After having holidaying to Turkey for about 8 years we decided to see if this Harrogate restaurant could deliver proper authentic Turkish food and it most certainly did! 10/10!

Having endured two extremely wet days in Harrogate thanks to Storm Daragh we had the great good fortune to find Konak. The food was fantastic, especially their signature lamb dish and the service could not have been better. We’re lucky to have good Turkish restaurants in Manchester but nothing to compare with this little gem. Highly, highly recommended

Don’t say you have a 14.95 lunch and choose from the the menu as really that is not the case you add on more for certain dishes we ended up with a higher bill ….explains to your costumer

This was our third visit to Konak Meze. Our two previous were for lunch. This time it was for an early evening meal. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the ambience extremely pleasant with charming staff.

Delicious lunchtime meal. Perfect portion sizes and a great variety of tasty food. All served by friendly and helpful staff.

I came with a group of friends and didn’t really know what to expect as my experience of Turkish cuisine is limited. The atmosphere was brilliant and the staff were just excellent, especially Ali who made some excellent recommendations for newbies to the menu. We had a fantastic time.Highly recommend!!!

The Best Turkish Restaurant in Harrogate hands down! Genuine Turkish food served by genuine Greek people.

It is a very cozy place with welcoming and friendly atmosphere, nice music playing in the background and the best food served in the city. The service was amazing, all members of the staff were smiley and chatty. The food was fresh, apetising and very well cooked. We've tried everything from starters through mains and up to teas, coffees and desserts. It all tastes great! Nice lunch deals, too!

Visited as 2 couples for an early Saturday evening meal. Prior to our visit I emailed with queries around my many dietary restrictions. These include Gluten and Dairy free as well as other allergies. As an Epipen carrier I need to be very careful. I was reassured that all my needs would be met and the booking was made. On arrival I was very impressed that we were greeted by a delightful waitress who referred to my allergies and assured me that the chef was prepared too. Each member of staff knew what I needed to avoid and even when selecting drinks I was guided. I was delighted with the vast selection of the menu that was available to me. I was also informed that dishes would be altered if there were dishes I wanted. I was able to enjoy a tremendous authentic Turkish meal. My dining companions were all delighted with their choice too. I can recommend this restaurant for anyone who has food allergies in the confidence that the staff take dietary needs serious and demonstrate their knowledge of the ingredients across their menu. Wonderful experience.

Fab place to eat. Lovely food and lovely service. Great value for the price on the lunch menu of three picks and a glass of wine. Ipek is a lovely server and provided great service.

We came here for lunch without any booking and a young lady with lovely smile welcomed us. From beginning to end she was excellent and attentive. The food was great and atmosphere was very authentic. First time we've been but will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

Dining here is like going to a friends or family home; you just feel relaxed, well looked after and with menu and specials for every discerning taste. Casual, cosy, comfortable, for couples or friends. Its accolades and awards well deserved. Your staff knowledgeable, polite and so well trained - and happy too!

So we turned up in Harrogate after a 5 1/2 hour drive and discovered this place. No booking. We were accommodated by the owner to a lovely table. The chef showed his head and promised us he could cook. We ordered food and wine and sat back to inhale the atmosphere. The place was quite busy, but all the staff were very attentive, but not at all pushy. The tables were clean and laid out well. We chose a good wine and it went with the food very well. The owner kept checking to see if we were ok, and the banter was good. The food was delicious, superbly cooked, good portions and excellent value. After, we sat outside trying to think of something negative. There is a negative - Its 200 miles from our home!! That’s the only negative. Great place, great staff, great food. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Went in on a Tuesday evening around 19.30, the staff were welcoming and friendly. We opted for the Konak Grill for 2. The food was amazing, very tasty and cooked to perfection. The portions weren’t massive, could have easily eaten more.

Had an awesome time at Konak Meze Turkish Cuisine! The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff made us feel right at home. We kicked things off with the meze platter, which was a great mix of flavors. The hummus and stuffed wine leaves were especially tasty. For the main course, I had the kuzu Sish which was super tender and delicious, while my friend loved the mixed grill (konak grill). Service was great – everyone was nice, especially one young lady waitress who was just perfect. She was super friendly.We wrapped up with some amazing baklava, which was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. If you’re into Turkish food or just want to try something new, I highly recommend checking out Konak Meze. You won’t be disappointed!

The restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere and exceptionally friendly service. However, in terms of food flavors, it falls short of being among my top 5 Turkish restaurants in the UK. The beef and chicken skewers are disappointingly chewy, and the Turkish bread is merely average. While the ambiance is pleasant, the cuisine doesn't quite meet expectations for a standout Turkish dining experience.

Wow! What a find! Went for lunch with my sister and had the most amazing time. The service was amazing, the food was superb, very reasonably priced and the facilities were lovely and clean. The staff are more than happy to help you in any way they can and are very knowledgeable. The Turkish Delight ice cream is to die for!!! Family friendly and a quiet haven in the busy town centre. Would highly recommend.

Has been one of the best restaurants in Harrogate for some time. The lunch Meze menu is an absolute bargain. We were very late and just missed the 4 pm cut-off point. The staff were incredibly understanding and accommodating. The food was lovely. Thank you.

The best sharing platter I have ever had! Never really tried Turkish cuisine before and boy was this an incredible introduction. The hot sharing platter (highly recommend) included lots of different traditional foods and I thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, we shared between 4 of us but I'd have happily had it all to myself! The rest of the food was good and prices were reasonable for the quality of the food we received. Would recommend a visit.

We visited here on the 2nd night of our Harrogate weekend. It was Saturday night and the staff were very accommodating to squeeze us in without a reservation as the restaurant was full. The food was excellent and I recommend the slow cooked leg of lamb special. The waiting staff were very young but super-keen to please and this all added to the charm of the place. The owner was leading the hospitality and took a real interest in our experience. This is a definite visit again.

Second time here when visiting Harrogate as we just had to return. Quite a small restaurant but very well done. Excellent service from friendly staff but the food is outstanding. We had a meat platter to share and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

At the beginning of April we spent a long weekend in Harrogate. On Friday evening we decided to eat something out, I found Konak Meze on the Internet and without prior reservation we went to this restaurant. We managed to get a table. The food turned out to be delicious, fresh and full of flavors. The service was very nice, caring about its guests and not intrusive. A very pleasant culinary experience. The place is definitely worth recommending.

We visited this restaurant twice on this trip to Harrogate which is our favourite town in the UK. The food was great quality and really tasty and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our dinner last night so much that we returned for lunch today. I have to say the special lunch menu is very misleading as they advertise 3 Meze starters + a drink for £14.95 which sounds like a very good offer. However they dont mention that the 3 starters are sample size and only a fraction of the size of the normal starters. I think it is much better to go for the normal menu unless you want to taste their different dishes. We still enjoyed our lunch and I thoroughly recommend this place.

A first class experience in every respect. The menu was varied and the dishes we chose were very flavoursome. The ambiance in the restaurant was high quality with knowledgable and friendly service. Linen napkins added to the quality presentation. For the quality of food and service it was excellent value. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Harrogate.

We were in Harrogate for a conference. A Harrogate resident led us to this restaurant, all the way telling us how good it is. It was busy but Firat found us a table. Two of us had the lamb special, which was so tender and delicious. Another had the kofta, which was also lovely. All the staff were very helpful and efficient, especially Firat.

Had a great night out with friends. Akil was friendly, professional and an excellent waiter. The atmosphere and food were spot on. We will all definitely be returning in the near future.

Such a lovely restaurant, fantastic food, great service and value for money. We had the lunch time special (3 small plates) and all 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We weren’t rushed and spent time after eating enjoying a Turkish coffee and conversation. Cannot recommend enough.

Once again ten out of ten! Arrived with my favourite companion in the world and even though the restaurant was full, we were still cared for by Firat and his friendly and professional team who delivered us (the best we’ve ever had) deep fried calamari, crispy salad and warm Turkish bread, followed by the juiciest and most tasty chicken and old school chunks chips. I particularly liked the seasonal table flowers and as seen in the accompanying picture, this Turkish red wine is one of the best. Thanks again for such a great experience 👏

My wife and I returned here having visited a number of years ago. We booked because it was Valentine's night and they had reserved us a nice window seat. An excellent meal indeed at a fair price considering current high product prices. Lovely fresh Turkish bread to start with olive oil dip. My lamb kebab main was beautiful and I've eaten enough over the years for experience. Lovely soft lamb cubes, nicely flavoured and served with good quality saute potatoes and fresh salad. Attention to detail from the kitchen clearly evident here in the presentation. My wife also had lamb in a stew with rice, also delicious, no fatty portions, just lovely lean lamb. Gratis portion of Turkish delight to finish. Friendly and polite service No hesitation to recommend even for a discerning diner and we will return when in Harrogate Edward and Christine McAlpine

First time I've been to a Turkish restaurant and I have to say it was excellent food was brilliant and not that expensive I recommend you try this restaurant you won't be disappointed 👍🙂

The experience is cosy, being an end-terrace it's like being in someone's home, with staff friendlier than some family members! The food is fantastic, freshly cooked and good value for money, and as for the Turkish Apple Tea...love it! The semolina cookies were not what I expected, more cake than cookie and soaked in a honey syrup, but my partner made sure they didn't go to waste. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing wrong with them, they just weren't to my taste, something to be aware of if you're expecting a crisp cookie!

My husband and I had the most amazing meal here on Saturday night. The staff were so friendly, the ambiance was perfect and OMG the food was delicious. This was the first time we have been here but we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Excellent food, and the staff are really friendly and attentive. They had time to chat to us and ask why we were visiting Harrogate. Our group holiday in Turkey, and the food here was as good as any of the restaurants we visit whilst on holiday. The prices are comparable to most restaurants in the UK, so not overly expensive. The food was piping hot and tasty and service was prompt, but we didn’t feel rushed. Will definitely visit again if in Harrogate.

First time here. really busy as a conference in town. Had to book a table for a 2hr slot only, although I guess no time limit when quiet. Good quality, traditional Turkish food. Kalamar starter was perfectly cooked, Chef Special (lamb cooked on the bone stew), was great. House wine by the carafe was fine, but relatively expensive. Staff pleasant enough considering how busy they were.

Wonderful meal - five stars for every aspect. The food was authentic, flavoursome and fresh, made with a finesse. I like that the menu isn’t too long yet offers a fantastic mix of meze starters, vegetarian, meat and fish dishes, specials and deserts. The lamb-stuffed aubergine was fantastic. Good wine menu including Turkish wines as well as European and new world, plus decent beers and ales. The restaurant is located in what used to be an old Georgian house in the centre of town, the setting gives a warm, well lit, cosy ambiance with (importantly!) good acoustics so you can enjoy a conversation. Friendly and discrete service, no charge for extras such as bread and table water. Highly recommend. Will return, including for the daytime cafe set up.

Ottoman taste of Turkish food, some dishes never tasted before. Karnıyarık was lush stuffed aubergine with lamb, nice and succulent. Generous portions, felt a bit pressurised to order more starters by the waiter which was a bit uncomfortable.

Outstanding experience this weekend. From the moment we were greeted at the door we knew we were in for a treat. The staff were polite and friendly, the venue is intimate and the food spectacular. Harrogate is worth a visit but our main motivator from now on will be Konak Meze.

I recommend the Hummus, the Fine Beans, and any of the Lamb dishes. Everything was of the highest quality. It is so refreshing to be served by staff who seem to genuinely enjoy their job. We will definitely be back.
