Mauritian Cuisine in Haringey

Nous sommes françaises et le personnel a été très accueillant et compréhensif vis à vis de notre anglais très moyen. Le repas était copieux et vraiment délicieux ! Avec l'application TheFork, on peut réserver en ligne et avoir une réduction de 30% sur la carte (hors boisson et menus), ça vaut le coup ! Très bon rapport qualité prix, je recommande +++

¿Qué pasó con este lugar? ¡Un caballero que trabaja allí sólo conoce la frase - sólo efectivo - sólo efectivo! No, hola, no, ¿qué te gustaría bostezar? Me encantaba este lugar para pato asado y arroz y su aceite de chile. Probé algo nuevo durante mi última visita e hice un par de preguntas con respecto a los platos - no obtuve mucho pero un - su elección! Llegó el plato -y encontré cabello negro en él-, llamé al joven sirviendo en el piso y se encogió de hombros mirando hacia el techo como si dijera que venía de allí y luego pronunció la palabra chef -no podía importarle menos-, en realidad sonrió y le dijo a la señora detrás de la barra en su propio idioma pensando que era una broma. Dejé el plato lleno al 90% y les dejé -qué más les da- su dinero en efectivo. Feliz Año Nuevo para ellos - no me volverán a ver! Solo efectivo - solo efectivo ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

This is a typically Thai restaurant in that it is welcoming, casual and friendly. Service is reasonably quick and the staff are warm, helpful and smiling. ( unlike most Chinese restaurants!) The menu is extensive, including all the usual suspects and the value is good to avarage. The house wine, which is Thai is worth missing unless you like fruit juice with your meal. To be fair, the quality of the food was fine. Nothing special. However, the portions are very small. Especially the fish cake starters, so you may have to double your orders. This is the main downside of this otherwise decent restaurant.

It was 4°C outside and this restaurant in Wood Green had their air-conditioning switched on. The staff were asked on NUMEROUS occasions to turn off the air-conditioning but the staff refused to do so even though they said "they had switched it off"... It was so cold we didn't take our hats and coats off the whole time we were there. Definitely won't be going back there again. The whole experience was spoilt because we're were so cold inside the restaurant and caused our food to go cold too. Also, definitely not worth the £25 paid per person. They don't even deserve the one star given them. It was probably a ploy to get us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible by keeping the air conditioning on. Well, it's a disgusting way to treat your customers. Absolutely disgusting!!!!!
