I wouldn't call this place an Indian restaurant. The butter chicken is flavourless and too sweet. The lamb breyani is bland. We had way better food from other Indian restaurants / takeaway places. What a waste of money.

Food was so good. Very subtle spicing and there was a great choice for vegetarians as well. Onion nan was very special. The only down side was that the gents toilets were tired and not the cleanest. If they were better then it would be 5 stars

Was excited to visit a genuine Punjabi restaurant on a recent trip to London. Oddly, the queue outside on a cold dark Saturday night looked promising. We took our place in the queue and were told it’d be a 10 minute wait….as there were about 10 people ahead of us, we were sceptical but true to their word, we were seated in under 10 minutes. Unfortunately that is where the positives end. The tables are so tightly packed in, you may as well be at the same table as those around you. There was barely room for me to comfortably take my coat off. Next up, the menu - there was hardly anything on it to distinguish it from a standard ‘Indian’ (if you know, you know). We felt rushed to order (everything felt rushed - we were in and out in 40 minutes so not the leisurely dinner we were hoping for) and I didn’t really like being forced to order a main, rather than a side and having to waste the food I’m unable to eat (have a small appetite). Popadoms were fine. Naan was ok but my main dish tasted sweet and I had to have it with the pickle in order for it to taste edible. Service was functional, decor dated, disposable napkins are pretty rubbish - nothing here was worth the excessive menu prices and certainly not worth the automatically added service charge. Would love to support a Punjabi business but unfortunately I can’t recommend this restaurant.

Rude staff member. Firstly is you fancy ordering just starts and them main meal once you know how hungry you are, you can't. They tell you, you can't order just starters, and then later decide on your main meal. We don't accept just order on out starters first. You are forced to decide on all your food in one go at the beginning. The waiter tells you to leave, if you want, as the refuse to listen when you ask, can you please let me decide main meal later. Then if you ask the can you delay the main meal, watier says no, kitchen staff make it and it will arrive soon as your starters finishes. Very small portions and expensive with rude watier. Limited veg starters. Very over priced. Food taste was good.

I have been going to this place for years. Food is amazing and people are amazing too but I want to share my experience today. I took my friend who was in need of some emotional support to meet me there, the manager ANDREW didn’t let her in and asked her to wait till everyone arrive. I arrived and then I was asked to wait out till my other friend arrive. I even asked him I’m going to order food and drinks now but he didnt bother to listen or understand. ANDREW was so rude, unhelpful and an embarrassment to be servicing in that establishment that I adore going to. I will go to the restaurant again for food just as long that human is not around on the shift.

This was a nice place to have north Indian food. It was a very traditional vibe and the food was tasty. We came during a not very busy time, so we had a quiet time here. I think it is an over-hyped place for what you get , definitely prices are on the high side and didn't feel like the best value for money. Portions are small and they make you order a main dish per person , which is not good if the group wants to share different plates .

An extremely nice and friendly place, with a very pleasant atmosphere close to the tourist center and the British Gallery and Trafalgar Square. Very good food: obviously spicy, so you can opt for dishes with more or less pepper. To balance the pepper you can choose beer (as the unsuspecting do) or an incredible - and efficient - mango lassi made with yogurt (as the smart ones do). Very balanced value for money. You can trust the word of a frugal person like me, who likes to eat well.

The food- Tandoori mixed grill, Kulcha, Butter naan looked appetizing but the meat was of very low quality and all the different meat variants in the Tandoori mixed grill tasted the same with very little seasoning and lots of food coloring, giving it a very bland taste. The naan was okay but the Kulcha was way too thin. Then comes the Main course: Baigan bharta and Veg kofta. It looked like they had given up the pretence completely as both looked quite similar, tomatoey red in color and though I expected the Baigan bharta to be a bit mushy in texture, it was surprisingly more or less a curry. And the Veg koftas tasted stale and not very good but it was the gravy in both that was exactly the same: made with an overwhelming amount of tomato or its puree and tasted just tomatoes and nothing else. Again no flavour whatsoever other than that of tomatoes. I couldn't taste much of the Baigan (aubergine) in the Baigan bharta. I couldn't be bothered about the dessert and just rushed out after paying the bill as soon as possible. It may have been a good restaurant back in the days but now it's just run of a mill, running on its legacy. Only good thing: service of the staff and the ambience was both good and nothing to complain about.

I normally go to Masala Zone in Covent Garden for Indian food but thought a change would be good. The food was nice, I had the Butter chicken for main which was advertised as medium heat. It was really nice but found it had no heat in it at all which was a bit disappointing. The service was good but I asked that we have 10 mins between starter and main but they bought the main out straight away. The most disappointing part was the masala chai. I can’t help but feel they just use masala tea bags. It was not comparable to the tea at Masala Zone at all. The part of the restaurant we went to was tight and you felt a bit squashed in.

Additional fees apply. If you do not want to pay, you will be informed. But even though I was eating it deliciously, I kept walking back and forth in front of it saying, ‘Finish?’ I almost pretended to ask three times. Such an amazing dinner, what a treat 💯 Our second attempt at Indian cuisine in London, having stumbled upon a vegan one previously, and the experience was amazing! The staff were friendly and greeted us with smiles from entry to exit, and there’s not even service charge billed into the meal! 🫓 the nann was great, so much so I had to order another garlic nann to go with my curries! 🥘 the curry was great, the chicken tikka masala was our favourite of the two, but the other (first signature curry on their menu) was a very close second too - the chicken breast were tender and in abundance as well 🍗 the wings were okay, quite lightly spiced and not too much meat on them It’s a great meal overall, only wished there’s more spice to their curries as we love a properly hot curry 😅 but we enjoyed it nonetheless!

The experience had both pros and cons. As a downside, we queued for the main dining area, but we were sent to the annex, which wasn’t what we wanted. The naan was definitely reheated, and the papadum was nothing special, lacking attention to detail. There was even a missing spoon for the naan sauces. While the portion of tje tandoori tikka was perfect the portion of the tikka masala was a bit small for the price. Over the years, prices have gone up, which is understandable, but still a bit high considering the food quality and the fact that we didn’t even sit in the main dining area we wanted. On the positive side, the tandoori chicken was excellent—definitely 10/10. The service speed was well-balanced, not too fast to make us think the food was reheated, but not too slow either. Overall, the place has become much more tourist-oriented and less authentic and traditional compared to what it used to be. This is reflected in the management, food quality, and even the interior after they repainted and renovated. A less touristy and more traditional approach, like in the past, would be appreciated.

The experience was quite disappointing. As someone with a Punjabi background, I found the dishes lacking in both flavor and authenticity. For example, the mixed grill was dominated by bland tandoori chicken, with just a small lamb kebab as an afterthought. The chicken karahi was also a letdown. It neither resembled a traditional karahi dish nor had the expected bold flavors. Despite requesting a spicy version, it tasted more like a bland, generic curry. Considering the restaurant's heritage and the steep prices, I cannot recommend it. London offers far better, more genuine Punjabi cuisine at more reasonable prices.

Amazing food, if there were popadoms it would have been perfect. Had the largest king prawns and the mango lassi was great

Reservation policy is confusing. They either do or do not want you to have a reservation.

Very disappointed, I was only 10 minutes away and they refused to set my friends and offer a table. My friends said that they can set in order untill I will arrive but the GM consistently refusing to give table to three people while two is present. I was super embarrassed because I was the one who suggested this place. Never ever going to visit this place. Please everyone avoid it if you want to avoid disappointment and embarrassment

Dear Management , I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your restaurant. My partner and I were invited to dine there by a friend who was running about 10 minutes late. When we arrived, I inquired about being seated, only to be informed that we could not be accommodated until all three of us were present. I explained that we were ready to order and understood that food preparation takes time. However, the individual who identified himself as the General Manager refused to seat us or offer an alternative solution. I felt it necessary to seek clarification on this policy, as it seemed unreasonable, but my concerns were met with dismissiveness. It was quite embarrassing to stand outside and attempt to communicate our situation, especially considering we were there based on a recommendation. Unfortunately, the response I received was unhelpful, and I was asked to wait outside. I typically do not voice complaints, but I believe it is important for management to be aware of how such interactions can impact customer satisfaction. This experience has led me to reconsider dining at your establishment in the future, and I feel compelled to share this feedback with friends and family. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope it can lead to improvements in your customer service. Sincerely, Baktash

My family and I ate at this restaurant and the food was all impeccable, with well-balanced flavors and digested very well. The staff were also all very friendly. Highly recommended

Food and service was good - but beware a very high automatic gratuity is included in your bill, and the price is pretty high to begin with, making this a pretty expensive choice relatively speaking. I'm not a fan of automatic tip and very much not a fan of overly self-generous ones, it was high.

The service staff is very friendly, kind and really open, even for special needs and wishes. We had wine, an Indian Chardonnay, so unique and delicious - surprisingly with a fruity bitterness. The kids were happy to make the perfect choice, a chicken korma. I tried an Indian beer as well to serve my thirst before we had the wine. Ist tasted fruity, smooth and slightly herbal.
