Review for M.K.H Halal Birmingham I ordered food online from M.K.H Halal, mistakenly selecting their Birmingham branch instead of Manchester. Upon realizing the error, I immediately contacted the manager in Manchester. He kindly coordinated with the Birmingham manager, and the order was canceled right away. However, despite their assurance, I have been waiting for a refund for over two weeks. After numerous messages and follow-ups, I was informed today that they would not return my money because the food was "prepared." This claim is absurd, as I canceled within minutes, and considering the food quality they serve, it’s hard to believe any genuine preparation took place. The food I received previously was awful—clearly frozen and barely edible, resembling foam pieces rather than proper food. I regret ever ordering from this place, and their customer service has been equally appalling. M.K.H Halal seriously needs to improve both their food quality and their customer service policies. Ignoring customer concerns and refusing legitimate refunds is unacceptable. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for them to address these issues. Would not recommend!

This place gone downhill, been eating here for years now, the quality of food has fallen, of the list now since last order, cold burger old hard Pattie cold fries, called to complain but nothing was resolved..

I was at a restaurant today, and it was my first time ordering from MAK Halal. I ordered a Chicken Rice Box and asked if they had Pepsi Max. The staff didn’t reply, just told me to pay. I paid and waited. When my food was ready, they handed it over and asked what drink I wanted. I said Pepsi Max again, but they gave me Ice Cola. I didn’t check there, just took it and went home. When I checked later, I found it was Ice Cola. If you don’t have Pepsi Max, don’t offer other drinks when I’ve asked for Pepsi Max multiple times. They could have simply said they didn’t have it instead of giving me something else. Initially, they gave me a receipt for collection with no details about the food or drinks. When they handed over the food, they gave another receipt that mentioned Ice Cola. No matter what, they shouldn’t do this to customers—forcing a drink of their choice. They should just say they don’t have it. The food was good and delicious, but the problem was with the drink. Please don’t change drinks like this.

I’ve tried the chicken fillet for the first time and have been enjoying it till now also and the atmosphere is also good too.

Staff are extremely rude and incompetent. Would never order from this chain again. Can’t even complete a simple order. Always missing items and considering how much you pay for a simple burger meal, it just isn’t worth it. If I could give minus stars I would. Management need to sort their staff out, because they’re loosing loyal customers.

Good overall. There is a massive variety of food items. We went with an Inferno burger, another one of the special burgers, some loaded fries and drinks. The burgers tasted nice, well seasoned, nice sauces. Loaded fries had all the toppings and sauces and was lovely. Nice drinks selection too. Only downside is that it's slightly pricey for what it is, the portions aren't massive either. Our two meals came to around 30quid.

This is such an amazing place to visit. Food, staff and everything is perfect. I would like to share my experience about their Parmesan Hot Shot. That was superb.

Honestly I truly believe these reviews are either paid reviews or very old! Ordered on 21st around 8pm, we ordered a Double mak meal, Flaming chicken fillet meal, Flaming wings & Fries con pollo. The food was not to human satisfaction, the only edible item was the double mak. The fries were stale and looked as if they have been heated on numerous occasions, the chicken fillet within the burger was dry and very difficult to chew with literally 0 flavour, the fries con pollo again old stale chips and chicken used drizzled with a lot of sauce to cover up their sins! The flaming wings were undercooked and pink inside! Honestly this place has gone down hill, called manager as the food was literally untouched, Manager Zebby was understanding however was unable to help in issuing refund… we spent over £30 and were very disappointed with the food and service!

Lots of different choices on menu to please everyone including the picky eaters in the family. Food was ready in a timely manner and staff are really helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend.

Ordered 2 meals and they missed one out. called to get it back and got fed some bullshit about uber process when they double their prices for the buy 1 get 1 free and still dont give it. Delivered over 100 times from here not taken into consideration i guess paid £18 for a single zinger burger and small milkshake never again.

The food was awful, bland and tasteless. I came here with a friend who ordered the chicken sizzler pizza and I ordered the mega mix meal. Both food items were bland. No flavour. My burger in fact hardly had any sauce in it, just a little squirt as an afterthought on the bottom, which confusingly was also bland. We’ve been eating at Mak halal for a good number of years and their branches across Birmingham have had a steady decline in food taste and quality over that period of time but this was a shocking new low. Will never eat here again. Basically spent ten quid for half decent fries and a nice mango drink.

I ordered from Mak Halal the other night, ive been sick since, me and my partner both badly unwell after eating the food and will not be ordering again.

Mak Halal has been one of my favourite spots when it opened on Muntz Street Small Heath with the french morrocans, but since then no disrespect to the brand or business it's not the same any more after opening franchises. The quality of food is just nowhere near the original. I get it it's a takeaway/dine and majority of the food is processed, it's not the same anymore especially for the price. Wish you guys the best of luck and hopefully if things do change will try again in the future but it's the end of road for us 👊🏼

Their own app is still active and receiving orders while they cancel it in the branch! So frustrating and disrespectful for the customers! Very bad customer service!

Ordered online.. food had no taste what so ever ordered a burger, pizza and chips meal. Pepsi max wasn’t that it was “ice X” the pizza had absolutely zero taste better off eating cardboard box prob has more taste, burger had just cheese and was dry as anything. Paid £15 for something no worth more than £5-6 max. First time and defo my last time.

Second time I have purchased food from this place and it has made me and my wife feel sick afterwards. I don't want the problem is, it used to be good in the past.

The chicken burgers are not worth getting at all The beef ones are the go to! But chicken no way it’s just a dry huge deep fried piece with no flavour, the hot and fiery was just smothered in lemon sauce. They did switch it to normal one but still couldn’t it eat, chicken items from there are disappointing.

Just poorly made burgers with poor produce like any other place in Birmingham. Just ok to eat something on the go if you're starving and want cheap junk food.

Parking is limited on the side roads. Food portions were generous and flavoursome, and the service was good throughout. Plenty of seating for the family, and the place did seem popular with school children at the end of the day. Have been to other branches before, would recommend and visit again

This seems to always be our late night stop for a bite to eat after a night out. However, have been here a few times during normal hours! So rating the food at 5 star is because everything we've had has always been great. But mainly 5 stars because their pizzas are top quality. Thin crust, loaded with fresh ingredients. Chicken sizzler is our favourite, but not for the faint hearted. It's loaded with green chillies!

I didn’t know what to think of the place. Busy and took their time with their order. A brilliant alternative to McDonald’s. If not. Even better. Burgers are small but very very tasty. Will visit again. Chicken burger. Single fillet was amazing. A good place to grab a quick bite without being disappointed.
