KFC South Kensington - Gloucester Road in Kensington and Chelsea

It’s a KFC, what can I say? Service was speedy and the food was good for what it is. Only note: I didn’t particularly like the watermelon lime drink, so if you don’t generally like really sweet sodas, would not get that. The fries were well seasoned.

I recently visited a KFC location with a friend and ordered the chicken wings menu. Unfortunately, the wings were served completely raw, which is absolutely unacceptable. For a well-known brand like KFC, which should guarantee consistent and high-quality standards across all its outlets, this was a major letdown. Until this incident, KFC was my favorite fast-food chain. I immediately reported the issue to a staff member, showing her the untouched wings, except for three that I had opened to check but not consumed. She told me she would notify the manager. Later, she came back to ask if I was done eating and took the tray with the raw wings (the evidence of the issue) and threw it away. When I asked her if she had reported the problem, she replied that she had, but she never returned, and I didn’t receive a replacement for the wings. I left the restaurant after paying £30, having eaten nothing and feeling completely disappointed. This level of service is unacceptable. I will never return to this location and will seriously reconsider visiting KFC altogether. Please, avoid this location at all costs!

Sorry guys, but average. Very good location, easy to find , but even saying average is generous, the food was lame. Almost as though it had been sitting around or whoever made it didn't care . Perhaps after the best KFC I've had the day before it had too much to live up to

Small location on street level but plenty of seating downstairs. It's fairly clean and the service was adequate, even though the touch screens for ordering were out of service when we arrived, but the food itself was not great. The "zinger" chicken burger was quite bland with toppings in meager amounts. Fries are the typical British variety, more like potato sticks than what I'd consider actual French fries. Only Pepsi available, no Coke. If you're a big fan of British KFC I'm sure you'll be happy with your visit, but otherwise there are also other fast food options nearby.

What a scam for popcorn chicken! Don’t order it. The size is too small to find it from the bag

The food quality (meaning the chicken itself) was very poor. The dark meat wasn’t dark which implies very poorly treated animals. Chicken meat is only dark if they are allowed to walk around.

I was assisted by Mr Karthik and bhagya in ordering the food as it was my first ever visit to KFC. He helped me throughout the process, food is tasty.

The restaurant offers standard prices and taste. It is clean, with friendly staff, and provides free access to the restroom.

Worst experience in a fast food restaurant. Signs in the restaurant ask us not to order from the counter but from the kiosk. First observation: These kiosks did not provide receipt. Not a big problem. The staff erased our orders from their screen, then forgot about it. When we asked where our food was after waiting for a while, they did not only ask for our order numbers but also for the content of the order. This felt very strange as we had never experienced this at any other fast food chain. When serving us, several items were sold out/not available. The manager took the liberty to replace some of our items without giving us any other option. When asked for a refund of the missing items, the manager refused to do so and "offered" us to choose something else, knowing full well that the equivalents were cheaper. We didn't want something else, we wanted what we paid for. In the end, we had to settle for something that we did not want on top of having to pay for something that was not available. It is fine to run out of items. What was not normal was that there were no warnings and that we were forced to accept the choices that were imposed on us. In the end, we paid for something that we never had, and no receipt to show for it. A very unpleasant experience with KFC. The lack of respect and consideration for customers is astounding. Alas, that was quite a spectacular show of dishonesty and incompetence.

Popped in because everything else was closed and kids wanted a quick meal. Nothings better than ordering on a touch screen and just waiting for your order. Food came out fast and fresh.

Was impressed by the manager, Viral. Despite the rush of customers, he stayed calm, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. His leadership and dedication are outstanding. Viral definitely deserves a raise!

Avoid in the summer, no air conditioning at all, downstairs was boiling hot and I was not able to relax. Very annoying considering there does seem to be air conditioning vents, someone in management do something!

Absolutely awful experience. Came in late, the team were obviously understaffed, erratic and unhappy. I used to come to this KFC a fair bit but they won't be seeing me come back. Asma even refused to refund and cancel my order after 25 ish minutes of waiting for a snackbox! Absolutely awful, DO NOT go here.

Ordered 6, spicy chicken wings meal plus 2 "classic " chicken breast. An utter disappointment. No longer "finger licking"! Fries & Chicken wings was so dry - no stuffing anywhere in the chicken like it used to be in past, and chicken also smelt somewhat off, I've finally given up ever eating KFC in London ever again. A waste of my hard earned money. Ingredients used nowadays are most definitely NOT the original KFC recipes - each bite at the chicken used to be really juicy and FINGER LICKING too.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the KFC in Kensington. Before handing me my food, the staff forced me to leave a positive review for the store. They intimidated me and made me complete the entire survey with good reviews, which made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed. I got very scared. Additionally, the food and the unsanitary conditions of the place were shocking. There were literally cockroaches crawling in the bathroom, and I have never seen such a filthy floor in my life. As a result of eating there, I suffered a severe case of food poisoning, something I had never experienced before. I vomited the entire night for 3 consecutives nights. I nearly died from the wrap I ate at this place. Stay away from this KFC!

Ate here Monday 3 June 2024 at 10:15pm. Only other meal that day was cereal and fruit for breakfast. Woke up at 4am vomiting and with terrible food poisoning. 3 horrible days followed

Delicious food and best honesty service.

Weirdly, the staff started pestering for us to leave a positive review in exchange for some free chips. I found this to be really intrusive, particularly when it got to the point of using our mobile device to direct us to a website. As a result, I would regard any positive reviews as being highly suspect.

I just visited Lonodn last weekend with my kids - visited Hydepark and after tiring fun day we went to KFC at Gloucester road for dinner and the experience of our dinner there was just amazing, Being a fast food restaurant KFC here was giving us 5star customer service and food was top notch, i was happy and surprised seeing such a quality service from a fastfood that we normally expect from fine dinning . I managed to get couple of teams name to surely add here - Bhagya who was cashier was amazing and polite with us and shift supervisor Kushali was just super too, this is definitely the best KFC i have ever been.. If only all KFC like the one in Gloucester road.. Good work all. Hope this makes way to them and can possibly make them happy.

It's a London KFC, so don't expect much. Sloppy food and service. But if you're craving KFC this is a fine choice.

Standard franchise store. The taste of the product I thought was very good, it's only in Brazil that the flavor leaves something to be desired.

The downstairs is very tidy and comfortable, and the speed of food service is fabulous, highly recommend

Service was bad, & the staff was rude. I Just asked to see the basement where the serial killer John George Haigh melted his first victim in a bath of sulfiric acid in the 1940s. The lady working the counter kept asking what size bucket of chicken I wanted everytime I asked if the 40 gallon tub he used was still in basement. The chicken was decent i guess, but customer service is also about listening skills, and when someone is talking to you about how easily skin comes off, how about you try and not make this about you and your obsession with chicken. Coleslaw was horrible too.

If you’re travelling by tube on Piccadilly, District or Circle line and hungry then this is the place you should go to. It’s just out of the station, not even a min away. I went around 10 pm on a Wednesday, was served in 3 min. Bought a Gravy mega box with large curry, should suffice one. See the pic, 1 piece of chicken, 1 mini fillet, 2 hot wings, large gravy & large fries. Wings and gravy was good but mini fillet was too cold.

As tourists who had a hotel nearby, we often went to KFC and I can only recommend it. The service was very good and we helped when our payment methods were not accepted by the machine and the table service was also quick. The toilets and the general restaurant were well maintained and well cleaned. The climate in particular was very pleasant; it was not too warm, but not too cold either. So for anyone who loves KFC or wants to try it here, it is a clear recommendation.😊

The meal came out very quickly, I only waited for forty minutes, less than an hour.The people who placed orders after me had already taken away their meals, and I was waiting there like a fool. The service staff won't even apologize. Great service!

I was a big fan of KFC Years ago, Visited few branches lately, and this branch now, I can only say that the food is disgusting, Chickens were not cooked properly, and all sides looked old as they kept them in the fridge for few days, I honestly think that the authorities should inspect them and check the food quality. That's my opinion anyway. I would suggest that you avoid and find any other local alternatives.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend eating at this restaurant, the customer service is very bad. I asked one of the clerks about an item on the menu and he didn't even know what I was talking about! The person barely knew how to speak English, we explained the dish to her until after a long time she remembered the snack. As soon as we received the food they kept insisting for reviews. The food was delicious, it was made very quickly and it was hot. The decorations of the place are beautiful, from the entrance to the last corner of the restaurant, but the hygiene of the environment was terrible, there was some kind of sauce on the floor, used napkins everywhere, the bathroom was very messy... One interesting thing was that the ordering panels are brilliant, many customers don't know how to speak English and use the panels to place their order. If you can't place your order through the panels, I don't recommend going because the employees don't know English and get confused very easily.

They had a problem in their system that said my card was not a student, even though it says student offer active on the app. The cashier lady was very unhelpful and rude and did not offer any solutions and sent me away.

Rubbish service. 2nd time I've been conned on the portion of chips I was given. I should have checked because now I know they do this. Next time I'll check and if it's not there I'll demand more. Unacceptable

I had good time here food was good and service was quick

We're on 5 days vacation trip, and we come here to eat something and see the prices. The chicken it's big, there're big portions of food and drink for a cheap price. We were 2 with the Christmas bucket of 3, it was goood and only for 23£, we eated well and I have like 3 chicken pieces left with half of the 1.5l coke to take home. Also the Gravy sauce it's good.

Terrible. We ordered two teas and were not told there was no milk! Really! The food was OK but the gents toilets were disgusting. Puddles of pee everywhere. I reported it to the cleaner but she just carried on cleaning tables. Eventually the manager offered us alternative drinks. It wasn't very busy so there is no excuse for such poor service and facilities.
