The place was Confusing to get too due to a food place next to it. That is the only issue. Once you found it it was all uphill from there. The server was very helpful and explained something I had questions with. Tried something new. The Chicken Biriyani. I was blown away!!! It was so good. The suggestion to get it when I was torn on what to try. It was mild spicy. Like the little bit of burn but my nose started running a tiny bit. Also ordered tea and was going to have it after the amazing food but I was able to switch it to-go and they had no problems with that. The atmosphere was mellow and inviting. Thank you for the pleasant experience.

We were offered papadums before we were shown the menu, and only then saw that they were £6. They were decent but not worth that price. My wife declined rice or naan because they're not appropriate on her diet. The waiter argued with me and insisted on bringing her rice, for which we were charged another £4. Despite appearing to having four or five staff for a small restaurant they were a bit slower than average, and I had to ask several times for my check. The music was a bit erratic, sometimes stopping in the middle of a song to switch styles completely. I didn't dislike the styles, but we were seated one table away from what appeared to be the only speaker, and it was at ear level, so it was a bit loud for my taste. To their credit, the mains were very tasty.

Very good fine dishes, you can ask for the less spicy dish if you wish. The service and welcome are perfect. I recommend this restaurant which is very good value for money.

I had a really good experience at Maharani place. The food was good and especially the Indian tea. I went there to have Indian food and it was really good. I was struggling to find a good tea place as most places don’t sell proper Indian tea but I got proper Indian tea at Maharani Palace. I also tried other Indian cuisine which was good.

Must to go place! If you’re on the hunt for a delightful Indian culinary experience at Camden, this is the place to be! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ready to accommodate your preferences, including your desired spice level. The dishes are absolutely delectable and bursting with flavor—truly a feast for the senses!

We had recently visited Maharani. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with an authentic Indian touch. The food was absolutely delicious, with rich, flavorful dishes. What really stood out was how the staff went the extra mile to make the birthday celebration special. They surprised us with a beautifully decorated dessert platter and even played a birthday song, singing along and making the experience even more memorable. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made the evening unforgettable! Highly recommend!

I ordered a chicken tikka starter and dal makhni, both of which were excellent. The chicken tikka is the best I have ever had-- it was very well-marinated and soft. I recommend it and this restaurant is very good value for money. The staff is very kind and provided me with a tea while waiting for my order, which was really nice.

We recently dined at the amazing Maharani Palace (Camden) and were thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. The menu had a great variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and must say beautifully presented. Especially, Palak Paneer was a standout — cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. To recapitulate, it was a fantastic dining experience. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious food and great service.

Amazing gem in the heart of Camden! Anybody looking for a cheeky Indian/bengali this is the spot! Staff are so lovely and cater to your needs and desires you can speak to staff regarding your spice level and they won’t fault to disappoint the food was so mouth watering good. Korma and butter chicken for the non spice hackers Lamb dishes and chicken dishes deffo recommend along with the biryani and the naans’ everything was cooked to perfection. They also have a grilled and kebab menu if your not feeling curry’s and the burgers were great! Under new management and under rated for sure ! Give it a try guys They also have AMAZING CREPES! 🤤🤤

With our group of six we accidently run into this place. It was a pleasent evening. We had a very warm welcome. Also the dishes we're amazing. Authentic food and tailor-made dishes when you asked for this. Only one point for improvement: add desserts to the menu :-)!

THE BEST EXPERIENCE Had my doubts before entering into this restaurant. But after coming in, the hospitality and professionalism of Mr. Hussain, who was our amazing host, just seitched things up to the next level !!! THE FOOD I'm not even joking when i say that this is the one place I had the BEST TASTING FOOD ever !!! Especially INDIAN food. Everything was just literally heaven. Meat was so damn soft that it just melts in your mouth. The curry, the gravy, everything was damn tasty and well balanced. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDTO VISIT THIS PLACE. WOULD NEVER REGRET IT.

Celebré mi cumpleaños número 30 en Maharani Lounge el 27 de abril, y estoy más que decepcionado con el servicio que recibí. Han pasado dos meses desde el evento, y todavía no he recibido mi depósito. Afirman repetidamente que ha sido "procesado", pero ningún proceso debería tomar tanto tiempo. Esto se siente como un robo total, e insto encarecidamente a otros a evitar este lugar a menos que quieras ser estafado. Dos semanas antes de mi evento, el lugar era plenamente consciente de que los altavoces y el micrófono no funcionaban, sin embargo, no nos informaron. Solo descubrimos este problema crucial cuando el DJ intentó usar el equipo. Afortunadamente, nuestro DJ fue ingenioso y logró solucionar el problema, pero la falta de comunicación y preparación del lugar fue completamente inaceptable. Cuando se les interrogó, el personal admitió que sabían del problema, pero decidieron no hacer nada, mostrando total desprecio por nuestro evento. Además, el gerente de eventos no solo fue grosero, sino también profundamente poco profesional. La condición del lugar era igualmente vergonzoso. El suelo parecía inestable, y había una fuga en el techo cerca de la entrada. Estas cuestiones ponen aún más de relieve el mal mantenimiento y la falta de atención del lugar. En general, mi experiencia en Maharani Lounge fue una pesadilla absoluta. Recomiendo encarecidamente a cualquiera que considere este lugar que se mantenga lejos. I held my 30th birthday at Maharani Lounge on April 27th, and I am disappointed with the service I received. It has been two months since the event, and I still haven't received my deposit back. They repeatedly claim it has been "processed," but no process should take this long. This feels like outright theft, and I strongly urge others to avoid this venue unless you want to be swindled. Two weeks before my event, the venue was fully aware that the speakers and microphone were not working, yet they failed to inform us. We only discovered this crucial issue when the DJ attempted to use the equipment. Thankfully, our DJ was resourceful and managed to work around the problem, but the venue's lack of communication and preparation was utterly unacceptable. When questioned, the staff admitted they knew about the problem but chose to do nothing, showing complete disregard for our event. Additionally, the events manager was not only rude but also profoundly unprofessional. He was blatantly flirting with and ended up hooking up with one of my guests, which is appalling behavior for someone in his position. It was agreed in advance that we would set up at 5 pm, but he ignored this and allowed restaurant guests to eat until 6:30 pm, causing a significant delay when my event was supposed to start at 7 pm. When he eventually allowed us to set up, my mum and sister simply asked to move some tables—a straightforward request that turned into a major issue due to the manager's unhelpful attitude and constant complaints. The condition of the venue was equally disgraceful. The floor seemed unstable, and there was a leak in the roof near the entrance. These issues further highlight the venue's poor maintenance and lack of care. Overall, my experience at Maharani Lounge was an absolute nightmare. I strongly advise anyone considering this venue to stay far away. I demand my deposit back immediately, or I will be forced to report this business for their unacceptable practices and unprofessional conduct.

Service was as expected of a cafe/ restaurant in Camden, no questions about kindness and attention, that comes at a price of service charge. Food tasted good, probs a bit too spicy for us but generally we’ve been made aware. What’s shocking is the size of portions, one of the dish with prawns, was £20, but probably had 6 pieces. Generally okayish, but not coming back.

This place, DO NOT BOOK!! They are unreliable, we made a booking for a party of 5 for 4pm. We travelled all the way from Essex and the place was closed, we called repetitively and they didn't answer, messaged them on Instagram and the owner of the account had a bit of attitude, i am unsure why but they need to sort out their website and how they book if they open at 6 on weekdays?? As well as watching the way to customers as they do not know how people are as an individual.

Came here on a Friday night with 4 friends. We were the only table in the place. The food was nice but there was zero atmosphere. When paying our bill we were met with a £22 mandatory service charge as well as paying for over priced bottles of beer. I thought this was incredibly crafty as it was never mentioned anywhere prior to booking the restaurant or prior to ordering. Very disappointing.

Absolutely fantastic. Had a lovely dinner great food taste amazing and good spices and the service was perfect really friendly and helpful. Lovely poppadoms and dips. It's a little hard to find but glad we did. Fab evening! Recommended.

Always a first class service and food is second to none. An easy 5 stars.

Service was so slow that I thought the starter would arrive the next day. Arrived after 5pm (their opening time). No chef, no waiting staff, no service. Took an hour and a half for the food to arrive. One of the party had their starter and main delivered at the same time. One of the party had to leave before their food arrived to make another commitment. The bottomless drinks were so slow that it felt deliberate. Asked for some flexibility on the bill due to the poor service. Got a £12 discount for a party of five and was advised that service was included !! Food was good but not worth everything else. Have never posted a Don’t Go! review before. But don’t go.

Saturday night 7pm booking and only us 6 in there so atmosphere was bit lacking and no music playing for first hour of being there. End of meal we didn't want dessert but asked for liquer coffees but they said didn't do them, shame - and was bit disappointed you got Wetheral sweets on a plate each rather than an after eight mint. We had a party for 30 people and the food served was amazing. We had Pappadums, chutneys and salads for appetisers, followed by Fish Cutlets, Vegetable Beetroot Croquettes for starters. Then arrived the Mutton Kosha, Alu Gobi and Yellow Dal Tadka for Mains with Pulao rice and Naans. We finished with Nolen Gurer Sondesh, a Bengali dessert. Professional service and a great chef serving good food while located just within a 5 min walk from Camden tube station.

Absolutely delicious! The food from Maharani is always on point. Arrived dead on time. After a bit of a ‘Just Eat delivery disaster’ last week (which Just Eat compensated for) I am happy to say all good this time. One happy and ‘full up’ customer! 😂
