Charlotte looked after us and was an absolute superstar! Keep up the Mandarin studies. Thanks for making our visit to London so special. We found Lord Wargrave by accident and ensuring our Aussie fellow travellers drop by when they stay at Victory Services Club.

The food quality was great, though a bit too salty for our taste. Otherwise, we think the chef did a great job with both the British Beef Rib and the Goat Cheese Salad. The service received from Elliot was top notch. Nice and friendly approach, and passionate about the food and service the pub offers. He can make a great salesman 😁

Us three Outback Aussie's wanted to have a "proper" English Sunday roast, and we are very happy to report, Lord Wargrave delivered, and some 😁😁. The food presented to us was absolutely delicious, the service was impeccable by Larna and the atmosphere of this cosy pub was all that we had hoped for, and some. Thank you to all the staff, much appreciated from the Aussie's 🇦🇺

This typical English pub offers a slightly more refined menu compared to classic pubs that only serve burgers and beer. I tried the duck leg and was quite satisfied. The prices are in line with London standards, and the staff is friendly. The desserts and beers are very good. Overall, I give it 5 stars.

Such a shame that this place didn't live up to its expectation. When I previously popped in, it was buzzing, the atmosphere was great staff were very helpful. I went for a la carte, today ( at saturday) there were 9 of us. My booking was from 12.30pm to 3pm..we were told we had to vacate the table for 2.30!! How and why when the booking was till 3. We ordered drinks ( bottles of wine) and all the starters x2/ 3 on some of these.The waiter brought the wine lay it in its cooler and walked off..he passed the glasses from one side of the table to one of my guests...and my guests passed this along..because he couldn't be bothered to walk around the table. It was around 1.30ish..and we wanted to order the whole chicken (£38) for the table and some sides.the waiter took our order and came back and said sorry we don't have a whole chicken it was 1.30pm, a Saturday and they don't have the main dish available..they tried to make us go for the beef and pork sharers platter (£68) This place ruined our Christmas meal !!!!!! I was so upset. We believe they didn't serve us the whole chicken so they could have the table back !!! We didn't get an apology..the atmosphere was off..as if we were not wanted! We paid the £263 bill and did the pay the service, as there was none! Awful place...get some training in for your staff..and learn to respect your guests.. If you got this right..it could be a place I could visit often. I won't be coming here ever again.. Absolutely poor service..!!!! ........... I can't seem to respond to the response below , so I've had to update my review. Your response was absolute lies and nonsense. No we were not asked about our wine being poured. And no you are wrong we were asked to leave at 2.30pm. You ran out of whole chicken at lunch on a Saturday? Makes no business sense. And no the waiter didn't communicate with us in a respectful manner. We understand that you are going to deny what actually happened, and not care about how we were treated. But ofcourse your other reviews are pretty good, so why would you. Your response says it all. I live close by, and will never visit this place again, shocking experience, better if you go somewhere else to spend your money.

Always a fantastic dining experience! I first visited years ago for the roast, which was excellent, and returned recently to find the quality just as high. The service is quick and attentive, and the food is delectable! This time, we had the baby back ribs—tender and paired with an incredible sauce—and the roast with all the meats. The beef and chicken were flavourful and cooked perfectly, though the pork was less standout. Highly recommend for excellent food and service!

We have been coming to the lord wargrave for 9 years religiously every Christmas . This year Rose and the food made it the best year yet. The ribs are the biggest and juiciest in London and thr whisky selection is by far the best outside the posh hotels. Thanks to Rose and the team , she deserves a promotion . See you next year

Visited on a Saturday evening, having pre booked for a Christmas work party. We all had a fantastic experience from great food to an amazing selection of beer and cocktails. The experience was made by extra special by the highly welcoming and attentive staff. I’ll will certainly be visiting again with friends and family soon.

Regular Pub atmosphere but they do delicious meat. Anything smoked is wonderful to try. We loved the ribs l, the sides. The smoked chicken thighs for the starter was fabulous, too. As they highlight the whisky selection is exemplary. Really visiting and worth trying even if you are not particularly in Marleybone.

The roast dinner was ok, except we were served horseradish sauce made with dairy cream...although we informed management that we had a lactose allergy and they got us to sign a 'allergy disclosure' document. They also did not seem to know that margarine is usually made with vegetable oil. And they told us that the roast vegetables are made the day before - not particularly fresh then. We felt the prices were too high to be justified. Overall, if you are looking for a roast dinner/ gastropub, you can probably find a better one in the area.

Went there for my birthday roast dinner and it was delicious! All my friends said it was the best roast in London and I agree! We had a lovely waitress too. The whole thing was just perfect.

Beautiful place, lovely welcome, lovely atmosphere...it's simple, out of 3 evenings spent in London, we went there 3 times. Typical pub and good value for money for a city like London. If I stay in the area again, we will return.

Dropped in for lunch to kill time between checking out and heading to the airport. Great decision. The food was great and the service was friendly and efficient. A great selection of whisk(e)y too. The ribs were tender and smoky. I went a bit overboard and had the sticky toffee as well which was just perfectly spongy. It was quiet when I visited but I expect a lot livelier in the evenings. One thing of note was that they still clearly look after their regulars. An older gentleman rolled up while I was there and was promptly met by a staff member (Amy) who obviously knew his regular order and his usual spot etc. It’s always great to see that kind of service in places that wouldn’t normally be considered a local pub.

Amy was just the best ♥️ such a wonderful and caring waitress! Food was also really nice, came here for the Sunday roast.

As an American who travels to London often, this is my go to pub, if I am looking for something different than Fish & Chips. The BBQ is excellent, great whiskey bar and friendly service.

We probably arrived on a busy evening for the staff. It was a bit chaotic and disorganized but they were probably understaffed ? We waited a bit once seated, not to say a lot to get our order in, but the second waitress that took care of us was a darling, very sweet and funny, she really made us forget about the wait. We still had an amazing dinner, the atmosphere was lovely, the place looks really nice with the smooth light and wooden tables. Everybody was enjoying, the drinks were good, the wine too. I asked for a specific cocktail that wasn’t on their menu and they still did it so thank you very much. The food was good, the burger was delicious but the ribs were a bit too fat to my taste. I would recommend the place if you’re not in a hurry.

I was looking for a place to enjoy some good ribs, and this pub didn’t disappoint. We visited on a weekend evening. The pub has an old, traditional English vibe with that familiar pub aroma. However, it could use a bit more maintenance, as some of the seating, like sofas and chairs, was quite worn out. Service was excellent—the staff was very friendly and attentive. We made a reservation online through the pub’s website, which took only a few seconds. The wait time for food was average. The ribs were outstanding, definitely a 10+! We’ll definitely be back.

I visited the Lord Wargrave with my parents for a late Saturday lunch, planning to settle in for the afternoon and enjoy some drinks. Things started off really well — great service, fantastic food, and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Once we’d finished eating and had a couple of drinks, we were politely asked to move to the bar area as they needed our table back for other diners. No problem at all; they even set us up with a table in the bar and assured us we could carry on drinking there as long as we liked. But not long after, we were asked to leave that table too as they wanted to seat a walk in group to eat?! By this point, we’d spent a fair amount on food and drinks, and my partner had just joined us from work, considering ordering a bite to eat. Instead of feeling welcome, we were left feeling like we were being pushed out simply because we were no longer eating. I understand the need to turn over restaurant tables, but to ask us to move again after being assured we could stay in the bar as long as we wanted is not only rude but reeks of greed. It’s a shame, because the afternoon started off really well. If you want to operate strictly as a restaurant, fine, but don’t advertise as a pub where people can enjoy a drink, then push them out as soon as the plates are cleared. Can’t say I’ll be returning sadly.

This is not fubfayre, this is a meatery! The food and service were exceptional, I dropped one little star due to lack of variety/accompaniments on a main. Though the brisket was tender, melty & frankly the best brisket I’ve ever had - getting a gluten free splash of anything was a slight challenge. Adding some tender-stem or maybe some roast squash to the plate would have been a saviour. I do love me some cow - but even a cow eats greens. 1000% would visit again, but I will bring my own broccoli.

This review is for the great customer service I received from Lana. There was a mess up with my booking for a surprise birthday I was planning, due to a miscommunication in the booking process. Realising only the night before that my booking hadn't actually been booked, I spoke to Lana who did her very best to correct the mistake. She was super understanding and did her most to try and rectify the situation. Excellent customer service and she went out of her way to make sure that despite the mishap, she was going to make sure the suprise bday was going to go ahead! Thank you Lana :)

Nice pub with great food, most staff were really friendly but when our bill arrived we queried it due to an £11 drink, previously paid for at the bar, was also on the bill again and included a 6% service charge. The mistake was corrected by a member of staff who was not pleased. Despite this, it's a lovely pub with a reasonable beer selection and a good menu.

Loved the atmosphere, decor and service here - we had the sharing platter and although it was absolutely fantastic slow cooked food, it definitely didn’t taste like it was cooked on a smoker. The short rib had been finished on a smoker but I was expecting a full smoked platter. Having said that - the food was excellent and I would definitely return.

Food was amazing. More a chilled pub vibe but the food is up there. Go for the mixed platter so you can try all the meats. Absolutely unreal. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Reasonably priced and would definitely head back.

As a BBQ snob from Texas, I was very skeptical about their smoked meats. The beef ribs did not disappoint and I would put them up against anything I have had at home. Very friendly and professional staff to boot.

Stopped by for drinks and a dessert. The waitress snapped at us when ordering because her tablet was still loading? Also had a waffle which was essentially a supermarket waffle reheated with a scoop of ice cream and badly crushed oreos on top.

Great quiet pub in central London. The food is great and the staff are friendly. It gets busy but not too busy. I have never had a problem getting a seat and there's always a great atmosphere.

I'm from Texas, and Wargrave's bbq is amazing. The selection of beers and whiskeys is huge. Elliot and the crew are great. Maybe add a Key Lime pie to complete things.

Stumbled across this little pub whilst walking around London. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had a pretty nice vodka lime soda. And they made it to all my requests. Sat down outside, read the menu only to discover it's a smokehouse. The food inside looked pretty good and of good portion size. I think I'll come back to try it. There were also vegetarian options on the menu.

We came down to London from the midlands and we always like to plan ahead with where we go to eat. Lord Wargrave stood out as highly rated and it did not disappoint. Excellent food, and atmosphere. Great service from Rosie. We had two sharing platters and the meat was incredible. One of the best smoke houses I’ve been to. We will come again for sure.

Relaxed delicious pub with a few British and American themed plates. Everyone loved the dirty fries, the pulled pork sandwich, the smash burger, and the smoked chicken sandwich. Everything had pretty good spice and smoked flavor. Service was also very polite and helpful, and seated our party without reservations and were able to work with us. Thanks!

Met up with old uni friends Sat afternoon, barman with the light long hair and the dark haired barmaid provided an excellent service, we were sat outside, barmaid was always out making sure our table was clean, my friend ordered a burger earlier-no issues at all. We stopped into Lord Wargrave for Sunday roast today and had a great meal. To start, we had the fried halloumi which was prepared with buffalo sauce and ranch. The ranch dipping sauce had great flavor and was very light which was nice. For our mains, we had one pork roast, one beef roast and a Caesar salad. The Caesar salad had a ton of chicken on it which was a nice bonus. For dessert, we obviously had to end the meal with sticky toffee pudding. This tends to be our go-to dessert and this one was one of the best we’ve had thus far in London.

One of the best ribs you will find in London! The chips were also very fresh. Very attentive service and great atmosphere too, will be back!

Food was really good and staff were genuinely nice - managed to meet the chef who was very friendly and jovial. A really strong whisky collection with a 2 page whisky list which was impressive. Overall, the price was a bit on the high side but otherwise really enjoyed our experience.

Let me say this is BY FAR the BEST BBQ I've eaten here in London. The location is just off of a main street, so it's tucked away from all the noise. The atmosphere is very chill which is ideal. The drinks are amazing and all the staff are very knowledgeable (especially if you're a whiskey drinker). The Food is hands down AMAZING! I've been 2 times so far and loved it each time. Shout out to Elliott for being so gracious, attentive, and caring. Shout out to the other employees for making the experience worth coming back! Cheers!!

The Lord Wargrave is a bar/restaurant that was only about a 5 minute walk away from where myself and my partner were staying. We came on a Saturday night, around 8pm. A fair sized place that very much prides itself on it's smokehouse menu. It has a massive array of whiskeys available too. My partner had the rack of ribs (I did try a little bit, they were very nice). I had the Loaded Mac & Cheese, also the Loaded Fries & also some Spiced Tater Tots. We both had dessert after our mains. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was incredible! The staff were friendly and very attentive too. We felt incredibly welcome and looked after during our visit. Very much a place worth visiting if you enjoy smoked meats and whiskey.
