

I went there before covid when my dad worked there and everyone was so nice everyone that worked that night came to our table to greet us and we got a lot of food sent to our table from the chef 🫶🏻. It was the best experience ever I really enjoyed it and at the end of the night everything was paid for by the chef and we got a free cheesecake and I got a Hershey’s chocolate bar for free to go home. The staff are the nicest.

Really poor quality steak for the price.

What a great place. This was a birthday treat and after looking online at other London Steakhouses we agreed JW appeared to hit the mark. On arrival, service was impeccable. Professional, courteous, relaxed and inviting with nothing feeling too much trouble. A fairly extensive menu with the specials board also clearly on display. I was unsure of what to go for and after a chat with the staff I was presented with a couple of steaks to show the different cuts and sizes of what was available. I chose the 1000gm Porterhouse and it was perfectly cooked and presented. I was given the option of having it sliced by the chef or not, which obviously I took. This was by far the best steak I have ever had. Having been so engrossed in the steak I finished up without even touching my side of creamed spinach, thankfully they were very happy to put it into a doggy bag to take home. Starter was the Steak Tartare, I went for the smaller 4oz option, which was still a generous size. My partner went for the Calimari to start, which was a huge partition perfectly cooked, and a simple salad for main. She had originally chosen one of the fish options but when the calimari came out she realised she wouldn’t have space for it all so quickly amended her order. The portions are very generous, but it is most definitely NOT quantity over quality, it was of an excellent standard. The dessert list had everything we wanted, but after such a feast we settled on sharing the Mississippi mud pie from the specials. Another generous portion and then was also presented with a complimentary ‘Happy Birthday’ miniature signature cheesecake…wow! Had a cocktail to begin with followed by a couple of glasses of red. Highly recommend the Federalist Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Savignon. The staff were fantastic, the assistant manager Sotiris couldn’t have been more helpful. Our waitress Sabina was faultless. Both were knowledgeable and professional, welcoming and helpful. Excellent service without feeling wooden or soul-less. Both read the customer well and showed their own personalities and interacted well. They are both a credit to the establishment. This will be the go to steakhouse for me from now on. Not the cheapest, but definitely well worth every penny.

Let me again introduce you to Sotiris Misseris!! We recently came back to London and when in London we have to do the JW Steakhouse. We dine for the experience. We always have. We like to meet the people, learn the culture and enjoy the food. As I've stated before, Sotiris is the Gate Keeper for all that should be in the world of Hospitality!! We met the amazing JW Steakhouse Assistant Manager our first trip to London and I'm not going to lie, we came back to "this" hotel to see him again. There is a professional charm to this man that we have not experienced in some time in any of our best accommodations; Ritz Carlton, Westins, Renaissance. None of them hold a candle to this man’s authentic kindness, charm, sincerity and honesty. It was so refreshing. But there was something else. In a 5-star restaurant with only the best staff, he stands out for his humbleness. He treats you like you are his family! You feel like you are the most important person staying at the JW Marriott! And when he is with you, you are! I should share with you the food as well. AMAZING. Last time we were here we had gone to a small pub to enjoy a "fish and chips" London style. I remember it was good but we were not wowed. Sotiris suggested we try the one in the Steakhouse. O.M.G people!!! We are in Maine most of the summer and we have the best seafood and fish on the planet. Never have we had a dish this good. The fish (cod) was flaky, delicate and "crispy"...yes..."crispy". The chips (fries) were ridiculous...so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and just delicious. The home made tarter sauce finished the dish perfectly! Then there was the ribeye my husband ordered. It was spectacular. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. Sotiris remembered my drink of choice was a Cosmo and my husband's was Scotch. Best Cosmo on the planet! Scotch is scotch but Sotiris suggested the JW Bourbon for my husband. It is their very own and it's a real winner!!! If you are a Bourbon drinker be sure to try it. I almost forgot the Parker Rolls. Hot, soft and mouth watering!!! I could go on and on about the food, but seriously anything you order will be the best you had. You MUST go there! Thank you JW Steakhouse and all of the wonderful staff and thank you Sotiris!

Great spot for some good food! Excellent service, good atmosphere, great quality food! Not cheap, but feel that the rice is fair for what you get.

Great service but the steak was tough. It may be that I am just used to USA prime beef. The taste of the nightly special ribeye was good but very hard to eat. My wife enjoyed the crispy salmon.

The first seat I was shown to was near the entrance. There was an empty seat in the back, so I requested it and it was OK. Although I didn't feel very good, the food itself was delicious.

As always food was delicious, service amazing and super friendly. We always come back when in London.

Was looking for a good steak before returning to the US. Had the bone in Kansas steak and it was delicious and well prepared. My wife had the small filet and she enjoyed it as well. The only negative was the gluten free bread. (Very Hard). The regular rolls were tasty.

Thank-you for making our 45th wedding anniversary special. We had a nice table by the window as requested & a special desert to celebrate was bought out which was a lovely treat.

Lovely traditional steakhouse. They really nailed everything. I had the burger which is off base for me at a steakhouse, but it was very high quality ground beef. The butter mashed potatoes were especially delicious. The burrata was every bit as good as it was in Italy.

We enjoyed a lovely evening. It was a birthday celebration which was noted on the reservation. We were made to feel welcome and given a nice table. The bread came fast and the first round for cocktails were not too far behind. The main course took around 40 minutes which was, in my view slow, considering we all had steak which takes a max of 8 minutes to cook. Second round of drinks took its time and when we did order dessert, it was very tasty. I was disappointed that the birthday was overlooked. Not so much for a “free” dessert, but to put a candle on the cake the birthday boy ordered would have been a nice touch. Especially given the size of the bill. Maybe next time.

One of the best steakhouses. The restaurant itself is inside the Grosvenor hotel off park lane, lovely decor, spacious, an have outside seating. The steaks, can’t fault them. Just be sure to ask about the different sizes if you’re not a big eater because sometimes they may only have bigger steaks, would be a shame to waste. They have good seafood selection, the crab cake’s wow! Also good selection for kids, finished off with the legendary cheesecake, I need say no more, just have one you won’t be disappointed, not joking, I’ve seen people just come in for these. An finally the staff, perfection, very welcoming, attentive to detail, your never left out of service.

I visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch, £35 for two courses represents excellent value for money. The food and service was of a very high standard. The restaurant looks very dated and old fashioned and is not welcoming at all, during the time we were there it was fairly quiet. The music being played on what sounded like a very dated music system sounded awful and made the restaurant feel even more dated. There are a number of things that could be easily done to make the restaurant look more attractive and feel more welcoming which as a five star hotel on Park Lane I am very surprised they have not done already.

The meat, the Service, and obviously […] the wine, being passionate about this area, I thank Alejandro for his time and his dedication to a passion that unites many! What an evening, we will come back!

Amazing steakhouse. Good value for money. Celebrate my birthday here the second time.

This is the place to go if you like meat, but be warned, you'll have a hard time deciding what to choose. Certainly not cheap, but definitely worth it.

Excellent choice for Sunday lunch. Food superb. Roast beef absolutely perfect. Roast potatoes could have done with being crispier but that's obviously personal choice. Service was excellent. We were there in memory of my mother's 100th birthday so it was a sort of birthday celebration which staff acknowledged but I decided not to have the celebration cheesecake. The only downside was that there was someone sitting outside on the terrace who was smoking cigars and the smell kept coming into the restaurant. Very unpleasant, particularly as I have a lung condition. Nothing the staff could do so not their fault.

We had a couple of excellent meals there. Quality of the meat was outstanding and the grilling skills as well. Term blue for the rib eye was perfect. But also the lamb, the burger and chicken sandwichs were outstanding. Good service, slightly slow. Nice wine options.

A porterhouse steak ordered was very good although first time round it was overcooked and had to be sent back. A rib eye was disappointing - poor quality steak with a lot of sinewy fat and poor sloppy texture. Service was very good. Desserts good.

NY Strip claimed to be be prime grade. It was tough as leather. Disappointing.

Fantastic experience as usual! We were well taken care of by our host Alejandro who was incredibly attentive and catered to all our needs, offering great recommendations when requested. Service was very efficient and food was superb as always.

We wanted to eat beef steak so entered this restaurant. After entering we found we could't afford the steak here.(a Fillet of 6oz costs 40 pounds.) So we ordered the main course, including roasted chicken and short libs. The courses are large portions and we ate quite full. But the taste is just average.Not bad and not very delicious. Besides, the environment is good and high-end.

It was a pleasant experience for most of our booking’s duration, some noisy hotel guests were dining in front of our table at the start of our booking which was slightly uncomfortable. The food, mains, dessert & coffees were lovely. The waiter we had was very polite, kind & offered helpful menu suggestions, however he did make some very unnecessary comments about how some hotel guests (he specially mentioned that they are members of royal family) paid a fee to book out part of the terrace - I don't see how these comments were relevant to us? We were very put off by those comments as we had no interest in hearing about the other diners when we were just trying to place our food order. It seemed like the waiter was implying that he was doing us a favour by "allowing" us to dine in the terrace without paying him a fee (even though we booked online and have never experienced this on our previous visits). Quite strange. Also Open Table did not state that non-refundable sums have to be paid to waiters, to secure a table at the restaurant. We booked our table through Open Table as usual but were shocked to hear this from the waiter. My husband and I remained polite during our interactions with the waitor but he did create some awkwardness. Towards the end, my husband and I, as well as some of the other guests, saw some small mice (2-3) around the area where we were dining. The manager was very polite and reassured us that the food prep areas do not have any mice issues and offered complimentary coffees, which was a nice gesture - but still, seeing mice in a dining space is never a good experience. Overall, I would perhaps visit again for the lovely terrace vibe on Park Lane and the food (especially the delicious cheesecake), but JW has been moved down my list of Al fresco dining spots in London for the reasons mentioned above.

Great food and drinks. Johnathan at the bar has a great knowledge of bourbon and was very happy to discuss the different offerings and the history behind them.

Best cheesecake in town, also the bread cake it’s 10/10

Not sure what has happened here. 3rd or 4th time visiting and has seriously gone down hill. have always reccomended this place and spoken highly of it, a trip to london this weekend so we had to visit, wish we hadnt. service was ok, although the waiter failed to take my starter order, when question he told me i hadnt ordered it but i had ordered three sides, offered to get me the starter he saidi hadnt ordered, unfortunatley my wife had finished hers at this point so opted to wait for our mains. Everything about our main course was great apart from the one thing that should and has been exceptional in the past, the steak, what a dissapointment, less than average for what should have been the best. have had better at our local Miller and Carter. when asked how our meals were, explained ok but not as good as they have been in the past, waiter said he would pass this on. opted to not to have the cheese cake as didnt want the memory of this ruined. In short didnt get what we asked for ( wasnt charged). Not as good as it was. Better steaks available elsewhere at half the cost. Will no longer reccomend. Birthday meal Ruined. will not be returning, lesson learnt.

We arrived in London checked into the hotel and decided on a late lunch. The service was superb attentive but not intrusive the food was outstanding rare to find steak cooked exactly as ordered. Well done JW Steakhouse👍👍

Superb experience. My partner loves the Bourbon Bar and their specialist Robert was so informative, helpful and professional. The steak was terrific and I had Turbot with hazelnut crumble and a mushroom sauce which was so unusual but so good. It has become a birthday treat every year for my partner. Trouble is its so good we are going to have to go back more than once a year!.

Service was horrible. It took 90 minutes to get our food. The food itself was acceptable.

We were guests at the hotel last week for Wimbledon. We enjoyed controls at the bar nightly. The smoked Old Fashioned was lovely! The food was delicious at lunch and during a late dinner! The octopus roll was large enough to share and absolutely delish! The chopped salad sm/lg was yummy and large enough for a dinner portion. The beef burger and chicken burgers were sky high-tall and cooked to perfection. The “best cheesecake this side of the pond” really was lived up to its name; it was outstanding!!! The service was top-notch! Our servers, Pedro, was the best! Be sure to ask for him; you will not be disappointed.

Good classic steakhouse with good classic steak house vibes. The old fashions are well made, good bar to choose from. The local cuts are limited in quantity but if you can get them over the kansas cuts, we'll worth. We thought the tomahawk was a great value and an amazing cut. Visited a few times during our stay, nothing we had was a bad choice.

Just ok. I would expect a steakhouse with these prices to do better. Honestly unless you’re staying at the hotel and feeling lazy, find somewhere else. The only thing I can recommend is the IPA. Ribeye was dry, lobster small. Port and stilton sauce pedestrian.

The appetizers were ok , the calamari and the shrimp cocktail with avacado, but there was one large shrimp included that could have stayed off the item, it was tough and tasted manufactured! The server was terrible , never introducing herself and didn’t have the wine listed in the end on the menu , she had no other recommendations. My burger stayed on my plate whole until it was packaged up to be taken home , not a word from her on reasons why it was not tasted. Price for the food was exorbitant and a service fee was added without informing us prior. We didn’t see it on the menu . Overall very poor service , mediocre food , and too high prices . This will not be a repeat for us. Save your monies if you are thinking of eating here find somewhere that has great food for less prices .

Attached to the JW Marriott in Grovesnor house is their steakhouse. I have never been to a steak house as poor as this one. They do NOT know how to cook steak! They don't know how to cook chicken either. So ... I'm not sure why you would come here? Here are some of the lowlights: - Overpriced expensive food - Show you cuts of beef they don't have - Slow, non existent service - Beef lacks flavor - Famous "cheesecake" wasn't even set - Over salted food I heard such good things about this steakhouse in London but it was from a friend who drank at the bar. Perhaps that dulled his senses? I really should have clued in when I was able to make a reservation on a Friday for that night. Honestly ... I doubt I'd never come here for another meal, even if it was free.

JW Steakhouse consistently delivers very good steaks and seafood. The hot buns with fresh butter served immediately portend a satisfying, delicious meal. The cold shrimp as appetizer are large and have that fresh snap when you take a bite. The Caesar salad has the right amount of dressing, not soggy like I’ve experienced elsewhere. My filet mignon is always cooked perfectly and the red wine sauce is not necessary but a fine accent. Previously, we’ve had the veal chop which is always tender and delicious. Cheesecake is a must for dessert. The servers are professional but personable and every course is timed well by the kitchen. Our quarterly visits to London always begin with dinner here!

Superb Food Large American Sizes Go for the Hoisin Angus Ribs

We were greeted by a pretentious host who tried to seat us at a less than desirable table. When I asked that we be seated by the window, he told us that those tables were reserved for Marriott VIPs. I told him that I was a Marriott Titanium member he moved us to a table one row back from the window. Several customers dressed extremely casually were seated at the window tables before we left. The host was an extreme snob. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. A bright spot in an otherwise below average dinner. The steak we ordered was very tough and fairly tasteless. The calamari and other entrees we ordered were also underwhelming. The cheesecake we ordered was like something from a cheap pastry stand. Highly recommend that customers with palates avoid this extremely overrated restaurant. A real embarrassment to the Marriott brand.

This used to be a place I'd go with my family several times a year, would be a lovely place to go for a celebration, with champagne and steak, but unfortunately standards have slipped as of late. Both my latest visit, as well as the one before were plagued by long wait times, most recently, 1.5hrs for steaks to arrive. Starters had been waiting a while to come out so calamari was only slightly warm upon arrival (not cold enough to send back), whilst we were astonished by the crab cake which had now become canapé size which was almost comical at £21. Steaks arrived with sides mixed up, whilst we had to send one steak back that arrived medium-well, when medium-rare was ordered, meaning I had to eat my steak by myself as everyone finished by the time I arrived. We were celebrating my birthday so whilst, we received a miniature version of their signature cheesecake (which tastes amazing) on the house, and the manager came to apologise, I just unfortunately don't feel as enough was done to entice me to come back.

It was one of the best dinners shared with my family. We had Seafood & Steaks along with very good selection of white & red wine. But unfortunately, the following day my son & husband were admitted to hospital for food poising.

The food was great and service excellent! The ambiance was also much appreciated after a long day!

A wonderful meal as expected from such a prestigious venue. We enjoyed excellent service and can’t wait to return on our next trip to London.

Husband and I ordered cheeseburgers, both medium. They were very well done and we barely ate them. Also, the burgers were very small. The roll (which we did eat, tomato, lettuce very rare bacon and cheese overpowered the burger. Did not complain as we were running late for an appointment. Would have had a better burger at McDonalds. Have been in London 3 days and had terrific lunches and dinners. This was the first terrible meal! WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.
