Good range of food to choose from for our golfing break - three options each for starter, main and dessert; good range of drinks at the bar and really friendly service Buffet breakfast needs a re-think as was a little chaotic and items ran short

It was a weekend stay we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the manor and its surroundings and its close location in Surrey.

No glass given for my J20, no steak knife for hubby, no napkins, burger burnt and dry - no apology from waitress when we mentioned it - we were given discount when we checked out from the hotel. Ate out for rest of our stay

The dining room is well appointed with views over the golf course. The food was superb and cooked to order, so it arrived lovely and hot, the service was excellent and the restaurant offered real value for money.

I've had two rounds of golf at the very pleasant course in the last three weeks. After the first, we were greeted warmly by the bar staff and ordered Bacon and Brie baguettes which were most acceptable and included a chat with chef who was interested to know if we enjoyed them. Today, the service was appalling - different staff and clearly this girl had no real interest in us as customers. I recommended the B&B baguettes again. They were seriously poor with undercooked bacon and a garnish of salad that looked horrid and past sell by! The chips weren't too bad. No-one asked us if we were enjoying our purchases which were far from cheap! I suspect they knew the answer.

The decor feels stately and established, but the service is warm, friendly, and welcoming. We had a small lunch event while visiting Coulsdon and decided to try the restaurant at the Coulsdon Hotel. A couple folks in the party had food sensitivities that made it difficult for them to order from the very short list of options. Chef Noel, however, came out to talk with us at the table and ask about would work. He made a custom dish based on one of the featured options that was absolutely delicious. It included lightly grilled chicken, broccoli florets, carrots, cauliflower with pesto over small bit of risotto rice and garnished with fresh basil and freshly grated parmesan cheese. While on this visit we've had meals at some pricey London restaurants and this lunch (7 GBP) was on par with much more expensive meals. Hats off to Chef Noel and the excellent wait staff at this restaurant for a lunch experience that exceeded expectations in every way.

Great pub. Average food but cheapish. Good beers at a great price. Friendly, helpful staff.

the best wings and fries! I recommend it, I haven't eaten such good ones for a long time. Certainly the best around.

This was the third time I’ve taken kids for breakfast. You can’t fault the price for breakfast as kids eat free, but there are definitely improvements that could and should be made. Previously the full breakfast was a buffet, they’ve now changed to individual orders. I therefore expected the food to be freshly prepared but it clearly wasn’t, most items were lukewarm. The coffee machine wasn’t working and the coffee provided was again lukewarm. The croissants were stale. There is one domestic 2 slice toaster for the whole restaurant which takes around 7 minutes to toast, imagine the queues. As the bread had been in so long it wasn’t just toasted on the outside, it was a completely dried out husk. The staff are aware of this so why isn’t it replaced? Preferably with a hotel style rotating grill toaster. Plus points, as well as the price, are the staff, who are cheerful, friendly and efficient.

I wanted one more egg after having previous one. And they’ve said it’s annoying. Absolutely not acceptable manners.
