LUCKY STAR Chinese And Thai Takeaway in Staffordshire Moorlands

Curry sauce tasted like a mix of soy sauce and gravy, with consistency of water, didn't go down well with my meal of choice. Next time, I'll check food before leaving with my order.

Really nice takeaway. We had beef curry, chicken with ginger and spring onion, crispy shredded beef and chicken satay. Free prawn crackers. All gorgeous and not swamped in sauce. Delivery man was lovely too.

Get food from hear most weeks, food always comes quickly and always tastes great. Great customer service staff are very kind

Had delivery earlier this evening food cold and main courses…chicken and beef more fat than meat…rice very stodgy. Extremely disappointed

Chicken noodle soup was soooooo good. Its my new fave! Sorry pork yuk sung there's a new starter for me. Also friendly delivery guy, always very pleasant.

Ordered beef chow mein, egg fried frice, curry sauce and sweet sour chicken and it all tasted bland and stodgy. The egg fried rice was also missing the egg!

Deliveries were brilliant until this new service was set up. Now; not impressed at all. Ordered food recently and had to wait considerably longer than normal. When the food was delivered it was not hot and just about warm.

Great chinese never dissapoints

Not one to leave reviews, but I really did not enjoy the food that we had delivered from here tonight. Bland, watery, greasy and stodgy, arrived way too quickly so clearly not very fresh (the salt and pepper chips tasted microwaved, they were so dry). The fried rice was all stuck together. The weirdest thing was the chicken curry, bright orange (stained the chicken a funny pinky orange colour), very watery and flavourless but so very spicy. Just very bizarre. Sadly would not recommend. Maybe it would be up somebody else's street and I'm just picky with my Chinese food, but not for us sadly.

Takeaways are personal preference. This one isn’t mine unfortunately. Bland food nothing offensive, edible and looked nice but lacked taste. Give it a try it might be your favourite. N.B Worst curry sauce I’ve had at a chinese though.

Food is very good ( not keen on the fried rice and the spring rolls Dnt have a lot of filling) however food is freshly cooked hot and tasty it’s my go to Chinese in Biddulph the owners are always polite and have a smile for you thanks

I have been twice for takeaway has become my favourite and the food is superb. This is a update to the original post I have tried more on the menu and still can't find anywhere to bet this takeaway

Wow!!! The first time we've ever bought from this takeaway because my partner doesn't like Chinese food. However, when I saw they did some English meals too, we thought we'd give it a try. The delivery was really speedy and the delivery man, lovely and friendly. The food was piping hot and remained so, all through the meal. The portions were enormous! I had the House Special chow mein, which was packed with meat, prawns and veg and my partner has sausage, chips and gravy, which he loved. This is the only place in Biddulph, that we've tried, that cooks chips how they should be cooked - golden, crisp and hot. Delicious!! We will definitely be ordering from Lucky Star again and would recommend them to anyone. 😋

First time customer last night 22/1/22 very disappointed with our meal. We won't be returning.

We were in the area on holiday and wanted a nice Chinese for our last night... We were not disappointed with the lucky star. Wow! Shredded beef was so good and the satay sauce was incredible. Can honestly say this was the best Chinese we've had. Delivery was really prompt and driver did well to find us in the fog.

Best Chinese in Biddulph. Never had a bad experience with Lucky Star. Always lovely food, prompt delivery. I love the dim sum starters they have too.

Not nice after having one failed takeaway from another takeaway had throw it in bin tried here couple hours later was still starving, sauce was like slime , tasteless had huge pieces of garlic in the chips weren't cooked, not going another takeaway in biddulph again 🤢

We get a takeaway from The Lucky Star now and again. Always been pretty good.

House special chow mein is a must have! Fast tasty and just gorgeous

Absoulute Garbage.... chicken fried rice had more veg than a Sunday dinner in it & it was that stodgy it looked like rice pudding !! The chips were like lego bricks. Shocking food.... Even the dogs refused it. Full refund given.

Just had crispy beef and egg fried rice with a portion of prawn toast and can honestly say I.'ve never had a worse meal .. the whole lot was tasteless .. prawn toast was just greasy fried bread crispy beef was just crunchy overcooked with no taste ...vile !!!
