Lucky Star in Selby

Lovely little takeaway. Able to taste the different flavours of the items in the dishes. Some of the dishes we had were a little oily but this didn’t distract from the enjoyment or flavours. Large portions. Cooked fresh but not long waits.

Nothing bad to say really. Tasty food, pleasant staff and quick delivery! Will continue to order from here.

Not sure how this place has such good reviews, other than assuming all other Chinese take aways in the area are unbelievably bad. Chicken is like reheated rubber, and everything is dripping in oil. Not good at all

Ordered over the phone, nice and easy to do. I had the sweet and sour chicken balls, beef chow main and prawn toast. All very good, I would personally have the prawn toast cooked longer to make it crisper, but very nice what I had Will ordered again to try other things.

Pretty mediocre unfortunately, was my favourite under the previous management. Friendly staff, good service, though.

First time using Lucky Star and won't be the last. The food was tasty, hot, and plentiful and the service was quick and polite (picked up) reasonably price too. Chrispy Chilli Chicken was just how it's meant to be with a slight chrispy bite and sticky chilli sauce, not like some places we're the sauce is like water making the chicken soft.

I have been staying in Tadcaster and have ordered from this company many times , I would like to say firstly thank you to the man behind the desk letting me text my orders, often not long before closing time and you always reply instantly. The service you get is impeccable, food is always delivered within the time told or sooner ! Always piping hot , best Chinese I have ever had in the whole of the uk ! Nice food, friendly staff, ready to order and they deliver

Waited over an hour and half for delivery and still hasn’t arrived. Ordered from here a few times and food is always nice but every time they get later and later with delivery. Will be trying somewhere else next time.

I'm a regular from this shop and absolutely love the food they deliver. Always comes fast and hot and the staff are absolutely lovely and a pleasure to order from. Would highly reccomend to anyone thinking about this place

Ordered half a duck. Was not by any means half! I’m not even sure it was duck we received. The taste was foul, it was all fat and gristle barely any meat. And whatever it was must of being boiled, it was not at all crispy! Was definitely not worth £19! Feel robbed.

Fast delivery to my house and food was very hot and delicious. I had Chicken S&source hongkong style that was lovely. My boy friend ordered chicken curry is spot on. Fanatic food I hope they will keep going.

The food came fast and hot. The chicken and sweet corn soup was lovely but that’s about it. Unfortunately the chicken wings were so hard that my boyfriend chipped his tooth. When I called the takeaway they offered me 15% off my next order and said they would send some more wings that never came. It’s a real shame as they are the only Chinese that deliver near me.

Ordered from here once when staying overnight for one night on recommendation from the hotel. Wouldn't recommend, the food was late and not worth it at all.
